Unholy with San'layn. Just for the class fantasy aspect of it, so hopefully it will be the go to. Something about mixing some blood magic into all the disease stuff just feels like nice fluff.
Initially I was very excited for Rider UH when it was first revealed, but now I'm pretty certain I'll be playing San'Layn. Rider seems cool, but I think San'Layn adds a lot more to UH's kit that it's already trying to do (brick wall with constant rot damage). With the recent changes to blight working with DT AND it being on a 45 second CD, I think I'd much prefer the reliability of pressing a turbo mode DT (San'Layn + Blight + DT which is already good) every 45 seconds for that unending pressure instead of waiting 90 seconds for that 4 x horseman go. San'Layn just seems more consistent to me overall which is how I prefer to play. For frost, it's probably going to be a duel-wield rider build since I only play frost for RBG's. Having all the riders attached to drake stun with all the benefits they provide for the initial teamfight clash makes a tonne of sense (20% reduced damage + AMS to prevent getting CD'd while you're ramping, AoE on your oblits from horseman DnD, Trollbane slowing people etc).
My god great video, you break things down so well. Can we please get some links to your PvP frost talents please so we can import them in game? Will also make for a great video too with different builds we can try and your explanation on different talents. The detail you go into is fantastic. Keep up the great work, subscribed
I feel like the 5% per rider damage reduction is undersold in this video. 20%reduced damage while you do your burst seems really good considering the ams the riders give has a 45 sec cd.
oh you know I didn't think about that, I was just thinking 5% passive dmg reduct to all, it's based on how many you have out? so it stacks? that would make it significantly better. (probably pvp nerf worthy, tbh)
the reduction doesnt work like that, otherwise if all of them make 10 dps, and you reduce their damage to 25% means a reduction of 100% being 0 the damage
Feel like they both feel as good as theyve felt for a long time. UDK less bloaty and annoying. Frost has more gameplay to it other than being a meme. Personally I'm positive.
Glad to see you pumping out more videos flark, hopefully tww will rekindle some of that WoW love for you. Atleast it seemed like you got kind of burned out towards mid to end of dragonflight. Expansion is shaping up to be looking good, some nice pvp changes (no more vault, more conquest, quest to get a pvp weapon, etc.). Cheers and thanks for the content.
that is extremely kind, and yes it was a huge combination of things that took me away from the game and makin stuff. but you're completely right, there's a lot of really quality changes coming out that will streamline the pvp experience and hopefully energize the community to play. hero talents are just fun to play around with, without any of the awful timegating and grinding that came with things like covenants. I have high hopes.
Would love a Blood DK pvp guide. Started WoW at shadowlands excited to try pvp with my blood dk only to realise that tanks aren't suitable for pvp. Now a Frost DK main but would love to pursue my beginner dream to make Blood DK work.
Endless winter has been insanely good for me in the prepatch! The only thing i change is having wyrm instead of howling blast damage. Makes people panic in solo lol. So stoked for this build in the expac. Thank you!
yeah the endless winter build is my favorite I've made so far for frost in war within prepatch. that said, I also made that change because rider needs frostwyrm's talented into for the capstone.
@@Flarkness I saw that. The endless frost horseman I hope is going to be so good to play! Your build literally made me reroll my main from a healer. I've been a healer since bc. Frost dw just feels so fun! I know solo shuffle is bogus but I've hit 2k in it never being a dps before. Seriously thank you
Yo ofc we need a blood guide! wont play it too much but there will be the day i wanna try it in blitz and if there is a good guide it will take away the 5 hour setup phase of swapping to a new spec
So is 2h frost with Deathbringer just completely outclasssed by dual wield? I don't care much for dual wield personally, I love 2h too much. Curious on your thoughts.
absolutely not. 2h still has stronger setups because of oblit dmg and cleaving strikes high value with all these dnd talents. in fact, I'm sure most players will stick with what they know since they've been doing it for so long and it only gets more juiced by all these great changes. grip blind remorse dnd and oblit cleave their entire team during a deathbringer window. the only reason I've talked about dw so much for frost during the war within prepatch is because now the trade off of dw vs 2h actually matters. dw does more sustain and has more survivability for more agency outside of goes, and 2h has better goes. for the last 4 years that didn't matter at all because frost couldn't DO anything outside of goes, but now it can. so the trade off actually matters! sorry for the long answer but wanted to be thorough.
Disgusting Blood player here - but permenent Essence of the Blood Queen is insane. Up to near one-hundred percent uptime where you have; + 20% Haste + 28% more damage with Death Strtike + Vampiric Strtike dealing Shadow Damage which is a minimum of + 20% damage and up to + 50% damage against plate. + Infliction of Sorrow potentially one shotting because if you have 100% uptime due to Vampiric Blood (every Death Strike reduces its cooldown) - the damage won't have a cap.
I think races are pretty much a toss up right now, and the same couple that have been technically BIS (orc, maybe dark iron) probably stay BIS. but I can maybe combine it with some other ideas and make a compilation video of little choices to make if you have any other stuff to add
@@Flarkness Awesome. Sadly I don’t have any other good ideas, but would definitely be interested on your takes on which racials align best with the strengths/ weaknesses of the different play styles, in the builds you discussed
yeah absolutely, I think both weapon types are so strong they can use either hero talents. the rule of thumb is that dw has more sustain and survivability, and 2h has more burst and better setups.
San'layn Unholy seems to strong for me, though it dosen't have strong mobility, I can see that sutain damage from Rider being applied to San'layn as well, having even shoter cooldown than Rider, and it's worth to mention, Vampiric Strike has 200% AP mod (I believe it remains unchanged in PvP) making it very strong button to press, adding Unholy more impactful globals over mobility and big 1.5m CD. For Frost, I believe both picks will be strong, a choice between sustain with great moblity and burst with great surivivability.
yeah the san'layn toolkit just seems to perfectly encompass what unholy wants to do, even if rider does as well it might not be able to match san'layn point for point with additional damage and self sustain. very excited to try!
which hero talent & spec combination are you most excited to try?
San'layn/UH just seems like such a fun time! Love the class fantasy and the mechanics
Unholy with San'layn. Just for the class fantasy aspect of it, so hopefully it will be the go to. Something about mixing some blood magic into all the disease stuff just feels like nice fluff.
yes please do blood dk bg guide!
I ❤ when Jason Bateman teaches me about death knights
Flarkness: "army had a 3 min cd so unholy doesn't have that 1.5 min 4 horsemen"
Gordo from raise abom (with a 1.5 min cd): "am I a joke to you??"
OH right gordo does give it a 1.5 option that makes rider significantly better
also, they did in fact remove all of the unholy cdr talents and bake them into the abilities so DT and apoc are 45 sec base and army is 3 min

yeah well thank you for the heads up, if it makes it to live I will change that up

Could work in BGs but tanks just aren't balanceable in arena generally.
Yea thank god Blizzard is nerfing tanks in pvp because they're a disease
What are timestamps lol. Flark talks, I learn, time passes. I dont make the rules, that's just how it works.
great content man, subbed.
thank you man tons more DK PVP stuff coming out when the season starts!

looks like dual wield will just be the way in TWW for frost
deathbringer is beautiful
Rider of apocalypse looks dope af! Idc what other stuff do, or if this one is inferior to the other choice!
the flavor is definitely oozing from rider.
