What about the buttons to switch from time and the fuel consumption? I really want to change the original with a system like this... And thusfar does it still work like a charm?
Yes, it got the full Bose system, with the sub in the rear. No, I wish I bought a different unit. To many cons for the money. This model has 2 or 4 GB of ram ( Really slow on booting Up and feels like an old android tablet) No software/Android updates from company. Once I connected the unit to internet connection, it installed so many updates it became unusable. You can't clear the notifications from the list. Otherwise pretty good, plenty of add-on ports for the unit, works with the steering wheel controls.
Hello first of all I must say your videos are great keep them up! I have 2 questions for you related to the Mazda I have the same colour Mazda as you but I can’t find out what the colour code is for the car what is your colour code? And my phone button on my steering wheel does nothing and I’ve looked in the radio settings for Bluetooth setup but nothing comes up any ideas? Thanks again!
Hello. Thank you I will. 👍 My cars paint code is : Mazda 6 Sparkling Black Code 35N Is the button plugged in the steering wheel harness? Does the button work itself, or it shorted out and kicked the bucket?
Yes we had fun, thanks for the info and the entertainment! you get a like and a sub from me. I just bought a GH a couple of days ago, new head unit from Kaufland waiting to get thrown in!
Hi Klavs. Very much enjoyed your video. You inspired me to put in my own unit in my Mazda GH last night. I got the EKYI T7. I love it. But there's a slight issue that maybe you cab help with? I no longer have a way of adjusting the old orange digital clock display. And the steering wheel controls arent't working. Do you have any issues or how do you adjust your clock now? Also the original head unit had 1 large and 1 medium sized white connecter but the new head unit only seems to have a slot for the large one so the other one was left unplugged. Could that be the reason? Btw - I'm a complete noob at this. Thanks again :)
Hi Jakob. Glad you enjoy the videos. You are correct about your theory. On the head units every single wire means and does something. When changing head units or doing wiring, my rule is to ensure you have everything covered/ plugged in. The unit I installed was designed for my Mazda 6, so it works with the wheel and display controls. I could recommend, looking for a patch harness or add-on harness for the head unit model.
@@KlavsX_ Thank you so much for your quick response. I will look into. I am very curious to know how you adjust the clock on the original LCD display now that the buttons on the original head unit are gone? Thanks again.
Klaus on a different subject we discussed before is there an engine/fuel sensor which would make my car blow neatly diesel smoke every 100 mile or so? Only lasts a day until the next 100 miles All this started after fitting an aftermarket DPF Thanks ?
Did you program your ECU to the aftermarket DPF and the flow it can do? if there would be something off with the DPF, you would get a engine light or the engine would be underpowered/limp mode
There could be 3 things that you should check. 1) If you have plugged the cables/ rcs into the right audio ports ( Use manual, with the head unit/ screen comes with) 2) You might need a add-on box or adapter for the Bose system 3) The unit might not have enough juice/ volts to power the system ( I kind of doubt it) You can try with plugging in only 1 speaker/cable and see if it works. In the worst case the unit could be faulty itself.
hey i got an android unit but not the same of yours... i have disconnected two big white connectors from the stock unit, but reconnect only the big one in the adapter from android unit. everything seems working but i have lost the volume control on the steering wheel, have you an idea?
Hey, mhh. Did the wheel controls worked on the old stereo? if yes then it's pretty obvious what's up, you are missing an adapter. There should be adapter that takes the 2 white connectors and connects to the new head unit 1 connector. in simple words 2 into 1 adapter. Every single wire on the connectors have a function that they are doing
yes before its working fine with the stick unit, I'm not surprise it is not working with the new one because an adapter is missing on the package i will discuss with the vendor to find a way jave you a link of your installed unit please 29:28 ?
Do contact the vendor who sold you the unit, it's pretty weird not to include an adapter that makes things work. Sadly Amazon doesn't sell the same head unit, now it's literally googling Mazda 6 GH head unit, to see what's on the market for a good price
Hey does this car have bose system? i have one with bose and my connector from stock harness is white connector and I can't plug into my aftermarket headunit. it looks like i need buy a separate Rca male(connect to aftermarket rca female) to white connector... female(connect stock harness here) please help
Hey, yes I have the Full Bose system, sub in the back, speakers and tweeters. For the head unit I got, it came with a patch harness, and all the adapters. You should be able to goggle your head unit and see if the company sells patch harnesses and adapters specific for your car, universal patch harness can work too, but you need to connect your own wiring.
Yes, I have the full Bose system. No issues connecting the head unit. With this head unit, (I'm using) you don't need extra cables. Everything is in the box.
Oh, nice. It looks like a really nice unit. Just make sure it has more than 4 GB of Ram. My ones is pretty slow ,comparing to my smartphone. it's 2GB variant, as back then They didn't had it in stock

@@KlavsX_ So i assume you're not THAT happy with your Eonon unit in your Mazda 6 anymore? 😅 I was actually considering if i wanted to buy the same model that you have but Eonon has discontinued that model and rather replaced with the new Q98Pro unit, which has 3gb of ram but overall nice specs and with my BOSE speakers i think the unit will deliver a very good audio quality since it is BOSE compatible. But it is rare to see units being sold with 3GB Ram and not 2 or 4 which is the usual amount you get 🤣
😂 not That happy, is the best way to describe it. I can see the reason why it's been discontinued. 😅 Oh, about the BOSE system, you don't have to worry, even my unit, can easily blow the speakers out or rattle the windows out of their frames. 😂 3Gb is really weird, more than weird, it sounds suspicious. I would recommend getting the best one ( MAX ram possible). After a year, you won't need to buy a NEWER model, cuz it got more RAM or it is supposed to be faster.
The one that already exist in the car? On my headunit it's not working too. It might be because of the extra 2 USB as add on. But that's just my theory

with a paper clip you can jump the wires, BUT the clip will get HOT. So I don't want to recommend that. Or make a wire that jumps the signal, so the light sees voltage and switches off. Only you need to find the wiring diagram and see what you need to jump / intercept / the signal to trick the ECU
