You two are so cute. The hole in the doll’s head is similar to how the antique bisque doll heads are. They cover it with a thin piece of cork called a pate and then the wig fits over top. Rachel Hoffman from Virtual doll convention has some good videos demonstrating how these antique dolls are made. Maybe you could do something similar. Pretty doll. I can’t wait to see her new wig!
I laughed so hard I cried when your Mom put the flowers in the doll’s head. LOL 😊😊 PS. The only suggestion I could come up with for covering the hole would be to measure the circumference and then go to the store and see if you could find a plastic Rubbermaid-like container lid about the same size, or one that you could easily cut to fit, and glue it on the top of the head. 😊

No, not the sloth or flower lol! Maybe ask Jack and Jill? Lol Seriously, it's a shame how they can get away with not making some dolls correctly. Poor adorable London. She's a huge size dolly! ROFL!!! Dubbing Mom with a new name of 'Missy Hot Bottom'! This was another GREAT review, especially covering this bigger doll. YES! That wig is beyond disgusting. i'm wondering if those doll heads move along a conveyor belt with that huge hole on the top? Maybe in order to attach it to the body? Who knows. As for that hole in the head, wow, that IS huge! i went on the hunt for information and nothing was coming up on both the internet nor YT. i'll keep searching. There are doll repair videos/sites that i will check out for you...but knowing both of you, you'll want answers like yesterday because you'll want to finish this project asap! lol! i did ask the question to a couple of repair ladies so hopefully that will get back with me. There is also a YT channel called The Broken Doll who might answer? Hey, i don't have any patience anymore so knowing me, i would do as Missy Hot Bottom mentioned of filling the head with stuffing...but then i would slap on some duct tape and call it a day. LOL!!! i figure the 'hole' would be hidden by the new wig anyway. As always, thank you for giving the sizes! i find it amazing this doll can wear 4T pants yet also wear a 24 month onesie! i'm the same way with wanting my dolls to be dressed for the weather. LOVED seeing Pippin!!! i swear she's a Pom! Ok, putting the sloth in the head cracked me up...reminded me of the head vases from back in the day when adding the flowers. YOU crack us up!! Fill it with stuffing and slap some duct tape on it! Lol! She KINDA sorta did that……we stuffed it as much as we possibly could….then she had some nice soft, thick, plastic stuff hanging around the house and she used that. But now the doll has a soft spot,……we should’ve done what one of our subscribers said to do no use playdoe or something….who thing that would harden. Anyway, the wig covers it and it’s working. 🥰

many doll kit sellers sell pieces of vinyl for practice, they even have practice heads so maybe order a practice head or talk to the seller and ask for the size of vinyl the hole is? Just a suggestion. Have a nice weekend.
I have this doll to but id never take the hair wig off. But if you want a round plastic peice ive taken porcelain dolls apart before and they have those peices try ebay for those parts.
Measure the hole, then go to bountiful baby & order a plug nearest the size. A plug should give you some room in order to glue it well into place. That was the first thing that popped into my head. I wonder if the hold is an actual defect.......they covered it with cardboard to sell the doll anyway figuring no one would remove the wig. OH, can you do a How To video when you do her wig plz? !! I'd love to see how it's done.

@@dollhappy2449 The plugs are to make reborn limbs easier to move, but if you can find one to fit the hole, I'd think it might work & be more stable for the glue. I'd also suggest water proof glue just in case you should ever need to wash the dolls hair in future.
Do you know why the Masterpiece dolls are no longer made? It seems as if a lot of people would be interested in them…I’m very happy to have this doll, even with all her “issues.” 🙃🥰

Maybe you can use some clay or playdough and shape it smooth to close up the hole.
