    I did this example twice. I was happy with it both times! Good work.

    MAY I ask where's the difference about the lumped port integral line up to down vs down to up?

      No difference.. E-fileds are anyway switching between upside and downside

    Respected Ma'am, after assigning excitation, why do we make that vertical line from the triangle? What does it signify? Also, here it is from top to bottom but in the coupler video it is from bottom to top. Please explain.

    • @RFDesignbasics
      @RFDesignbasics  4 года назад

      It's e field lines which signifies TE10 dominant mode excitation. Direction doesn't matter because it's time varying oscillating field.

    • @unrmaestro

      as much as i know when u simulate the CPW u assume a infinitively long transmission line comin into ur port
      and u do excitation like input from that port and use the waveport type

    Why the microstrip line is draw as "Rectangle" not "Box"?
    Is the copper thickness too small to ignore it?

    • @RFDesignbasics
      @RFDesignbasics  4 года назад +2

      Yes there is not much difference. If you want to consider it, you can take a box and thickness as 0.035 mm. You will get approximate similar results.

    Why there was no thickness for ground plane, microstrip line it should have a thickness?

    • @RFDesignbasics
      @RFDesignbasics  2 года назад +1

      You may take thickness of 0.035 mm and in that case need to assign copper/conductor. If we take zero thickness and assign PEC. It gives same result.

    I don't understand why you simulated an arbitrary line not 50ohms line that you have calculated in the first part of the video?

    • @RFDesignbasics
      @RFDesignbasics  4 года назад

      It is Same line which is calculated in first part, but some approximation is made for the dimension for obvious reason.
