Just a thought. Maybe take your couple top selling boxes and put them out as displays above your mailboxes and that way people will know they are available as well.

I 100% agree with your countertop layout and overall set up. Yours is absolutely the best that I’ve seen so far in terms of how you designed it for the functionality of your store and restricting customer access. I noticed your mailboxes and was wondering if customers are able to access them after normal business hours or if you plan to incorporate a system to allow access after hours if so, how do you coordinate the entrance to the store outside of normal business hours customers have a key or some sort of key fob to get in?
This is AWESOME. just what i needed. I wish i was as handy as you but at least it gives a sense of direction. Are those stick on floor panels? I need to do new flooring leaning towards vinyl plank but its a bit more expensive.
@@ShipArizona I am honestly not sure where it is in the postal code of hundreds of pages but when I opened I was required by my local PO and my franchise to keep it blocked off from the public since you are holding other peoples mail. Now this was when we had USPS authorized shippers and may not be the case now. I really don't know now but that was what I was told when I opened 11 or 12 years ago.

Great Idea on the drop off area it is ridiculous to wait behind 20 Amazon returns, when I just need to drop off.

Thank you! My mailboxes are only open during business hours has not been a problem yet. The insurance and investing in a gate was to much.

It is siding so it comes in 8x4 sheets. Much cheaper than flooring or other design panels
How did you get your contracts with UPS and USPS?
You have to apply for ups (check out my video on it) and usps you just make an Endicia account

The post office actually requires your back to be blocked off from the front if you have packages in the back.

I think that is the ideal set up anyways. Even with the 3 foot gap I have if I don’t keep it blocked off people walk around
Do you need authorization, permit, etc to have mailboxes in your store? Or anyone can have mailboxes in their stores?

Any idea if I can open a store while having a full time job? My thought was to have part time employees and I would visit daily.
It’s do able but the up front costs rise because you need to basically pay them out of your own pocket until business picks up
What do you do about claims or lost packages that were processed at your store. Do you have the customer fill out terms and conditions?
I will handle claims sometimes but typically it’s easier if the customer does it on their own. Have only had 3 issues with lost or damaged packages

Yes they do. I do the pick up requests on their site. Apparently they get commissions if we do it through there.
