Good video. We had a ford 2000 with a little smaller bush hog on it. We had around320 acres of pasture land with a few hills on it. My dad would send my grandpa out to mow while we would build fence or whatever. This farm was full of multiflower rose bushes. Of course this tractor didn't have live pto and he would hit one of those big bushes the tractor would pull down to nothing he would take it out of gear and let it eat until it was gone then he would take off to the next one. That old tractor put down a lot of those big bushes it was fun to here him hit one though. That poor old thing lasted as long as we farmed I think I quit farming in 1992 and Dad bought it new in 1962 I loved that tractor !
Sounds great. That’s a nice maneuverable tractor. Right size for brushing. I have a magnetic mount for my GoPro. Works great on farm gear. Inexpensive.
I've got the same GoPro.. have only used it a few times. Phone is always on me.. Looks like the little ford and the mower are good investments👍 As for the YT money.. they were gracious enough to actually pay pretty good for the first year.. made more then, than I have in the 3 plus years since 🤔 Thanks for the update Pete!!
That is some hard hogging. Hill plus years of growth makes for a beat up operator but it is satisfying to clean it up. I would say the work you put in on the tractor was well worth it!
It certainly does the job doesn't it,you going to build some kind of brush guard for the front end?? Just like my CA those headlights are just daring a two inch sapling to take a swing at them.
The tractor sounds nice. You did a great job on it. It's not often you get the equipment out at this time of year in WI. We have had a very strange winter.
Ha! It does work, reads about 500/600 rpm high. It's actually pegged in the video. I need to count the teeth on the drive gear, see if I can get a different one.
Man yeah Mr Pete the little ford that could!! That thing runs amazing!! Distinctive sound at working rpm's 😁 How is the fuel consumption? I really enjoyed the ride!! Are you just making access to parts of the farm or bigger plans? I may have missed that part, I apologize. Yes sir, the gopro is awesome!! Same one I still use. I think it was the last of the "good ones" . They say lots of issues with the newer ones. I love mine! The color, audio , and stability are truly amazing!! Thank you sir for bringing us along, look fwd to seeing what's next!! Off the wall question,but how does the ford steer, in comparison to other tractors you have with PS? Dads is a breeze but not as "smooth/easy" as say the 165, or the 180. Just curious, may just be Ford's. My 250 was a different style steering so couldn't really compare. Thank you sir!! 😁😁👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thanks Nelson! Mainly I just wanted access to parts of the farm that I couldn't get to any more even to check fences, and just clean up some open areas. I read a lot of good reviews on the Hero 8 before I bought it. I like it, just need to learn more on how to use it. I's say the PS on the Ford isn't great, just ok. The PS system on this one was full of water so I figured maybe the pump isn't in great shape, but maybe that's just the way they are.
