a solid 7.5/10 from me. a lot of character building, which i didnt expect. but a lot less world building then i expected, partially because of the way those multiverse characters are written. they are more of an obsticle in the way of the main conflict between strange and wanda, rather than a fully fledged side story everyone has thought they would be. but im not disappointed though. worth the ticket money.
its about Wanda & Dr strange how many plot points do you want going on in one movie any long time MCU fan been waiting for this version of wanda for a long time what not everything has to be a avengers movie

Although not as big as Endgame, I enjoyed Dr Strange 2 more because this movie actually has a solid plot and a straight time line… not 150 characters in 20 different scenarios all happening at the same time. Elisabeth Olsen’s performance was incredible and made the audience really feel her pain.
Can we just take a minute to appreciate this channel and it's viewers. There's never any spoilery comments in Charlie's non spoiler videos and I think that's beautiful 😁
Charlie, you kill me. "She will wreck you, and you will love it.". Thanks for the non-spoiler review. I'll be back for the spoiler videos after I've seen the movie early next week. I just watched Multiverse of madness and I have to say it didn't disappoint. I do wish it had more "Multiverse" related things and leaned less on America Chavez for the story they could have made it longer, but non the less it lived up to its hype!!
All good 😊 I will try and support more I have loving you content for ages and I really appreciate the time and effort you have put in for so long. Keep it up and thank you 😊
I really can't wait to see this movie. And I hope it is not banned in my country. It should come out tomorrow, and am looking forward to see your longer spoilery video with cameos :) Also been a long time fan of Sam Rami, since his Spider-man trilogy, contribution in Hercules an Xena series, and also Mantis. That is a pleasant surprise that Dann Elfman also made the music for the movie too :)
I just finished watching the movie and even though it’s short for a traditional Marvel movie and it was a bit dark, it was still satisfying to watch 😊 I’m excited for you to discuss the easter eggs.
My first trip back to the theatre after a long break was "Ghostbusters: Afterlife." Since then, the only other movie I went to a theatre to watch was "No Way Home." MCU movies kind of DEMAND the theatrical experience, don't you think?
Definitely go to a theater for any MCU movie. Don't wanna die of Covid? Go on a weekday matinee if you can, or if not, wait about a week after release and go on a weekday night. The theater will be relatively uncrowded and you can relive your normal life of loving movies in a theater. When I went to a theater for No Way Home it was pure pleasure to experience not this "new normal" crap..but the old normal.
Is Doctor Strange living his life guilt free after he made everyone forget about Peter Parker in general after he agreed to do the first spell despite Wong warning him all of it which he doesn't remember now? Do you think somehow he would remember this cause he needs to know what caused the Multiverse of Madness? Is Doctor Strange basically the bad guy after everything that happened in Spider-Man No Way Home?
For any of you who have watched shang-chi, i think thats what Wanda is going through in that movie like how Shang-chi's father went through the shang-chi movie. She does something at the end that changes her from being this villain to this hero. that is my theory.
Just finished watching the movie a few minutes ago here in PH. The film was fun but like Charlie mentioned it is not that big of an event like avengers end game 2.0. But still enjoyable specially when you are watching the mcu movies and series as a whole. It is still a treat for the fans of Marvel in general. Enjoy it when you are able to view it at your country.
They should do character building/ history in the TV series form like Moon Knight. Then have the characters in movie to save from using to much time in the movie itself to explain a character
I think that's what they should've done with The Eternals. Put those characters on Disney plus & flesh out more character development. Make people care about them and then release them on to the viewing public. I loved The Eternals but a lot of people didn't.
I can’t wait to hear the post credit explanation! Coming from someone that’s not a big comic book person I’m chomping at the bit to see where this is going!!
I love the movie overall. I love the small comedy with it, the jump scares and most action scenes. Excited to see what's next for Dr.Strange and Wong. Also a few questions about characters and plot after everything was done
Just watched Dr Strange. It was awesome! Forget the cameos, the horror elements shined the most in this movie. Feels like I'm watching Evil Dead and Carrie.
Charlie, you are so much more positive on the review. All the others I've watch not so much😞. Guess I'll just have to see it for myself to see where it really lands.
Charlie has positive look on everything. If he doesn't like something, he is so light on bad comments and always focuses on positive things. Not everyone need to be dramatic but it's frustrating sometimes with Charlie. But he is informed very well on details and clearly makes huge effort.
You will love it man. Saw it today. I was disappointed after watching Grace randolph's review yesterday. Guess what, i disagree with her after seeing it today. Watch it on the big screen. 🙂
Ahh!!! Good morning Charlie!!! Was totally totally was waiting for your review l!!! Thanks for being honest about being it big and what not I honestly can’t wait to see the Khang arc…that gonna be total madness!! -and Dr.Strange is the beginning of all these and I’m so happy to be able to watch this during this time

Just seen the film. Really solid again. Agree that it's not quite an Endgame level film but it was very good. Saw it in 3D which gave it that extra edge with all the spells etc. Wanda was amazing. And the cameos (some in particular?!) Were great. Can't wait to see what they do going forward now.
What do you think is going on with Scarlet Witch at the beginning of this movie apart from having dreams about Speed and Wiccan and why would Doctor Strange ask her for help after what she did in Westview during the Wanda Vision TV show? Is she going to be the villain of this movie alongside D'Spayre, Chthon, Shuma-Gorath and Nightmare?
OMG, I just geeked out big time when Charlie put in my favorite scene from Army of Darkness. Ash is the man! I wish they could squeeze him in a mutliverse somewhere. I’d love to see Ash interact with Strange.
We all have waited so long for this week! I feel like I'm being spoiled with the final episode of Moon Knight and then I was able to get tickets for early release! I am so excited!
People are saying that plot wise this movie isn't a good, but they need to understand that this movie isn't something like Infinity War, Endgame or Spiderman trilogy. This movie has to be something like a new beginning of Marvel Phase 5 with upcoming bigger Avengers level threat.
wanda so op in this movie, defeating the illuminati so ez sinister strange kills thanos easily in his universe. the main villain is scarlet witch. then clea will appear in the end of the movie asking for help to dr.strange againts galactus in their universe. scarlet witch will kill professor x so easy.
I can’t wait to see this movie I loved Sam Raimi and his Evil Dead that is my favorite horror franchise. I honestly can’t wait for this horror/fantasy/comedy movie. Dr. Strange, Scarlett Witch, Wong, America Chavez, and more this finna be awsome can’t fkin wait💯🔥
just got home from seeing it! I loved it!! Sam Rami definitely has his signature all over it! I love the horror aspect of the movie. Definitely lived up to the horror hype! Absolutely brutal especially for Marvel.
Things that kind-of made me feel underwhelmed by the movie. Remember this is just an opinion, I just expected slightly more for this amazing movie... well, was amazing. 1. The illuminati was kinda disregarded and they could have done better. 2. All the newly introduced characters got so few screentime or they just immediately got killed off like defender strange and the weird looking one. 3. They just instantly burnt the books that could help strange or wanda do things. The main problem is that the entire movie is just kinda unbalanced and does not meet our expectations for it because we expect so much more from marvel movies. Overall I would give it a 6/10, still a good movie I would recommend watching it.
Definitely not your typical mcu movie. Lots of horror elements. This movie should have been rated R and it would have made certain scenes even better. There's one scene that's legit jaw dropping. A few wtf moments. Definitely have to watch Wanda vision to enjoy this movie. There was multiverse but not a lot. Don't expect cameo after cameo after cameo like how people said there was gonna be. They should really do more multiverse tho. The possibilities are endless. It's entertaining, never got bored, although it does leave more questions then answers by the end. Overall it was a good movie. Can't really say much without spoiling since the trailers really haven't shown anything lol 8.5/10
@@DavidMartinez-ce3lp so people are upset cause it’s more a doctor strange movie then some big cameo orgy? Sounds like fans hyped themselves up too much….again 😂
The people should want a new iron man and not a new captain america, he ran away and iron man sacrifices himself.. i dont understand why cap is so "needed" in the mcu rn
I just saw the movie. One of the first things I noticed is when Dr strange is fighting the octopus monster, I think it's when he first lands: in the background behind him is xaviars wheelchair from the original fox xmen with the classic x shaped spokes on the wheel
Just watched the movie. Loved the pacing, the story beats, the visuals. Character development was good but a little predictable, with Olsen being amazing. 8.5/10.
i’m so confused i don’t know what to think.. i’ve seen people saying sam raimi was an awful choice of director for this movie, but there’s also people like you saying he did a fantastic job.. well, i guess i’m gonna see it for myself tomorrow
I'm just going to say this, I was highly entertained by this movie and also surprised with the cameos. Of course we're all entitled to our own opinions and that's great, but because it's an MCU movie some are going in thinking their getting that Phase 3 or 4 MCU movie... be opened minded and have fun, don't sit there with a clipboard and analyze everything that didn't seem like an MCU movie... it's Phase 5.👍
wanda so op in this movie, defeating the illuminati so ez sinister strange kills thanos easily in his universe. the main villain is scarlet witch. then clea will appear in the end of the movie asking for help to dr.strange againts galactus in their universe. scarlet witch will kill professor x so easy.
Yes, we’ve all been conditioned to NEVER leave the theater after the movie is over just to watch the mid or post-credit scenes to stay up on what’s coming next in future films. Can’t wait to watch the finale of Moon Knight & Dr. Strange: Multiverse of Madness on Friday. Gonna be a big week for Marvel.
Re: Doctor Strange 2: Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness I don't agree with some of the negative comments I've read about the sequel to the Doctor Strange movie. I found the movie to be very educational. I learnt things while watching the second movie that I can't honestly say I got from the first movie. Profound lessons including, but not limited to: 1) No matter how interesting Marvel writers can make a storyline by coming up with neat or creative work-arounds to formidable holes in certain story arcs, they can still turn a storyline to shit - literally - in the last 5 minutes of a movie. 2) Captain Marvel suffers from a major case of RBF even in other universes where she is played by a different actress 3) If it is a male character and that male can't be trusted in one universe, the alternate versions of that male in other universes probably shouldn't be trusted either...unless there is no choice. 4) If the protagonist of a Marvel movie is written up to be "evil' but: [i] You can totally sympathize with her motivations rather than buy into the idea that she is supposed to be seen as malevolent, and [ii] You find it difficult to agree with the logic of the antagonists when they are supposed to be the "good guys" but as much as you try to force yourself, you can't be convinced by the reasons they give for why they don't want to give the protagonist what she really wants as a reasonable alternative to the ass-whooping she's about to dish out to everyone, and [iii] When the protagonist has a kick-ass set of powers that surpasses those of the "good guys", then: --> The only way writers know how to get rid of this complex problem is to have the protagonist experience an Ava Starr / Ghost (Antman 2) epiphany and decide immediately that she no longer wants to be "bad' anymore. 5) In pretty much every role other than the one she won an Academy Award for, Charlize Theron has played the same character and does the same steely stare look in every one of them. 6) Marvel writers are cock teasers. They teased us with the prospect of revealing the Superior Iron Man character but all they gave us was Lashana Lynch. I like Lashana. Across several movies she has pretty much perfected the ability to deliver every one of her lines while sneering 7) If I'm not careful, it's very easy for me to miss that certain characters seem to be written by Marvel writers as a proxy to represent the "real" message I should take from the movie. And that message is that, although "America" was undependable and inconsistent for almost everything that "America" was called on to do, "America's" biggest reason for not being a better "America" was because "America" didn't realize how awesome "America" actually is. Thanks for the learning experience Marvel but go home, you're drunk!

a solid 7.5/10 from me. a lot of character building, which i didnt expect. but a lot less world building then i expected, partially because of the way those multiverse characters are written. they are more of an obsticle in the way of the main conflict between strange and wanda, rather than a fully fledged side story everyone has thought they would be. but im not disappointed though. worth the ticket money.
its about Wanda & Dr strange how many plot points do you want going on in one movie any long time MCU fan been waiting for this version of wanda for a long time what not everything has to be a avengers movie
@@phatch5444 we just had no way home where they bring in multiverse characters with fully fledged story and development. how is it unreasonable to expect the same in this one? drop your captain hindsight shit and use punctuaion.
@@Ballacha wtf are you even talking about lmfao are you really comparing Tobey & Andrew’s spiderverse characters to this illuminati that we got for one film? dumbest shit I’ve seen in my life we grew up w/ Andrew & Tobey characters clown 🤡
Been following you since GOT season 4. Glad RUclips is allowing tips now.
Thank you so much for the support!
Word! Nice breakdown, it's a big step moving forward in the MCU, miss and love EA
Appreciate it!
Funny because I felt the stories plot was trash
Can we just take a minute to appreciate this channel and it's viewers. There's never any spoilery comments in Charlie's non spoiler videos and I think that's beautiful 😁
Charlie, you kill me. "She will wreck you, and you will love it.". Thanks for the non-spoiler review. I'll be back for the spoiler videos after I've seen the movie early next week. The best part about having a birthday today is the last week of April or first week of May always kicks off the summer blockbuster movie season, and I have a feeling this kickoff won't be a disappointment.
Went to see the film without expectations. I was impressed! I agree that this movie has Raimi’s style and he delivered ♥️
Thanks! Your videos make it so much more enjoyable for me and thank you for getting me through the pandemic too!
I'm so glad! Thanks!
Just watched the movie, was expecting quite a bit more honestly, but pretty good movie overall. 7/10
I just watched Multiverse of madness and I have to say it didn't disappoint. I do wish it had more "Multiverse" related things and leaned less on America Chavez for the story they could have made it longer, but non the less it lived up to its hype!!
💯
Thanks for everything you have posted. It has truly been awesome 😎
Glad you enjoy it! Thanks for the support!
All good 😊 I will try and support more I have loving you content for ages and I really appreciate the time and effort you have put in for so long. Keep it up and
thank you 😊
I really can't wait to see this movie.
The music is amazing
If you see it can you record some scenes
Bro just tell me who dies
@@dbfilms342 I prefer to see the movie rather spoiling it
@@frenchiesaparis5741 I have no doubt it will be. Dann made Spider-man trilogy, The Original Flash in the 90s, and Batman and Batman returns music :)
I just finished watching the movie and even though it’s short for a traditional Marvel movie and it was a bit dark, it was still satisfying to watch 😊 I’m excited for you to discuss the easter eggs.
Thanks bro! Love your videos and journalism to this thing we love.
I appreciate that!
Cant wait to see this movie, i think im actually going to go to a movie theatre after almost 2 years :) Loved the first Doc Strange movie.
Have fun!
My first trip back to the theatre after a long break was "Ghostbusters: Afterlife." Since then, the only other movie I went to a theatre to watch was "No Way Home." MCU movies kind of DEMAND the theatrical experience, don't you think?
@@jacob4920 Yeah they really should extend an on demand movie thing, seems like I waited so long for the current spidey movie lol
Me fantastic and black bolt are in the movie. Tom cruise is not sadly
Love your enthusiasm, really looking forward to everything that is coming down the MCU pipeline!
Doctor Strange was meant to come out before Spider-Man, thats why you have that question.
Will he even remember casting the spell?
@@jonalmario9835 bruh
You have seen no way home right??? Wong didn’t actually tell him not to use the spell!!! That was a trailer mislead!!!
All men are bad in 2022. Didn't you know that?
Thanks Charlie for all of your amazing videos!
Thank you so much!
For any of you who have watched shang-chi, i think thats what Wanda is going through in that movie like how Shang-chi's father went through the shang-chi movie. She does something at the end that changes her from being this villain to this hero. that is my theory.
I don’t know how you can be a hero after killing that many people though…
Can’t wait for your full movie breakdown! I’m super excited! I have my ticket for Saturday!
Me too
Show off
what's show is there in this she/he is showing his/her excitement 😒😒
Thanks so much!
Been a fan! Keep up the amazing work... Me and my friends stay looking for the next EA - "Charlie Video"!
Thank you! That's awesome!
They should do character building/ history in the TV series form like Moon Knight. Then have the characters in movie to save from using to much time in the movie itself to explain a character
Been thinking the same since the Netflix shows.
I think that's what they should've done with The Eternals. Put those characters on Disney plus & flesh out more character development. Make people care about them and then release them on to the viewing public. I loved The Eternals but a lot of people didn't.
Jake Lockley at the end of Moon Knight, 😱😱😱 so dope 🔥
I can’t wait to hear the post credit explanation! Coming from someone that’s not a big comic book person I’m chomping at the bit to see where this is going!!
I love the movie overall. I love the small comedy with it, the jump scares and most action scenes. Excited to see what's next for Dr.Strange and Wong. Also a few questions about characters and plot after everything was done
Just watched Dr Strange. It was awesome! Forget the cameos, the horror elements shined the most in this movie. Feels like I'm watching Evil Dead and Carrie.
I’m going to see this movie tonight, really excited! Thanks for the heads up about the post-credits scene. Glad to know its not plot-relevant.
Imma have to agree that it’s not that good. Without spoiling it definitely will divide the fanbase. This is the last Jedi of the mcu.
Just finished it in Malaysia, really thankful for Kevin Feige and Marvel built the MCU to this extend. The whole movie is awesome
Ahh!!! Good morning Charlie!!!
Was totally totally was waiting for your review l!!!
Thanks for being honest about being it big and what not
I honestly can’t wait to see the Khang arc…that gonna be total madness!! -and Dr.Strange is the beginning of all these and I’m so happy to be able to watch this during this time
Thanks! My Pleasure!
This movie is such a disappoinment ffs why would they even used Superior Ironman Ultron bots if the weren't gonna put him in the actual movie? or even better reference him in some moments, but nahh. I love Dr Strange but Marvel Studios and Sam Raimi really Fucked this shit up!
It's all on you dude, not the studios.
I wonder if the creature arms picking up the lantern was a nod to what if.. from all the creatures he consumed. Maybe he was already on that path!!
Keep going, keep up the great work you've been doing for us for years. Thank you for it all. Truly.
@@wutangclan2051 People expecting Endgame level are idiots. 😂😂😂
This ISN'T an Avengers movie.
I still think strange knew there was another way and it could have meant him dying or something like that. He has some guilt.
It wasn't really good, it honestly was really mid to maybe even not being even alright... 4/10
She’s the main villain
Literally none of them r in it except Wanda and she is the villain I think
Lollll
Wanda is the main villain. Cthon is only mentioned but not a villain.
OMG, I just geeked out big time when Charlie put in my favorite scene from Army of Darkness. Ash is the man! I wish they could squeeze him in a mutliverse somewhere. I’d love to see Ash interact with Strange.
That would be amazing.
We all have waited so long for this week! I feel like I'm being spoiled with the final episode of Moon Knight and then I was able to get tickets for early release! I am so excited!
Charlie out here still killing it, love the vid
BEEN WAITING FOR THIS! you are the only person I can tolerate for a review. All other RUclipsrs who review marvel movies annoy me.
So far I've seen positive to mixed reviews. Despite that I can't wait to see the movie for myself on Saturday
People are saying that plot wise this movie isn't a good, but they need to understand that this movie isn't something like Infinity War, Endgame or Spiderman trilogy. This movie has to be something like a new beginning of Marvel Phase 5 with upcoming bigger Avengers level threat.
What does that got to do with the fact that a movie still gotta have a good plot
@@isaac-os7xq I mean they are mad about no proper explanation about the cameos.

Kevin Feige said that Sylvie and Loki opened the multiverse. It always existed but the MCU was separated from the other universes because of Kang

just got home from seeing it! I loved it!! Sam Rami definitely has his signature all over it! I love the horror aspect of the movie. Definitely lived up to the horror hype! Absolutely brutal especially for Marvel.
Charlie I have so many questions I can't wait for you to clear up for me!
Raimi said nah f Agatha from wandavision, not using her hope nobody remembers her
I'm glad that you made it out alive!! Thanks Emergency Awesome. May the fourth be with you.
Why are you spoiling this
Definitely not your typical mcu movie.
Wandavision meets Dr Strange, plus a couple of cameos. Not remotly as big as Endgame, not even to No way home
So it’s just a movie of WandaVision… ehh. I might skip then
Yeah, I thought they would really go nuts with this movie. Sounds kind of meh tbh.
@@DavidMartinez-ce3lp so people are upset cause it’s more a doctor strange movie then some big cameo orgy? Sounds like fans hyped themselves up too much….again 😂
@@brendaspence1824 that's what happened to me with Endgame. What an absolute disappointment.

The people should want a new iron man and not a new captain america, he ran away and iron man sacrifices himself.. i dont understand why cap is so "needed" in the mcu rn
Omg I cannot wait to see it! Looking forward to the cameos
Have fun!
8.5/10.
Loved it, the twist on dreaming is a hell of a spin haha
Thanks! Love the material, it has been several years now. Amazing Work!
Looks like we're finally getting John Krasinki as Mr. Fantastic!
I never get my fan casting. This is my first time getting that W.
Yeah. Confirmed.
i’m so confused i don’t know what to think.. i’ve seen people saying sam raimi was an awful choice of director for this movie, but there’s also people like you saying he did a fantastic job.. well, i guess i’m gonna see it for myself tomorrow
Thanks Charlie! Been watching your reviews for years and love your reviews. Keep up your dream, brother!

Re: Doctor Strange 2: Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness
I don't agree with some of the negative comments I've read about the sequel to the Doctor Strange movie.
I found the movie to be very educational. I learnt things while watching the second movie that I can't honestly say I got from the first movie. Profound lessons including, but not limited to:
1) No matter how interesting Marvel writers can make a storyline by coming up with neat or creative work-arounds to formidable holes in certain story arcs, they can still turn a storyline to shit - literally - in the last 5 minutes of a movie.
2) Captain Marvel suffers from a major case of RBF even in other universes where she is played by a different actress
3) If it is a male character and that male can't be trusted in one universe, the alternate versions of that male in other universes probably shouldn't be trusted either...unless there is no choice.
4) If the protagonist of a Marvel movie is written up to be "evil' but:
[i] You can totally sympathize with her motivations rather than buy into the idea that she is supposed to be seen as malevolent, and
[ii] You find it difficult to agree with the logic of the antagonists when they are supposed to be the "good guys" but as much as you try to force yourself, you can't be convinced by the reasons they give for why they don't want to give the protagonist what she really wants as a reasonable alternative to the ass-whooping she's about to dish out to everyone, and
[iii] When the protagonist has a kick-ass set of powers that surpasses those of the "good guys", then:
--> The only way writers know how to get rid of this complex problem is to have the protagonist experience an Ava Starr / Ghost (Antman 2) epiphany and decide immediately that she no longer wants to be "bad' anymore.
Across several movies she has pretty much perfected the ability to deliver every one of her lines while sneering
7) If I'm not careful, it's very easy for me to miss that certain characters seem to be written by Marvel writers as a proxy to represent the "real" message I should take from the movie. And that message is that, although "America" was undependable and inconsistent for almost everything that "America" was called on to do, "America's" biggest reason for not being a better "America" was because "America" didn't realize how awesome "America" actually is.
Thanks for the learning experience Marvel but go home, you're drunk!
