Great presentation of rare photos of the Greatest musicians. I was raised on Barbra Streisand's music. Mom had all her albums, plus Tony Bennett and Frank Sinatra albums, too. I've been a Beatles fan since age 11 when I became a member of an Official Beatles Fan Club b'twn 1964 and '66.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this shortly before or after Ringo underwent serious abdominal surgery which John was terrified he wouldn't survive?
Ringo & Paul didn't speak for a few years after Ringo (at John & George's request) came to Paul's house asking if he would postpone the release of his first solo album until after Let It Be came out. Paul told Ringo to F off and get out.
Lennon expressed worry that Ringo might have a hard time after the Beatles broke up. Seems like he was actively trying to include him and remain friends.
@@bingohhhhhhhhhhhh yes, John Lennon was a very good friend. Ringo once said John would give you his soul not like the other three, meaning himself and Paul and George. 🚶🚶🚶🚶🎸🎸🎸🥁 The GOATS
They were. George was in LA, and heard John and Ringo were recording, so he phone up, someone asked John if it was ok and his reply was “tell him to get down here with his guitar and help me finish this lick”, so he might not have been there for the full session, but he was there at some point….. it’s rumoured Billy Preston made a comment of “we should form a group” and John attitude went sour for the rest of the session
John left the Beatles in September 1969 and so the Beatles ended then not in 1970. It was in April 1970 that the Beatles partnership ended so not sure how the clip can say shortly after the Beatles broke up and then mention October 1970?
Even though John left in September 1969, The Beatles didn't officially break up until April 1970. Paul, George & Ringo recorded I Me Mine in January 1970
Maureen Starkey and George Harrison both said this was never a physical affair. Maureen going so far as to say it was "emotional", nor did Pattie Harrison ever see them in the act. She just presumed that's what they were doing. Ringo Starr's marriage to Maureen was over. He had numerous affairs, and was also drinking very heavily. But we forgive Ringo, cuz he's Ringo. He just wanted to play drums. George Harrison's marriage to Pattie was over. He had numerous affairs, pretty sure he was using cocaine and other substances, and Eric Clapton was sniffing around the whole time. In 1974, The Beatles legally dissolved. And if you watch Harrison's actions following this, he tries to distance himself from every Beatle he can, including Ringo. Even suing him in 1976. Harrison is done being a Beatle, and he's never going to work with McCartney again if he can help it. He has little to do with Lennon anymore either. But he can't get rid of Ringo. Because that is the genuine friendship he had in The Beatles. All he was to Lennon and McCartney was an employee, and when he had complete copyright ownership and publishing royalties from Harrisongs (which he set up in 1964, but did not use until 1968), all he was (specifically to McCartney) was competition.

It’s a Lennon castoff that he wrote at a time when Lennon himself was on a steep downgrade. “Goodnight Vienna” was even worse. I read somewhere that Frank Sinatra though George Harrison's "Something" was the most beautiful song he'd ever heard.
My mom was a big fan of those very three singers. I remember her singing “Second Hand Rose” as she did housework!
The last photo of John and Ringo made my heart feel heavy!💓 I miss John🥺💕 and best wishes to Ringo.✌️🥰
My sentiments exactly! 👍🩵

I think Ringo remained friends with everybody, he’s such a damn likable guy!
He was a good friend. He's really the only Beatle that has multiple pictures with the other three Beatles during the decade of the 70s.

Ringo was the last member of the Beatles to play with John on a song. "Cooking in the kitchen of love" on Ringo's Rotogravure album in 1976
I see May Pang beside John Lennon in the studio . Lovely lady.

John was an abusive arrogant POS

The last photograph of John and Ringo is quite eerie. Ringo looks rather concerned, it's as though he senses something terrible is going to happen.
Beautiful tribute.
That first picture is from '69. John had short hair in '70.
To be fair, John lennon quit the beatles in 1969
Lennon had scary long hair until he shaved his head in 1970.
@@moonbeamskies3346I prefer his long hair over his shaved head honestly. His shaved look ruins it.
MAY PANG singing? it had to a improvement.
Very nice!
Good job on this.
This broke me up....

John, George, and Ringo were not in the studio all at the same time on RIngo sessions.
Yes they where together in the studio but there are no pictures of that moment, but they where al together with Billy preston and Klaus Voormann

John Lennon was a good friend given Ringo I'm the Greatest and teaching Ringo how to sing Only you and Ringo does it great.
Ringo never gave up on his pal John
