Recently played as a single mother with one toddler in the Sims 2. Hired a nanny and she peed herself at the same time my toddler did. Of course, instead of bathing the toddler she decided to bath herself at the time my Sim came, so she did not take care of my toddler. Money well spent❤
@@ryanplaysthesims honestly after the sims 4 my standards are not high, the nanny there sometimes shows up AFTER my sims came home from work. Also, they call my kids to hang out with them when they age up a bit. Creepy.
i don't think i've ever cried laughing as much as when you accidentally called the baby 1 😂 but of course the others had to be named 2 and three, otherwise it would've been too weird. sims 2 babies and toddlers were SO hard to keep happy, you fought hard and we appreciate your service 😇
i played ts2 for the first time last year && gave my sim the family aspiration thinking it would be cute and easy and i was SO STRESSED. i wasn't prepared for the pregnant sims in ts2 and then when the baby came it was worse 😭 the kid ended up sleeping in the dogs bed most nights
I made the kid I babysat for and his brothers as Sims characters and their sims were so chaotic. I gave him family aspiration and he wanted 10 kids, so I had to not only have him adopt but have multiple affairs and secret love children. Then one of his brothers lived in a house where I forgot to but a smoke alarm and of course they had a fire and 2 of the 3 or 4 kids the brother and his wife had died, and his wife died. And the weird thing was the one child wasn't even in the room with the fire, it was almost like they spontaneously burst into flames! And the other brother had a dog and I guess there was a previous time the social worker gave them a warning because when the one parent was at work and the other went to take the dog for a walk, that was considered abandoning their child and it was taken away!
Few weeks ago I also did family-aspired sim and completed 10 kids desire (with a little help of mod to have 8+ people in household). Twins, single baby, two sets of twins, single baby and twins again. It's actually not that hard after the point of 3 babies (2 toddlers and a newborn). They grow up and start to help with cleaning and other chores. I didn't even hire nannies once, they are useless. And 10 kids were simpler than her husband's want... to have 5 perfect businesses. I did it too though. Also, did you know that after completing 10 kids want sims start to want 20 grandkids? That's fun.
Yeah once you have a teen it gets even easier cos they can help raise the younger siblings. If you want to have lots of kids and extra help, have 1 wait until they’re a kid, then start having the rest. By the time you’ve got a toddler and a baby you’ll have a teen to help out.
I completed the have 10 kids wish in the sims 3, I can't imagine what a nightmare it is in 2 when this is three kids LOL my sim ended having 7 boys and 3 girls :)

I always found the Family aspiration to be the true wholesome Romance aspiration, with a crazy amount of broody thrown in. The Romance aspiration in game is more like a promiscuous aspiration, and I used to get wants to Woohoo multiple times in public. I hope you do a playthrough with that aspiration at some point, if you haven't already.
As someone who almost always plays with Family sims, this is an extremely average Family sim household. Everyone’s passing out, everyone is crying; all par for the course 😂
the Chemistry between sims in Sims 2 is far more complicated than just their likes and dislikes. It calculates from the compatibility of their personality and aspirations (I'm not sure if interests also count). Likes and dislikes are more like small modifiers.
I still love playing the Sims 2, and I love having some babies, but the family aspiration is a spiraling hell hole to me! WHY ...!? is your lifetime wish to raise 15 kittens & puppies? The game made me realise my own personality traits because with family, pleasure, popularity & and romance, their wants usually stress me out. This is why I stick to the Knowledge & Fortune aspirations & sometimes family. 😂😅
Why do people always assume that the houses in Sims 2 come furnished? 😂 I see this all the time, but houses have never come furnished in ANY of the Sims games! Or in real life, for that matter… it’s such an odd thing to assume! 😅
I’ve been playing so much 2 and 3 that the lines between them have become blurred 😂 houses in 3 can be bought furnished and I’ve obviously mixed them up again!

I have an elderly woman adopting kids, I think she has 5 now, only break she gets is when she’s at work, house is clean, kids grow up well, and most of the toddlers learnt all their toddler skills. And she’s alone with faster mood decay cos she’s elderly, and no time off work cos she’s got a part time elder job.

Him being fortune isn't actually a bad thing chemistry wise, as Fortune-Damily has a +17.5 for chemistry. The only combos to have a +35 are Romance-Pleasure and Family-Knowledge (same aspiration is always +35 except Grilled Cheese). Aside from chemistry, there is also aspiration benefits for fortune sims that makes making money easier. Also pulling up to an owned business without having played the owner family to get it a little set up first be giving me anxiety. But not like the fact he literally just accidentally named it 1 somehow and did nothing about it. Like imagine beint named a number for your whole life, not even spelt out just one character, Arabic numeral. Just doesn't sit right with me ngl.
