Testing a late 80's early 90's Japanese made Ibanez RG570. This has Dimarzio pickups and has been made to look like a Paul Gilbert model. Plugged into an ENGL Fireball 25 on low power.
I got my rg570 at a guitar center new years sale in 2001. I think the color is called green apple. Her name is Julie, and I love her very very much. I should never have changed out the V7 and V8 pickups for Zakk Wylde’s active emg pickups. I was young and dumb. The original pickups are just fine. I’m gonna reinstall them, one day. The only conceivable things that could make this guitar better is for it to be neck-thru, and for the volume knob to be just a little further away from I strum.
The volume knob being too close to the bridge humbucker is a problem I have with most guitars like this. Even on my own Kramer I end up turning the volume down with my hand hitting it.
