Did you know that it is actually frowned upon to leave your car unattended while pumping gas? Places I've worked at would stop your gas pump until you got back out to your car so you could watch it filling up. To make sure that the hose didn't pop out of your car and spill gas everywhere. That is one reason a lot of gas stations still have employees pumping your gas for you.
Even though things may not have gone to plan, it was still an entertaining video! Most of us watch your videos for your personality so just keep being yourself!
Cool rig, be careful cooking in trunk, A nice little cook set-up away from vehicle to avoid it catching fire and leaving you stranded while off-grid. Safe travels!
I remember I boogered kateri up there. I used to live in that lil town of chiloquin. that's the homelands of the klamath people and crater lake is one of our sacred sites.
We took a trip out west years ago and saw 12 national parks including Yosemite Sequoia Kings canyon Crater Lake all the parks in Utah the Grand canyon etc. Anyway out of the mall to me Crater Lake was the most stunning unforgettable. That water is so royal blue with diamonds all over the top and I just fell in love! ❤️💯‼️
Maria out in this world with a plan based on a dream, she has a wonderful dog, great sense if humor .and is doing all this solo..that takes courage & gumption. And in this crazy ass world she prolly kind of trusts most viewers are not bid creeps..choices and freedom..I like want you do a d who you are..not that others opinions matter. Soooo thank M Blue n Ru..
I don't know exactly how you lost your campsite. However, what I do is pitch the cheapest Walmart tent when I leave my campsite. That way nobody can take it while I'm out running around. 👍
You should give Map quest a try when others fail. Also missy.. driving your Ru in 4th gear because it sticks in 5th is robbing your fuel economy and will do harm to the transmission. Its easier to fix that issue then to keep forcing RU's transmission to work harder. I know just throwing my 2 cents out there.
Ugh, Southern Oregon in Aug… 😝 Actually anywhere you go in Oregon and Washington in Aug is usually going to be hot. I hate the heat but I live in the NW so… what can ya do? Oh don’t get me started on Google maps!! Google Maps have gotten people stuck on logging roads in deep snow in Oregon a few times. If google ever tells you to take a road in the winter that makes you go “whaaat?” DON’T TAKE IT!!
I drove truck for years always have an atlas with you when you travel. I'm just getting started with camping adventures. Who knows maybe one day we'll run into each other in our travels!! I really enjoy your channel, happy trails!!!
I’m so happy you got to see the stunningly beautiful Crater Lake on a beautiful clear day! I’ve been there 4 times in the last 5 years, and 3 of those times it was so smokey from wildfires you could barely see the lake! “In this economy!?!?” Haha
Omg I detest Google maps! I cant tell you how many times it let me waaayyy off course! I feel your frustration especially in this day and time! Mayb you should pre download the maps while you are online and have service cuz I bet when your phone hits a no service zone it screws up the map.
I'm writing in like 3 Rd or forth person weird ha. Thank you for all that effort in drone footage. Time consuming...I know..you are awesome..not matter how a day unfolds you smile. That's big woman 🎶😃
LOL There are these things on paper called maps. Once they are printed they never change, although eventually some roads may grow up with alder saplings. I live on the opposite side of the Continental divide from Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. Two years ago Google Maps sent a continual stream of lost Kansans out on a dead end gravel road in our valley in search of the Park entry (100 miles. a 9,000 foot mountain pass, and 2.5 hours away). With those magic toys, always trust but verify!
Boo 😓 you totally have me planning to get out and get on the road ive wanted to for so long. You finally lit a fire under me. Ive been binge watching you for days lol safe travels for you and blue
11:50 "In this economy?!" 🤣🤣🤣 Every now and then I'll forget to switch Google Maps from biking directions to driving directions, and I'll get some funky route with a ridic ETA. Waze is my backup when Google gets lost.
look when it comes to GPS don't just hit the button and go. one look over the rout so you have an idea where you should be going. two have a back up. three check your settings. make sure things are set the way you like.
Google maps did the same thing to me while I was in Oregon, this last summer. Fortunately I knew where I was at he time, and that Google was full of it.
I’ve noticed that since the pandemic started, Google maps has been garbage and I actually started using Apple Maps again since I swore off of it years ago. Imagine going down a straight road and Google maps tells you to turn right to go up a block, left to go down a block, and then left to go over a block, just to KEEP GOING DOWN THE SAME STRAIGHT ROAD! Long story short (too late, I know) I understand the anger and I am now a full time Apple Maps supporter which I never thought I’d see the day lol
I HATE GOOGLE MAPS!!! My son had programmed it so I could make it to the interstate, but it had me turn on a dirt road, that was barely a single lane, had wash outs, HUGE RUTS, and then soft powder sand. I had to do more than a 3 point turn to make a u-turn with my minivan to turn around and get back to asphalt. I pulled out my trusty old Trucking Map (Rand McNally Atlas) and found my way to the Interstate!! And by the way, that dirt trail led to a ranch, private property! Never ever trust Google Maps! Your camp site is beautiful!
Crater Lake is such a beautiful area. How are things progressing on replacing Ru? I just watched Maria Alice's latest episode and she is going to sell her van, you might want to check that out. Safe journeys.
Google maps sent me down a steep hill in the middle of nowhere on a road trip when it was icy and raining. I thought I would sight see but it was scary.
As a travel nurse, me and google maps have been fighting for years. Once it took me off the interstate onto a deserted highway 2 hours out of my way!!!! I was furious
@@roamingreckless you look young (early 20s). Age is not a big deal, as long as you are old enough to have a driver's license. The reason why I mentioned age was because you had a vibrant and energetic personality, and that could keep you on the road forever. I work a lot and never go anywhere anymore, so I'm considering buying a campervan and spend weekends on the road.
I'm horrible at guessing age. Of course the 12 was an exaggeration, on my part, but it fit the sequence of 2. Regardless of Maria's age, I 'm rooting for her, and that she accomplishes everything that she is committed to accomplish. Thank you for your reply and great sense of humor, with this caveman (me).
The reason why it does that is because you're in and out of service and it's not strong, so it gets confused. It is a computer after all that has happened to me. I was up in the woods trying to find away home. And it took me to a road that was not there because the service was in and out, it was confused. That's why it does that
Really nice dog. and glad you are seeing so much of the beautiful outdoors. I will be short on the comments because, honestly, I found this pretty annoying. 2 things, however. Expecting Google Maps to be your guide is not even remotely reasonable in backwoods areas. there are things called - advanced planning for road conditions and an actual old school paper map as back-up. Second- you used about as much plastic for groceries in this single video as I use in a month. i am sorry- that is indeed, a little judgmental but trying to keep it real. I live in the Pacific Northwest, love these places exactly because they have ample availability of foods packaged more sustainably or in bulk and I cannot tell you how many times I (and surely others) have had to draw maps for drivers who use GPS and apps like google maps and then blame the app for lack of planning. But hopefully you enjoyed the beauty and learned some good life lessons and most of all, i hope you continue to live this life of exploration. Not many people are that adventurous. Best to you.
you should always carry a US paper map(book) for when wifi gps or satellite are not available , that`s why you can get lost for hrs trying to find yourself !

You need to carry a map for situations like this
That pinch in with the beat in the intro was perfect!

Ayyyyy love the frequent vlogs 🔥😍
When plans go awry, hotdogs for dinner saves the day
A good plan is a flexible plan.
Next time you are in the PNW you should visit Hood River OR and go to Lost Lake area
I get a bit jealous when you say 4,51 per gallon while it’s 2,26 or something per liter over here. 😩. It’s so pretty there! Nice video ❤
Really enjoy your videos & your doggie is the best.
They hate me, cause they ain’t me 😂😂 made me crack up
😂😂😂😂😂😂
I always think of getting lost as seeing things I wouldn't otherwise see. 🙂
I live a couple of hrs from there

May I suggest a Garmin GPS. I've always had good luck with that and use my phone as a backup.
be safe and carefull when truck camping ty 🤗...
What a beautiful lake, thanks for the ride along, and yes google maps does the wrong or changes directions all the time to many people,

My sister would totally agree with you on the Google maps. She has been sent on the 2 hour detour before. The lake is beautiful.
I’m headed to crater lake Oregon this summer. Can someone tell me where I can dispersed camp near there? Thanks

Hey Blue
You need a plan B. A good old fashioned, up-to-date atlas.
I've had issues with Google maps this week myself. I always keep a backup paper map. Preferably a Rand McNally.
I’ve noticed that since the pandemic started, Google maps has been garbage and I actually started using Apple Maps again since I swore off of it years ago.

this happens to me with google maps when I lose cell service
Hola 👋 amiga . María have you ever been to Puerto Rico if not it wasn't you I saw.😉😁
Well "Roaming Reckless" is a true definition of a 2hr. detour... Lol
Use Waze Maps. I’ve ran into the same issue. I understand the frustration.
Hey beautiful friend I know it was along crazy day for you and blue I wish a better day next video🙂
Get a paper atlas and double check your route !
Try waze

Darn ur so cute!! (and Blue Too!) I don't care where you go...I wanna follow.
Google maps sent me down a steep hill in the middle of nowhere on a road trip when it was icy and raining. I thought I would sight see but it was scary.

um, use the paper map they handed you
Sometimes it’s like that! Still loved the vlog!
i had my dad ordered the st St. Nickerdoodle from north pole Maria and hi bule
I'm going to order too..she made it look so good. Was it?
Maria, I wonder how old you are. I can't tell if you are 12, 22, or 32. I enjoy watching your videos. Stay safe, stay healthy, stay happy
I am definitely not 32 lol

Me!

Is this your new car
Paper maps as back up to verify.
Googles done that to me as well 🙄
Bada bing bada boom.
That intro looks familiar. 🤔🤔

👍👍❤️
You cannot depend on Google map. Go to Apple maps. I've heard a lot of people not liking Google maps.
Ai caramba. 😂😂😂! Do you speak português? 😂😂
Re-routing with google map is sooo freaking annoying!!!
I feel your pain. Google maps is worthless..................
1st 🤔
Almost!

Nervous breakdowns are not something to laugh about!!

What a beautiful lady you are
Use Apple Maps so much better
Google maps is trash
How are your teeth so white and you drink coffee everyday

Gaslit by Google. Blue and the film crew on edge today.
