- It is not easy to be creative.
Maybe some creative lighting tips that I prepared for you guys today might be helpful.
Today I am sharing four cinematic/creative lighting techniques I have learned in my career and through local cinematographers in Toronto that could be used in low-budget music video shoots.
If you are preparing for a creative project or a music video that needs a unique lighting technique, hopefully, this will help!
By the way, the idea of using a broken frame is from Mark Bone's video idea for his music video.
He has amazing content on his feed. Check his Channel: / @markbone
Love this video Danny! A small fog machine is definitely on my wish list haha!
Great content Danny! Loved the idea of the broken frame. Very creative . Another way of creating interesting lighting is with the use of mirror and reflecting the light source in the mirror onto whatever it is you are filming. Looks great with RGB Lighting
Oh man I gotta try that next time. Thanks for the tips!
Nice video, mate! solid tips here

These tips are amazing!! 🤩
Will definitely try these and experiment how these will look, when an amateur like me tries it 😁
Btw, how the hell were you able to shoot and edit this video starting from 04:55AM?! 😳
Mind blowing dedication 🔥🤯🔥
Haha too kind, too kind. Would love to see what you do with it! Tag me or DM me if you ever shoot something! 😁👍🏻
@@SeeDoubleYou I will keep this in mind - thanks for the offer 🙏🙂
Rest well and enjoy the rest of your weekend 👍😉
How on earth could you start filming at 4:55 AM??
I am going to bed now 😭😵
I really enjoyed that. Hope you got some sleep.
lol music too wants to go to sleep. was that intentional? amazing match!! ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
It was randomly matching with the cut timing I had! I was surprised too haha
I totally relate to 4 am
👌🏼
Goood shit
What kind of lens do you use in this kind of low light and f stop?
I used sigma 18-35 f1.8 lens!
@@SeeDoubleYouOk that’s what I figured because I tried emulating the vibe in your video with me singing and playing guitar but I couldn’t get any detail on my face because I was using a F4 kit lens. I just ordered a lens with a 1.8 f stop. I’m looking forward to seeing the difference.
Thank you and thank you for this awesome idea for a music video.
@@michaelbattista1334 yeah no worries. I kind of stopped making videos here, but I still share a lot of my work and bts on set on my IG @dannyohcw. Feel free to follow and see how things are done on set!
Good job with another solid video! Get some sleep. You are not young anymore :)
Thank you !
I am starting to realize that more.
I gotta work out man LOL
