I had THE SAME thing with the names when I was in Morocco - "Nina Simone" "Nicki Minaj" "Obama's sisters" "Lady Gaga". I visited Dubai in 2016 and when shopping in old Dubai I didn't experience the names. It is very disrespectful.
And with Dubai you can either spend a lot of money doing the tourist things like going to the Atlantis for brunch or see if they have a brunch deal in your hotel - which my cousin and I found out. It really depends on your budget. Like paying to going inside the Burj or seeing the water show at Burj in the evening at the mall for free etc. watching this video makes me want to plan another trip there.
