I would have to agree this flashlight is really an everything light hit all the marks I would be looking for. Now to convince the misses I have to have this lol 🤣
Yea Grey, the Marauder Mini is a great light. I got one when they first came out a few years ago. Even though I got it on sale, it is expensive. However, the thing just erupts light.
I like that light too Grey. Great review and very well explained. Still waiting on the count of flashlights you and Rudy each have. Even an estimated guess know you both have them packed everywhere 😂😂 God Bless keep the reviews coming 🙏❤️🙏
Would love to have this on the homestead, me and the hubby saw many uses this would come in handy. hopefully the sale price is something we can do, We appreciate ya Grey. God bless you and the family. 🙏
Yeah lights of this magnitude definitely come with a price tag, I do have something I'm working on that's a pretty powerful light but much more affordable.
Learned something new again thank you great review it’s so appreciated but ouch that’s expensive and yes you get what you pay for if you have the money I’d get it
Well that make sit simple, its on the list lol Nice and bright. We use the red lights during our camping trips all the time. We usually wear headlamps and all but I like that you can adjust the brightness of each hue very cool indeed.
Thank you GreyMan ❤️✝️, I agree that light has endless possibilities. I would use something like that at home and when on the highway. Where i live i often cross 4 counties on rural highway w no phone signal so it would be good to have if the car is broken down.. thanks for another edition of Grey's Gadgets! 😊
Thanks for your post! I was eyeing this for a while but your drone shots are what made me pull the trigger on the Marauder Mini. Showing how much real estate it covers from the drone shots were awesome. Great flashlight and was able to get it on sale. Worth the money. I've had it for several months and it is my go to flashlight. I also own the Seeker 4 Pro and the Warrior 3S.
Thank you! I want to keep using drones to get that overview of the beam distance and flood patterns. I don't see too many others using this method, and I really think it's a great perspective. I love mine as well, and it's definitely one of my main lights as well because it's so versatile. I truly appreciate you leaving your feedback. Have a great weekend! 😁🤘
I have never seen any of your videos before but I appreciate how you show the performance and all of the modes right away. I have always been curious what one of these would look like being pointed at you from a distance and you showcased that perfectly. The drone shots and everything was awesome. You don’t see that in other reviews. Thanks for all the info
You sold me on the Javelot a few weeks back. I had an Arkfield(?), I think they're called but wanted something more bright, but small. Love that one. I might check this one out. Would like to see the bigger version though. (That's what she said)
Olight is a new thing to me I just joined there page 2 days ago I never realized the difference in 🔦 flashlights I have always had el cheapo types or a mag light had no idea how far these have come mind blown thanks Grey!
After recording the night shots, we went into the woods to check the trail cam as it was having some issues, and man, it lit the woods up! From night to day, lol 😆👍
Thank GreyMan Prepping for this DETAILED & INFORMATIVE video. The section that is the most useful to me is where you talk about why blue, green and red lights are used. Before this I did not know that blue light is used as FOG light. Green light is used for reading maps at night and attracting wildlife for hunting. There are 2 things that puzzle me is you do not mention its disadvantages and if you got this light for free. In reality, nothing is perfect.
Hmm, I guess the propriety batteries and maybe the size of the grip for certain people and it doesn't fit in a standard pocket. Last may be the weight of the product for some folks.
Great review. I'm thinking about getting one to keep in the car. I rarely drive at night, but you never know ... or maybe it would be more useful to keep it in my purse. Decisions, decisions ... what's a girl to do 🤔 ?
The link doesn't go the the Marauder Mini (page can not be found), but if you type it in, you'll find it. Found the answer to my question that I was going to ask about charging time ... fully charged in 5 hours.
Thanks for bringing that to my attention, I had a feeling about that, hence why I added the 2nd link. I bought 4 batteries during this sale because 2 or more you got 40% off. I figured I could keep multiple batteries charged. I found an external battery charger that I can alao use for the batteries. This is why I like this version due to having the option to switch batteries. Again thank you for letting me know about the link. 😁👍
How's the ruggedness? I have always steered clear of Olight mainly because of the price. I purchased one a few days ago on sale for $106.00 after seeing them from $199.99 up. When you pay over $100.00 for a flashlight the question isn't so much the brightness of the light for me because the number of videos shows it does really well. What I do not hear from those showing off the Olight product is how durable it is. I ran into an issue with an Acebeam product a few years back and the whole ordeal left a sour note in buying overpriced flashlights that are poorly constructed. I've found cheaper flashlights like Wurkkos that are heavy constructed especially if you drop the light on hard surfaces. There used to be a flashlight channel that put flashlights through rugged tests like Thrunite products and haven't seen his channel around anymore. But because he did those tests it motivated flashlight companies like Thrunite to build better quality lights.
@mrgreen2769 I've been running Olights prior to having a channel and beat the crap of them. Dropped my arkfekd in the water during fishing more so that I'd like to say 😆 I personally haven't had any issues with any of my lights. I watched a video a few years ago, which was an Olight facility, and it showed the testing from hot and cold, drop tests, water, dirt and various other tests like pushing the buttons 10,000 times, lumen tests, and so on. I have Wurkkos, Nitcore, and several other brands as well. Some are really awesome as well. The Marauder Mini, once you feel the build quality in your hand, it sells itself.
It is not, I found an article that may give more context to the difference between blue & UV light. "Blue light, or high-energy visible (HEV) light, has a longer wavelength than UV light, at around 450 to 490 nanometers. The sun emits blue light alongside UV rays. However, blue light penetrates deeper into the ocean than UV light. Hopefully, that helps distinguish the two. They are similar but different at the same time.

The camera never does any justice to how bright these lights are.
