I think the single note melody line in the intro is actually almost an arpeggio of the same chord you're doing with the right hand, but you're moving it up a few octaves higher, and the 2nd time you're substituting the g for f at the end of the line. The notes would be descending down: g eb c ab g then: g eb c ab f I've been playing it in the band I'm in for a while now, and that's what I play, and it fits perfectly.

The descending arpeggiated bell melody in the intro sounds different to me. I think it starts on the high g note, of the fm⁹ chord, and goes down the notes of the chord
