They are kinda unreliable and expensive/ difficult to repair. Audi/VW 4cyl engines are garbage and have all sorts of oil consumption, piston ring and timing chain issues, Mercedes V6 is really unreliable if not taken care of and bmws are just very temperamental, One sensor goes bad your whole car bugs out. Yes they are everywhere but that doesn't necessarily mean they are better than the next

Lmao I’ve owned a Volkswagen Golf and Jetta for YEARS. They have been the most reliable cars I’ve ever owned. Meanwhile my brothers Altima has had an engine swapped, ECU had to be recalibrated, and axle boots changed. Talking from experience, not pride.
