Well, To be completely honest I watched this video out of curiosity, and also to support your channel. But I did not think I was going to like this technique or the end result. So consider my mind officially blown🤯…. It turned out amazing!!!!! it really looks like wood😮 and maybe white washed wood/paint washed wood. I just think this was the first time you ever used these products. So great job going outside your comfort zone and trying something completely brand new.
you cannot change the past but you can change the future . it's NEVER a late start, it's just a start and that could be today . it's only yourself that's holding your back, believe in yourself because the perfect time is now .
After you used the wood grain tool, I was like this is a hot mess! 😂 The next step had me seeing your vision. Phew! Good job & thanks for bringing something new to the table!
Always good. Not everyone can do what you do. Trust me. People with their best intentions. It's definitely an art form. When to stop, color combos. Even hardware choices. There's an artist inside you that creates some really beautiful projects. Good job, Lauren.
They look great! I thought it looked totally fake until the final stain went on the pieces. Wow! That really tied it all together. It looks like real wood. You did an awesome job!
I love Retique it…I got the nerve to buy it finally a couple months ago. I didn’t have a good experience years ago with the graining tool, and I was skeptical that I could get it right. I was so wrong. You do have to practice, but there are videos to instruct. This has opened a whole new area for me…laminate is much cheaper to buy to flip. And my customers are crazy over it. I haven’t had any problems selling anything. Lauren you are very brave to start out with a round table lol I just stick with flat surfaces! Great job…they look beautiful
I love these, plain and simple, no embellishments. My dad used this technique 60 years ago on their kitchen cabinets and I remember watching in awe as a kid. You did an amazing job as usual. 😊
The process was amazing to see and I was skeptical as to how they would turn out. They are beautiful! Great job Lauren! Your creativity is wonderful! Congrats on the new store!
These look amazing! Great job. I used Retique It on my 70 year old laminate countertops and everyone thinks it is butcher block! An amazing product and easy enough for a beginner to use (I am beyond an amateur). Takes way more skill to do something round!!! Impressive.
I can’t believe how beautiful these turned out, even as I watched the process, I was overwhelmed by the instant magic that this product produced, I imagined that you were almost feeling the same way , super great job 👏 👏👏
They look great. Spot on dupe! I used Retique It on my kitchen counters to mimic butcher block. Turned out great. It is definitely a trust the process product. But all turned out well and Iove them.
I’m surprised to say that “I really do like them”! You do such good work. I wish you were closer. I just ordered an upholstery cleaner because you’ve inspired me. I’ve always redone furniture just because I liked nice things but never had the money so I’ve been shopping garage sales before it was “the thing” to do. Love your channel
I ordered the kit a couple months ago! I haven’t used it yet because I’ve been so sick but I’m definitely gonna whip it out now. These look pretty cool! I kept feeling like you were making a giant cake. 😂😂
You did an excellent redo on them especially considering it was your first time with the product. Am wondering if using a toothbrush to clean the wood grain stamps (?) would get better results than paper towels. Loved the flying box of towels. Hilarious.
I was not sure about this product. But when you applied the topcoat I am stunned at how much it resembles real wood! It looks amazing! Thank you for sharing this new way to do furniture! Excited to see more videos on your new store! I hope you have a smooth transition with the store. B~}
I’m a huge wood grain/faux bois’ fan and artist. I find it’s good to keep the paint/glaze wet in small areas, not the whole top or circle. Then slide and rock the tool, gives more variation and knots along the grain. Great efforts and like that new paint!
Lauren, I had serious doubts about the outcome of those tables as the original laminate on them was horrible. I am absolutely stunned by the outcome, well done!
Thanks for the introduction of a new product. Ur project turned out better than I would have expected. Congrats to you for figuring it out. Great LQQK.
I have used this previously on a end table that was in terrible shape in my home. It worked out well with the graining tool. Looks just like wood. Love this product. I am only updating my older finishes to update my decor at home.
WOW! shout from Sydney Australia. You did a fantastic job! If I was doing it, I'm sure the pieces would end up with no the laminate, not on purpose but because I'd be "oh just a little bit more to even it up, a bit more, a bit more. Oops oh damn its totally naked" lol
Looking forward to seeing the work on the storefront. This turned out way better than I thought possible. I would love to see you do it on something bigger. Or more elaborate. Keep on smiling, Lauren. You are on your way to the top.
Awesome job Lauren!! They look amazing!! Something you'd buy in a high end store for sure. They'll look great in the new store!! Can't wait to see how that all turns out!
Wow! I had my doubts at first. I didn't think it would look good. But you did a great job and pulled it off for sure. I had never heard of this product before.
Wow, I just picked up a cardboard roll from roadside. If you stack those two, they would be the height of my roll. The tube is the same size and was from a building fabrication site. Now I'm inspired and also more annoyed that I could only fit one in my hatchback(just!).
I’m seriously impressed how these tables turned out! This style of painting kitchen cabinets was very popular in the 80’s, but it never looked as good as you have done! 😊
I truly enjoyed watching this process. What an interesting product, on really interesting pieces. They turned out beautifully. You should be so proud!!!😊
Wow. I really wasn’t sure if this would work. Or if it would look like real wood. I’m amazed. That is unreal. And I want to try it just to feel the wood fibers. lol. Enjoyed the video !!!
Have to say that the finished product looks like veneer. It is an interesting technique and really finishes off really well. Cannot wait to see what else you do with this technique
Once you start, you just can’t stop… I’d have stripped the lot and repented at leisure. I admire your self control! I do love your channel - soo inspiring!
Well, I had my doubts when you were using that wood graining tool. They were looking pretty rough. And to start using a new product like that on round tables took a lot of courage. It turned out awesome! Better than I could’ve imagined.
Yep, like a bunch of other commenters here, I also wasn't sure how it would turn out and if I'd like it, but you totally changed my mind when you applied that last coat of gel stain before the sealer. What a fantastic outcome! Great job!

thanks!! appreciate your support! I loved it too and had to trust the process!!
Yes same here you took the words right out of my mouth. I was like let me finish the video and see the out come and they came out nice
I love the final result. They look totally different, a very modern look. I'd love to see you do a dresser or coffee table.😊❤

Spray lacquer thinner from a spray bottle under the laminate as you pull it up. Comes off much easier😉
I love the end result. You did a great job for your first time with this new product. I had my doubts at first but you nailed it. Great Job

They look great. Spot on dupe! I used Retique It on my kitchen counters to mimic butcher block. Turned out great. It is definitely a trust the process product. But all turned out well and Iove them.

Loved taking the journey with you...loved it so much, I replayed for my hubby!!
So excited for you and Neman and the new store!!!
You did a great job, Lauren! I love how they turned out. 😃

Lifting those takes the place of exercise :) Bondo is amazing. What a fascinating wood primer and gel coat product. Lovely!
Just wow 😮 absolutely beautiful and I’m blown away with how good they look 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I ordered the kit a couple months ago! I haven’t used it yet because I’ve been so sick but I’m definitely gonna whip it out now.
These look pretty cool!
I kept feeling like you were making a giant cake. 😂😂
I like them better than what they were before you DIY's them. They are gorgeous. Good job!!
I'm excited for this one. I hate working with laminate.
All I can say is WOW! Cannot believe those are fake wood!
Awesome job, Lauren! These tables turned out beautifully.
We were all right there with you trusting the process😂 and boy was it worth it!!!! Beautiful.🖤
Kudos to you. I for sure thought you made a huge mistake buying laminate tables. What an amazing transformation!
They turned out gorgeous great for a big modern place, home, office/ business setting. Love them, job well done👏🏼👏🏼
WOW, there was a moment there, halfway through, when I began to worry, but boy did you pull this off beautifully. Bravo!
Thank you very much! I was a bit worried to but so glad i stuck it out and kept going! 😍
LOL the magic box!! Thax Niemann. The pieces looks Nice!
You did an excellent redo on them especially considering it was your first time with the product. Am wondering if using a toothbrush to clean the wood grain stamps (?) would get better results than paper towels. Loved the flying box of towels. Hilarious.
Just a little tip when applying glue in difficult spaces (lol under veneer or in cracks) … use a syringe 💉 😄
Thanks for great content as always 💖💕
I didn't think they would turn out but they really turned out great. Good job.
This is one of my most favorite flips. Love the color. Great job. Pcoff
Great job. Love that you will try something new on camera, it gives your videos a very authentic feel.

I have used this previously on a end table that was in terrible shape in my home. It worked out well with the graining tool. Looks just like wood. Love this product. I am only updating my older finishes to update my decor at home.

Your tables came out….Beautiful ! I’m going to try doing this on a small side table I have .
WOW! shout from Sydney Australia. You did a fantastic job! If I was doing it, I'm sure the pieces would end up with no the laminate, not on purpose but because I'd be "oh just a little bit more to even it up, a bit more, a bit more. Oops oh damn its totally naked" lol
To be honest I didn’t think I would like them, but Wow! You are so talented. Great job!

This style of painting kitchen cabinets was very popular in the 80’s, but it never looked as good as you have done! 😊

thanks! I am tempted to keep them at my house too 🤣🤣
Hi, you did great! They look real.
They look gorgeous! Your inspiration photo was pretty , yours' even better.
Awesome job BUT something I would never have in my house even for free! No press board fake wood aloud! But love your work! keep with real wood.
Wow. I really wasn’t sure if this would work. Or if it would look like real wood. I’m amazed. That is unreal. And I want to try it just to feel the wood fibers. lol. Enjoyed the video !!!

Well, I had my doubts when you were using that wood graining tool. They were looking pretty rough. And to start using a new product like that on round tables took a lot of courage. It turned out awesome! Better than I could’ve imagined.
