They didn't break character, but when my daughter was small she loved Pluto. No, scrub that - she ADORED Pluto. We paid to go to a character breakfast (this was at Disneyland Paris, a good 20+ years ago). Pluto wasn't there, but as we were leaving, we were about to go down some stairs when Pluto appeared on a landing halfway up. My daughter ran down to meet him, and he must have seen something in her face, because he just dropped to his knees, opened his arms and hugged her for the longest time. I don't know who was in that costume, but, sir or madam, I salute you - you absolutely made my daughter's year.
@tinylilmatt Oh, wow! Well, if it was you - and it could well have been - from the bottom of my heart, thankyou. You made my little girl so very happy. The photo I have of it is one of my favourites, even though you can't see her face, it's buried in Pluto's neck. Thankyou so much for answering!
My niece caused Ariel to break character. She also caused the entire room to break character. In her excitement she reached up, fascinated by the clam shells, and tapped. She yelled out for me and announced they were real. Real clam shells (uh okay kid). She was three. I was mortified. I guess my niece's wide-eyed wonder at "oh my god it's all real" had charmed everyone because Ariel burst into giggles and snuggled the little snot. The handler and photopass photographer were doubled over. I yelled out for her to apologize and she realized exactly where she was touching...a no-no spot. So she apologizes very nicely and Ariel accepts her apology while still giggling and treats my niece like an absolute princess. She's still obsessed with Ariel to this day because of that. I hope I never forget it.
I guess it’s more innocent since a toddler did it. But regardless if a kid older than five did it she would’ve been more uncomfortable. I’m glad she was able to pull it off for your niece though!
When i was younger, I went to Disney and first got an autograph from Peter Pan. when we went to get an autograph from Captain Hook, he refused (Part of his character for that park i guess) and after me and my sister jokingly said that "we guess Peter Pan was better for signing our books." Hearing this Captain Hook grabbed our books from our hands Scribbled out Peter Pan's signature and autographed his with images of jewels and coins surrounding it. Probably the best Captain Hook I've heard of to this point
When I was between the ages of 2 to 3, my parents took my older sister and I to Disneyland. I was in a stroller and very distraught because I wanted to see Goofy. I cried Oofy! Oofy! Oofy! But I guess my parents were too busy taking in the whole park experience. Well, Winnie the Pooh heard my cries for goofy, came over to my parents and took me in my stroller and wheeled me over to goofy so I could see him. My parents just watched as Winnie the Pooh stole me and ran away with me to see my favorite character LOL
Cruella at Disneyland is THE BEST! I was in the front Mickey flower garden area. Ariel / Little Mermaid was doing photo ops. Cruella walks by her and says, "Does anyone else smell low tide?" ROFL!!
The leader of the Lost Boys, telling her he was sorry for her own lost boy? Yes, that would have to feel wonderful. And you could almost argue that he was still staying in character by doing that.
I was 9, or 10, and I didn’t say “please sign in my autograph book”, I was super shy, and introverted, and kind of just slayed were I was and showed him the book and the pen and said “my autograph book can you sign it” like in a whisper or somthing, and tigger THREW MY PEN AND BOOK ON THE GROUND
I'm a 22 year old woman with dwarfism, last year I went and met Gaston. I decided since I definitely was going to be thought of as a child I would throw him off immediately. I asked Gaston if he prefers hunting with a bow or Muzzleloader. He was on it, he said "If I'm hunting a. bear I'll use a muzzleloader, but any other animal, I prefer a bow" He also immediately knew I was Disneybounding as Belle. Great character!
When you Disneybound it's when you wear the colors and symbols of a specific character since people over the age of 14 cannot dress in costume, I was wearing a yellow dress, a rose necklace, a denim jacket with an Enchanted Rose Pin.
My favorite Disney character story was one I read years ago about this amazing Peter Pan player at Disney Land. Basically this lady, who used a motorized chair, came with her assistant. She'd let her assistant go off to enjoy herself. So she was alone when the chair decided to die on her(can't remember the reason), and in a perfect storm, her cell phone to call her assistant also died. This Peter Pan spotted her, and came over, and helped her while staying in character(though he leaned down once or twice close to her ear to ask if she needed help/was okay), and getting other park guests to help move her into some shade, and use their phone to call her assistant. The first time I read about it, it brought tears to my eyes. Cause it was so amazing.
I have the utmost respect for the people who work in Disney parks. Some do it because they have to, but others do it because they genuinely like making people happy. I remember going and seeing this park safety officer getting autographs from all of the little girls that dressed up as princesses.
In March of 1986 my high school choir went to Japan and China for 22 days. We performed in 9 cities. One of our performances was on the Small World Stage at Tokyo Disney Land. The only time I ever saw a Disney character ever break character was after our performance. I and 2 of my fellow students were exiting the stage when we fell and I cut my head and lost consciousness. I woke up being carried to the clinic at the park by Mickey and Goofy. They had seen the injury to my head and decided that I could not wait for the medical team to get there from the other side of the park. We later found out that they were disciplined but that they were later told that they were no longer in trouble as my injuries were serious enough that I went to the hospital. They later came to the hospital and I was given a t-shirt that is only given to people who perform on the Small World Stage. I still have it almost 35 years later.
@@JenLyn78 Once the executives at the park realized the seriousness of the injuries they recinded the discipline and they were rewarded for their actions. They violated Disney policy by stepping out of their role. In Japan what they did is a major departure from the rules. I think the reason the discipline was recinded was that they were praised for their initiative by not only our choir but there was also a letter of thanks written by U.S. Senator Ted Stevens. Even though they stepped out of character they did so in full costume.
@@jaycooper2812 wow!! That's a scary yet amazing story! I couldn't work there, I'm such a natural "people helper" I'd break character quickly! I'm glad they did and your here to tell your cool story, and have a t-shirt to boot! You should put it in a large frame or shadow box with the whole story written out for your children, grandchildren and or nieces/nephews.
You'd think that Disney actors get paid significantly more than just minimum wage considering all the training, requirements, and competition for the roles
If I got into trouble at work for breaking character because someone was beating me up I would sue because they failed to protect me from being assaulted. If they want me to stay in character they better keep me safe, because if I'm in danger of injury, I'm breaking character.
@@erictaylor5462 or you could learn to read basic English. The union allows them to break character to escape being attacked without being punished for it as it protects them from Disney punishing them.
I had a life guard yell at me once that running wasn't allowed before he realized I wasn't running, I was hopping. How the hell do you not notice that a kid wearing nothing but swim trunks is missing a leg?
I didn't know Captain Hook wasn't supposed to give autographs. I got his in 1998, I'm pretty sure my mom still has my autograph book saved somewhere in the house lol. I remember being upset that my sister got to see Ariel because she happened to be near a ride that my sister wanted to go on but I was too scared, so my dad took me to a different ride instead, where I got to meet Capt Hook and Mr Smee. I'm still bitter about not meeting Ariel over 20 years later lol.
Roadent1241 I think Captain Hook have his hook on his left hand and write on his right hand but my guess is that most of the actor write with their left hand so I think they decided to not give autographs to guests.
I wanted to be a character actor once BUTT me and my mom was waiting in the line for the open interviews in the dead of summer heat, well I think they ended up not doing the interviews for some reason if I remember correctly regardless I would not have made it because I believe o actually started to get heat stroke or something 🤦🏾♀️ soooo if I got heat stroke just waiting in a line I definitely would not have made it in a character outfit 😂😂
I don’t know about cast members not being allowed to take things from guests. My family and I have spent christmas days in disney in florida and we used to make up christmas cards with a chocolate in each of them to give to anyone we saw working. Everyone was really appreciative- lots of them gave us free drinks and snacks and a couple even cried and told us about their families. We did have one problem at bag search (out of the multiple christmas day bag searches we have experienced) the security woman was very suspicious when we offered her the card, but that’s understandable. She had us open the card for her but ultimately accepted it and thanked us, so 🤷♂️
That’s really sweet. Especially since I know many cast members are part of an international programme so many of their family’s are probably half way across the world.
CASSPurr Waspurr Right? At least some of them got to go home to their families after work. But yeah, it was my mum's idea, bless her. It's amazing what such a small thing can mean to people
Dorian They (cast members) can ultimately choose whether to take gifts like that or not. Some of them are thrown out for safety reasons, while some of them are put into break rooms. Either way, you definitely made their days!
They can take little things that were obviously meant for them (cards, trinkets, etc). For items of value they have to refuse three times, then if the guest still insists, they can take it but have to report it to their leaders immediately so it doesn't appear that they stole from a guest or kept a lost item. Leaders will decide whether or not the cast member can keep it or if it'll be donated.
I saw a video once where a family bought a bunch of Christmas gifts and gave them out to cast members who all graciously accepted them. And it's so awesome that you do things like that, especially since a lot of them aren't allowed to spend Christmas with their families as they have to work.
When I was little , my mom and I stayed at the Nickelodeon hotel while it was still operational. I will never forget squidward shooing me away with his hands. My mom and I just looked at each other like “did he just break character or was he actually just being asshole squidward ?”
"People were grabby with Tarzan" "People reached up Pocahontas' skirt" What the hell, people!? I mean i know sexual harassment exists but damn.. how hard is it to keep your hands to yourself 🙄🙄
There’s a video where a 12 year old girl challenges Gaston to an arm wrestling match and actually legit wins. Gaston wasn’t cheating or anything, she just caught him off guard. Gaston was impressed and demanded a rematch. It was actually really cute
The buzz one could have said, instead of saying its straight up fake, “Its just Andy playing with his toys so it’s fake and buzz is fine” I auditioned for a character to play in Paris (auditions took place in Leeds England) and I’m hoping I get hired as a character one day. I wanna be a costume character like Rocket Raccoon or something
Halloween Horror Nights isn't Disney, pretty sure it's Universal Studios or something and the poster got confused. Disney's only Halloween event is Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party
@@LegoMajobeza Yep, it's Universal Studios. They have clowns with chainsaws over by the Simpsons part of the park, at least that's where they were when I was there. (It was in 2015) Really fun if you love horror movies, getting scared, and quite a bit of (fake, obviously) gore.
Sounds like a good idea. Plenty of people from all over the world to follow, many conversations to overhear and a massive crowd you can easily disappear in.
Disney expert here, Tarzan is a special character and only comes out on rare occasions in Animal Kingdom. He 100% shows up during Mickey Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in Magic Kingdom along with some rare characters.
Last summer, I went to WDW and I came back with 2 great stories, both were from Galaxy's Edge. My mom, my brother and I are all huge Star Wars fans. My little brother is autistic, and he was dead set on meeting a stormtrooper in Galaxy's Edge. He runs up to two stormtroopers patrolling around the park, and the stormtroopers say that "he is the spy", take my brother, and say they are going take him to Kylo Ren. All the while my brother is just grinning with joy. While walking towards Kylo Ren's shuttle, Rey runs out in front of the stormtroopers and does a Jedi Mind Trick on them and makes them let my brother go. She then has a conversation with him and they both have a great time talking. She tells him that "you are the first of the next line of Jedi" and sends him off with me and my mom. Best thing I've ever seen from character actors. The 2nd story does not involve me, but while walking through Galaxy's Edge, we saw Kylo Ren asking a little girl (probably 2 or 3) to join the dark side. She was sobbing and it was so cute. There must be something about Galaxy's Edge, it has some of the best character experiences I've ever seen. And I was only there for a day.
I remember this one time when I went to Orlando Florida/Disney world I went to a transformers themed ride where you get to “supposedly” help out the autobots with getting the all spark out of the hands of the decepticons. But before that could happen a few of my family members would comment that they were having second thoughts; the NEST soldiers would harass them and call them weaklings, etc. Not out of character at all but still slightly harsh. The ride was great though and I would definitely recommend it. 10/10
My family went to Chef Mickey's and not only did Mickey recognize my brother's Oswald hat, but I had a llama plushie on me and Goofy grabbed the llama and started riding it like a pony and then gave it back to me.
Tarzan still walks around in Animal Kingdom. Everyone was quite polite with him. I think he was being escorted somewhere by another cast member and my friend group ran into him. Funniest part was when my friend's phone wasn't working and he shouted "Hit it with rock!! That always work!!" Best interaction.
When I was seven, I went to WDW for my birthday. When I got to see tigger, he was bouncing as he was happy to see me. He then accidentally bonked me in the head but it didnt hurt. He rubbed my head like as an apology. I just love to see these characters care for us.
I have a friend who used to be a character actor. She says its par for the course , she was a friend of Donald and occasionally traveled with panchito. You deal with cursing, grabbing, rants, (I hate to say this as I'm Brazilian) foreign guests hitting....etc. She said she was happy as a friend of Donald. She doesn't speak. Her advice, have thick skin, remember copious and tons of water and ice, and pace yourself. If you feel uncomfortable or sick. Let the attendant know. Usually they'll try to help you. You may get the occasional asshole as an attendant or supervisor. Disney is fully of them. Deal with it. One misstep over three strikes and you're fired.
23:59 just want to point out, disney has a few law enforcement characters they can dress security up as that would be brilliant, think Aladdin's soldier's. Just saying.
Are you saying they actually do this or that they maybe should do this? As a security guard myself, while I wouldn't be opposed to having a Turban and a vest with baggy white pants and a Scimatar. It ultimately wouldn't look good when I'd have to drag some fuck stick off. Kinda ruins the Disney magic I'd feel.
Reminds me of the time when I was a huge Jesse fan and I was kindof dressed the same way as her, when I met her I was so happy that I tripped and scraped my knee 😅 According to my mom, the actor didn't break character at all, but instead patched up my knee and gave me a hug. It was nice
Last year the music department at my school took a trip to Disney World, and my friend decided to go and meet characters while the rest of us went on rides. She told me later that she got to take a picture with Winnie the Pooh and Tigger and while they were posing, Tigger mumbled something about how hot he thought she was. But it was just loud enough for her and Pooh to hear, and she heard Pooh trying so hard to keep his composure and not laugh. She also has a video of her and some other friends when they met Gaston and Gaston clearly had his eye on one of our other friends, but that wasn't really out of character lol
I went to Disney World when I was 6, but all I remember is falling on concrete while I was running, and getting stuff from the gift shop. I wish I paid attention to the characters :(
Once me and my sister were in line for Donald duck in Paris last year, and sometimes when they change the person in costume they say something like "Donald just needs to go to the little boys room!" Or "Donald was a little thirsty!" But this time we got to the front and the woman handler instead just blurted "She'll be right back" then realised what she said and quickly said "Donald will be right back in a moment is what I mean, hahahaha" in the most forced awkward laugh I've ever heard.
I saw this video of the Kylo Ren actor hitting on this woman and she was totally vibing with it until the attendant told her to back off. He’s my favorite baddie right now so I hope I can get to Galaxy’s Edge someday. But I get really embarrassed and shy around character actors since I’m 23 and feel a bit out of place.
I remember being in line for a photo op with Donald Duck. Three people ahead of me was this woman who was acting a bit crazy when it was her turn, to the point of wanting to take about a dozen photos with Donald. The assistant kept trying to politely tell her no but she kept insisting on getting more photos. The cast member in the Donald Duck costume started getting afraid of her, to the point of hiding behind a nearby lamppost and shoo-waving her away. I have a feeling Donald got in trouble for that one.
i was a little kid.. 8 or 9.. i ran up and hugged Mickey.. i must have hugged him too hard.. he farted and said "oof".. i felt a grumble.. i stood back and nothing else happened but a pic.. i still have the pic of it and when i see it i burst out laughing.. nobody in the family knows why but i just cant stop seeing my look.. my face says it all if you know the story because im looking at Mickey like wtf..
Chewwy truly is one of the best characters at the parks. He took a selfie on one of our phones, hugged all of us (very fluffyyy) & high fived us after taking the pic 😁💕
I can relate to the horror nights one. My first year at horror nights (universal), there are areas outside of mazes where actors will chase you called scare zones. My friend and I made a particular attachment to an actor who tried to scare us, so after every maze we would go back to say hi. He would wouldn’t break character, but we asked where a maze was and the bathrooms and he would always point and give us a thumbs up or something. Dude totally made my whole night
I remember when I went to DisneyLand and met Cruella DeVille I don't remember WHAT I said to her, but my niece ended up having to lift some 5-pound weights around to get an autograph form Cruella whilst I had to do nothing at all and even got to hug her I LEGIT DON'T REMEMBER WHAT I SAID TO GET ON EHR GOOD SIDE THAT EASILY XD BUT MY NIECE HATES ME FOR IT TO THIS DAY
I was a make a wish kid a few years back due to a condition it was 50/50 I’d survive, (I survived, obviously) and I got personal attention from all the princesses. I had really funky breathing and sometimes I’d wheeze if I got to excited, and once they had to take me into a near deserted store while I took a breathing treatment and one Princess was fine and kept talking to me during it but Jasmine looked on the verge of tears and had to leave. Makes me feel bad now
my family and I went to Disney World last summer, and I started to chat with the worker who was running the Dumbo kids playplace thing at the time. She said that her and the other workers in that specific area switched rides either daily or twice a day, I can't remember. She also said she preferred working the outdoor rides, which surprised me because it was like 97°F that day. She was a college student too, which was sweet. She was very kind, but sadly I cannot remember her name. I hope she did well the next semester of her college year, she was one of the only Disney workers I talked to lol.
13:20 reminds me of the time when I was younger I went to a kind of water park, the slides didn't go into a proper pool, but a small area with water instead, I noticed on one of the slides that the guard was gone, I then took over for them until they came back. I don't know why I did that, but I did. And everyone listened to tiny kid me, who was just copying what the previous guard was doing.
one time when i went to halloween horror nights i made a friend i called "chainsaw noises". his chainsaw didn't work so he just made chainsaw noises with his mouth for example "reeee" or "CHAINSAW NOISE"
back around june or july in 2019, i was at magic kingdom, next in line to meet nick wilde and judy hopps. there was a girl, probably around two, in front of me. keep in mind that im a *huge* nick fan, and was practically wearing all his merchandise all over me lol. i was next, but the girl was still running in front of nick to get to the exit. as nick saw me and came to hug me, he ended up accidentally tripping her. she cried, and he comforted her. judy stood with me as we were watching him comfort the girl. you can tell he genuinely felt bad. she was ok, but even today i still feel kind of bad for her. but i won't lie, that would be pretty in-character if he tripped someone older lol. as for that tail incident..that's 100% in character i know he would do that lmaoo
My family went to Disney in 2014. We were taking pictures with Minnie and my little brother (7 at the time) was hopping around. My sister scolded him saying, "Stop, the pictures are gonna be blurry." Minnie laughed so hard she had to take a minute before she could sign our autograph books
I was walking through Disney land Paris with a group of friends and Captain Hook was walking near us. I mistakenly made eye contact with him and he started running towards me. He is like 7 ft tall and so I’m frozen in shock as he is running towards me. He runs right past me towards my other friend who has no idea what is happening and grabs her and gets her in a headlock. It was an actual headlock, too and she was just shocked lol. His supervisor rushed over and shouted at him and they walked off.
Made one of the zombies at one of the fright night break character when they tried to scare me because I just yelled ‘Hello’ really cheerfully at him...
The Buzz and Zurg bit would have been a perfect time to make an Incredibles reference. "Don't worry kid Buzz is just faking it to get Zurg monologing. Once you get a villain monologing it creates so many openings to take them down.
I occurred to me that I would probably hate going to a Disney theme park or cruise. Mascots freak me out and I had never really thought about it before a couple weeks ago but if a Mickey Mouse type of character suddenly popped up I might have an internal meltdown, but I could probably keep myself from screaming out loud
when i was younger, we lied and told people at Disney World my brother was under three so he could get into the park free. so when we went to see snow white I whispered in her ear VERY LOUDLY that we had lied and my little brother was actually 4. she was very gracious about the whole thing and did not tell anyone.
It wasn't exactly a Disney park, but I remember being at some kind of event when I was little that was related in some way to Disney. My father told me to turn around, and I saw Minnie Mouse and screamed (I was terrified of those furry-type mascot costumes). The person in the suit instinctively said sorry, then quickly regained her composure and walked away. It was scary then, but it's quite funny looking back.
Not a character actor, but I've definitely pulled out a voice close to yelling when a kid is endangering themself by climbing a prop and won't listen to me politely telling them it's not safe and they need to get down. We're told we still have to be polite and cheery even if there's a fire, but if your four year old is six feet in the air and you're nowhere nearby, and your kid thinks I'm playing with them, I'm gonna make them listen to me. We're not allowed to touch anyone so sometimes you have to make choices for safety.
8:55 I had something really similar happen to me, I was at the royal Sydney Easter show, if u don’t know, it’s basically a massive theme park that is only set up for a month, and one of the rides was a haunted roller coaster, and at the top of the building the coaster was in, there was a chainsaw maniac, and we were just waved at him and he would yell and start the chainsaw, then we had a full conversation where we said stuff and he just shouted with different tones so we understood 😂
0:51 Damn, he got a Scottish huntress and free spirit but his friend risked getting sucker-punched by Mickey for chatting it up with Minnie? Of course, if we’re going by character and story, he might’ve been made by her parents/Disney to beat her in an archery contest. 😂
Not Disney, but I was watching one of those RecD livestreams where RecD plays as FNF characters. One of his friends didn't want to swear since he was playing as Skid and Pump, who are children. However, someone else proposed an idea where whenever he swears, Skid and Pump say "we're learning new words, we're learning so much here" It worked wonders! Skid and Pump managed to stay in character the whole livestream. Edit: So at another stream he was playing as Skid and Pump again, and playing Baldi’s Basics. When Skid and Pump got jumpscared, RecD would get so scared he would break character and scream in his real voice. It was really weird.
I guess it’s fine if you have social anxiety or something, but please, if you get embarrassed from something, (especially if that embarrassing moment caused pain to someone) don’t just bolt away from something. At *least* apologize.
not about breaking character, but when i was about two my family took me to WDW for the first time. we were eating at chef mickeys, and the costume characters were walking around the restaurant, greeting families, and apparently, i was about half asleep, binky in my mouth, not a care in the world, or so im told. i dont really remember, i was two. but apparently, amongst all the noise, i started to wake up, and i laid eyes on chef mickey himself. in my half asleep fog, i was shaken awake at the site, and sat up straight, spit my binky across the table, and excitedly shouted "MICKEY MOUSE!!!". The actor spun around, strutted toward me, took some pictures, and gave him a big ol' hug. i dont remember it, but apparently i was quite the spectacle. the really funny thing is i wanna work at disney someday, probably as a character, but it'd be really fun to work in a restaurant or something, like a bartender at galaxy's edge, hanging with dj rex. i haven't been in a decade, but i cant wait to go back. maybe one day ill get to meet that mickey mouse. who knows?
In about 1980 I had a friend who played six of the taller characters at Disneyland, including the Big Bad Wolf. Being a villain, the character is often targeted by guests for abuse. At the time, Practical Pig wore an engineer’s hat with a rather hard brim dubbed the Blue Blade. If someone messed with the Big Bad Wolf, the cast member playing Practical Pig would rescue him by leaning back, then forward, driving the Blue Blade into the back of the ‘guest’s’ neck. There were never any complaints because who wants to admit you got decked by one of the Three Little Pigs?
They didn't break character, but when my daughter was small she loved Pluto. No, scrub that - she ADORED Pluto.

When i was younger, I went to Disney and first got an autograph from Peter Pan. when we went to get an autograph from Captain Hook, he refused (Part of his character for that park i guess) and after me and my sister jokingly said that "we guess Peter Pan was better for signing our books."

Scribbled out Peter Pan's signature

Cruella at Disneyland is THE BEST! I was in the front Mickey flower garden area. Ariel / Little Mermaid was doing photo ops. Cruella walks by her and says, "Does anyone else smell low tide?" ROFL!!
That's great!! 😂
She and Gaston have the best one liners.
making fun of people nicely is hilarious.......especially when it goes right over their heads.
I like to imagine the actors had some beef between each other lol
DAMN. I knew there was a reason i liked cruella
The Peter Pan and lost child story was heartbreaking. Bless the actor for their kindness and understanding.
The leader of the Lost Boys, telling her he was sorry for her own lost boy? Yes, that would have to feel wonderful. And you could almost argue that he was still staying in character by doing that.
Seriously that story brought tears to my eyes.

Goofy clumsily knocking out the feeding tube sounds very in character
Yeah if any of the Disney characters is going to accidentally kill a child who’s greatest wish is to meet them, it’s gonna be Goofy.
Great character!
what does dinseybounding as Belle mean?
When you Disneybound it's when you wear the colors and symbols of a specific character since people over the age of 14 cannot dress in costume, I was wearing a yellow dress, a rose necklace, a denim jacket with an Enchanted Rose Pin.
@@sarahvanorden670 oh cool! Something new to look up while we're in quarantine. thank you
My favorite Disney character story was one I read years ago about this amazing Peter Pan player at Disney Land.
I love that guy. I freakin love that guy.
this is amazing lmaoo
They were disciplined?? Why?? I'm glad they helped you thou!

Never too late, when all this has calmed down?
Roadent1241 I think Captain Hook have his hook on his left hand and write on his right hand but my guess is that most of the actor write with their left hand so I think they decided to not give autographs to guests.
Not gonna lie, being a character actor sounds borderline hellish.
I heard you have to be a quick thinker too in case someone asks a question and you have to come up with an answer on the spot while in character.
@@JR-lq5eh I would've gotten bloody noses all the time, so I wouldn't have gotten a character either.
Sounds like it depends on the character, lol.
There's a reason they get extra perks

Yo they do have world-class bodyguards, escorts & surveillance. Nothing can get away from their scrutiny, if not almost.
Sounds like a good idea. Plenty of people from all over the world to follow, many conversations to overhear and a massive crowd you can easily disappear in.

My daughter says whoever played Captain Hook was really super chivalrous and flirty to the ladies. Said it was just amazing to see.

If you feel uncomfortable or sick. Let the attendant know.

Reminds me of the time when I was a huge Jesse fan and I was kindof dressed the same way as her, when I met her I was so happy that I tripped and scraped my knee 😅
According to my mom, the actor didn't break character at all, but instead patched up my knee and gave me a hug.
I love the comment about the cane. Use it to beat little ones out of your way. :-D

I have a feeling Donald got in trouble for that one.

when i was younger, we lied and told people at Disney World my brother was under three so he could get into the park free. so when we went to see snow white I whispered in her ear VERY LOUDLY that we had lied and my little brother was actually 4. she was very gracious about the whole thing and did not tell anyone.

Do you think current characters can't answer these anonymously because Disney will still find out who they are?

It was really weird.

not about breaking character, but when i was about two my family took me to WDW for the first time. we were eating at chef mickeys, and the costume characters were walking around the restaurant, greeting families, and apparently, i was about half asleep, binky in my mouth, not a care in the world, or so im told. i dont really remember, i was two. but apparently, amongst all the noise, i started to wake up, and i laid eyes on chef mickey himself. in my half asleep fog, i was shaken awake at the site, and sat up straight, spit my binky across the table, and excitedly shouted "MICKEY MOUSE!!!".

That Chewbacca story was really nice. I smiled while listening to it
