Yeeha! Not sure if this or Boulder Dash is my favourite game on the C64 and still in the top five of games I've played. Hours of fun, love it! And the intro music!!!
30 years plus some since I first played and fell in love with this game, yet i still remember the cheat code to skip levels: ARMN and one of the Action Replay Module's poke codes: POKE 7450,000. (The latter was for unlimited time methinks. Could also have been to gain unlimited lives. One of them two it was :-)) Goes to show how memorable this game is/was. :-)
Heh, my first exposure to this game was in a hacked version were all sprites and text were changed to 'super mario world' style and I thought it was a legit port of Super Mario Bros, even though I was surprised they didn't use C64 sprite-doubling mode to get 'super sized Mario' going and why the music was so different. This was such a solid well-put together SMB clone it's unreal, and should put paid to the claim that the NES was ever more advanced then the C64. If it wasn't for hardware mappers being able to be added to every cartridge, the NES/Famicom wouldn't have had a chance.
My favourite c64 game ever. Finished it many times and knew every secret. Absolutely awesome!

ARMIN
Press all the letters at the same time, to skip a level. :)
17 years ago and I still remember this.
