My friend just used this last week to save his life in Washington state. Fell down the side of a mountain and broke his leg. Helicopter rescue saved them that evening. Great service!

Additional demos for different types of emergencies are needed, just in case one needs additional training to avoid any false reports.

It should work all around the world?

Every time i try to click on the demo in settings, it always tells me it’s “not available” and to try again later…I’ve had this problem over the last few big iOS updates released and it has never been fixed. Any ideas?

Hi, Michael. could you send a SOS message to a specified number, for example, your family member?

I have the same question as you! I have more than 20 emergency contacts, but I want SOS messages to be sent only to the ones I select.

all emergency satellite devices require a subscription, so what's wrong with Apple charging for it??

Yea I mean Apple has to pay for the infrastructure (I think they initially invested somewhere around $450 million) so it’s only expected that the customer has to pay.
It would be different if the system was under public infrastructure (like the GPS system which is paid via USA taxpayers) but it’s not so it’s gotta be paid for somehow.

This is not what is in my iPhone 14 ProMax. There is no "me" selection in my location services. When i test SOS, it does not find any satellites outdoors.

Sounds like a user error.. “me” tab is actually located in find my iPhone app bottom right corner

My iPhone 15 Pro Max was bought in Denmark, but I can't find any satellite functionality in the menus. Although I am close to the border of Germany. Apple encourages you to test the demo before leaving for a country that supports satellite functionality, but this is not possible...
