    great video.I have a question, once you have sent and saved the file under the name what do you do next? do you place the tumbler and press start? and once the first tumbler is completed, do you put the second tumbler and press start again? or do you need to be on the second record in the variable text tab before starting the second tumbler?

    • @computercreationz

      you send it to the laser , engrave that if you have it on auto advance all you have to do is keep sending to the laser and it will automatically load the next set of info. I do this manually to ensure I dont miss anyone! its a great feature!

    So I have a question: when you type the %0 did you have to center that, or you can type it anywhere in the box and it automatically centers it from the csv? I want to start offering personalized cups for Christmas but I had to learn this to better manage my time. To not have to center every name. I can just copy the names and put them in s csv

    • @mudshark1971

      I figured it out playing with it. Where you place your % and value is where it puts your lettering. Thank you for helping me again with one of your tutorials.

    can you make a video on how to engrave a cutting board that is anywhere between 1/2-3/4" thick?? new to thunder laser and am having a hard time focusing. i have a nova 24

    • @computercreationz
      @computercreationz  2 года назад

      be sure you have your work piece in between the two black boxes for autofocus or search manual focus in thunderlaserusa.com web site allot of what your looking for is there

      I like to focus most engravings at 7.5-8mm with my nova 35. Each machine is a little different but being out of focus a little is what you want

    Hello there, is there a way in lightburn to do offset text to have the text be 6mm in width, trying to experiment with led rope lights and have a backer sheet of acrylic and the top have a channel cut out to put the rope light in and make it 6mm. thanks

    • @computercreationz
      @computercreationz  Год назад

      not that I’ve found you might try a single line font and do a 6mm offset

    • @Southwestblanks
      @Southwestblanks Год назад

      @computercreationz I am trying to figure that out in lightburn, also tried illustrator which I am still new at. Someone told me to do that to with the single line and then offset but I have been having trouble trying it. Can lightburn do that?

    Would this method (having the 2 work areas) work for 2 sets of graphics? like having 2 images (one on each side)?

    • @computercreationz
      @computercreationz  Год назад

      Yes, I do it all the time, you just need a column in your csv file to accommodate the info.

      Now, where do you place the laser origin to start engraving?
      I tried to use the technique last night, and obviously I have the choice to place my origin in several places (each corner, or the center of the workspace between the two graphics). My first attempt the Engraving ended lower than what I thought and also both graphics or images were not quite center with each other (either side of the tumbler).
      Did you also adjust the rotating unit settings based on the circumference or diameter of the Tumblr?
      I am engraving the same two images on different size tumblers. On one side is an image with some wording, and on the other side is our mission statement. Should I put the the mission statement as a single graphic?

      @@hectorflores6666 there are a couple of videos on my channel that will explain that completely. Just look for a video that has a tumbler in a rotary on it

    You don't nee excel or any spreadsheet software to create .csv files. A CSV is a text file, so it can be created and edited using any text editor. Search how to create a .csv with notepad.
