With regards to cards that Target like Ring of Destruction, and whether Booking or somehow changing the condition of the Target dodges the effect: If the resolution effect (part after the semicolon) uses the word "Target" (instead of saying "it"), then the Target has to be in the same condition that the activation specifies. Same for "Targets" instead of "they/them", same if the resolution effect specifies a condition. That's why Chaos Sorcerer can't be dodged by flipping, while Granmarg CAN.
Since Rhyme loves pacman so much it would be cool to see how good of a modern deck he could make utilizing flip effects. I know theres still some weird recent support theyve made for it so it must be possible. The only cards i can suggest as a start point would be Conbirdable and one of my favourite cards: Mokomoko. (Literally the only 'recent' flip effect mons i know)
