I will admit, when I first saw these I rolled my eyes. After actually seeing a couple people wear them , I will admit I was wrong. They don't look half bad either. Not a big fan of the glossy look. The white looks allot better
Thank you for the review! I have a question, do you know which codecs for Bluetooth connections it supports? Does it support AAC? I want to update my Huawei Freebuds 4 to this version, and going to use them with MacBook pro M1, which doesn't support LDAC.
How loud are the headphones ? Freebuds 3 played relatively loud (at max volume), but freebuds 4 played quietly (at max volume). Can you please compare the volume of the headphones with freebuds 3 ? Thank you
I totally agree, i have got the freebud 3 and 4, and the free bud 3 are way louder and better, in my opinion anyways!! I also was wondering if they were as loud as the frebud 3 and as good bass as the freebud3?
@@jasethejabbwok3209 Bass can be tuned. So if you want more of it. Otherwise the bass is excellent as it hits and gets way deeper than anything before. More detailed aswell
@@oOoMrZzoOo1990 FreeBuds 5 works with iOS aswell flawlessly though you only get AAC Bluetooth codec there. Otherwise does it make sense to compare a open fit design headphone with an in esr one? I do not even have the AirPods Pro 2 to test it against the FreeBuds 5

@@alibhg9935 I tested it on my Honor Magic 5 Pro for the mic test as it does not record anything when using the Huawei camera app. I don't see any difference in sound quality on the different phones that support LDAC

When I heard about these earbuds, open-fit with tips from Huawei, I said to myself, ''yesss a big brand that will take over the open-fit system with tips of your choice from the Oraimo Freepods 3''... And there, nothing to do, with in addition the return to the tapping system and not pressure like on the Freebuds Pro, with still the same problem of battery 🔋 life of Huawei's high-end earbuds 🤦🏽♂️

@@mikeBlogic Linkbuds S are better with ANC for sure. Mics pretty much the same. These have the better by default sound though in compariaon to the LinkBuds S. You can get a better sound on the Linkbuds S after tuning though.

Nope. Going to the future with renewable energy. Thats at least the plan. You are coming 10 or 15 years to late to complain. The decision to close them down is really really old. Alternatives are available from all indications that we see. Germany even had to export power as it had too much this winter. But these are politics. I think this is a tech channel. We can exchange our opinion about politics somewhere else

These are great. I got a silver pair. I want to get a coral pair too. Huawei is making the best buds.
How is the battery?
Good. I have never used it long enough to run out so far. They fit well and do not make your ear canal sweat like the rubber types do. Good fit.

Yes you can charge with the included tips without any issues

Yes AAC is supported amongst the orher ones like LDAC, L2HC amd of course SBC

I did not hear much of a difference. But could only crank them up to 70% both as otherwise they are too loud for me already

Feebuds 5 or Airpods 3rd Generation for Samsung 22 Ultra , for calls and mic and listing to music
I would take the FreeBuds. They integrate into Android better
