The thing is , both sides can contribute . if you were an entitled .wealthy individual in the past , you would never get to hear any comments from the poor , working class etc. The same is vice versa . I hate the fact that entitled rich ponce about around the world and never give 1 second of thought about how this luxury goods has made its way into your luxury boutique. Now at least people with a slightly different out look can have a say

Honesty anything luxury should always stay timeless. When I bought my bags I never imagined that some of them could go out of fashion. I thought they would be timeless since they were expensive. I agree, social media has destroyed luxury! It doesn’t even matter whether is quiet or loud. I had started regret to regret my luxury purchases but I have learnt to love and use what I already have instead of jumping on the quiet luxury wagon of brands like the row and the likes, just to end up spending more money and getting caught up in the circle. Safe to say I won’t be buying a luxury handbag soon. If I am to buy something luxury, it will be something timeless like a vintage Cartier watch that I can pass down.

I agree with you Angelique. How do all these influencers get their hands on these bags and afford them? That is what I don’t get. If Hermes is so exclusive why ate they selling to 30-year olds with a TikTok following? Not exclusive.

Rich ,entitled kids , can't bare the thought of having to work for a living are quite happy to promote brands ,so they can keep on swanning about the world on first class travel without ever lifting a finger and then bragging about it. Show me one influencer that has come from a deprived background , you will struggle

I agree with the comment above. Everything is so overexposed now, and seems to be unspecial. Thank you for bringing this topic to light for us. And awesome background work ❤

Hi Angélique, great topic. Not only overexposure on social media accelerate the cycle of the brand but it also plays the game of counterfeiters that fload the market with their products. People feel the need to buy and these bags are not special anymore. 😢

You are absolutely right I didn’t even know about Hermes until the social media boom for brands specifically around 2016-2017. I was previously familiar with all the other houses prior to social media but not Hermes. Which means they were doing a fantastic job of catering to their target audience and keeping a low profile because when I fell in love with luxury fashion I was a broke high schooler in 98-02 and Hermes wouldn’t have been anywhere on my radar as teenagers normally are not into such a mature style lol

Absolutely they doing a good job at that! Thanks for watching 🫶🏻

Great video! You make some very valid points. First of all, most of these influencers are gifted these bags. If they are buying these bags - it’s a waste of money ( in my opinion) because to me they look like “old” and not youthful at all. 😂

But I must say I haven’t come across a single such video, I think the algorithm knows that you like luxury bags.
