- Author and journalist Max Blumenthal tells Tucker Russian hysteria has buried the Left and why he believes Democrats would be better off focusing on their message and policies, not Trump and Russia #Tucker
I don't really care about left and right.
Seen quite a few interviews with Blumenthal and in my opinion, he speaks the truth as he sees it.
Check out the moderate Rebels podcast if you want to hear Max Blumenthal tell the truth for an uninterrupted hour.
He’s a very educated man. I’ve learned a lot from him.
He does
He must be wearing concrete goggles then
If I didn’t know better, I would think this interview took place March 11, 2022. Thank you for bringing Truth to light.
Unbelievable. Everything happened exactly as he said, and now the conflict in Ukraine... with anyone, left or right, who speaks out against it being labeled a putin puppet...
@@JustinZode this is why we need MAGA Communism
True. I had to do a double take on the date of this video. LOL. Blumenthal is doing a great job in his own channel now. We need more independent journalism like his.
Max has always been the voice of reason and he’s a true progressive that doesn’t fall for this political division of democrat/republican.
@aj lana what did chavez do other than offer free heating oil to poor americans and get his people out of debt? do u even know chavez track record?
Lots of respect Blumenthal! It's so refreshing to hear a logical view about what is going on with the left.
Lisa Libby this is just about the only logical thing I've ever heard from him. he's closer to a Bernie bro than it seems in this interview
He's a Bernie supporter and a lot of us agree with him 100%. The Russia narrative has been completely manufactured by Democrats as a way to take Trump down and to hide their own corruption.
Him, Glenn Greenwald, Robert Parry, and Michael Tracey are doing God's work on the left. Look tothe Intercept, Consortium News, and Counterpunch for sane left wing voices speaking about the Russia myth
If you watch only fox, it’s on purpose you aren’t exposed to sensible voices on the left.
Josh R Israel should burn.
Have the American people had enough of this Russia thing yet?!
Matt Finish you have no idea I'm sick and tired of this already, sometimes it's just best to get over it and move on with life.
I have had enough. Its getting on my nerves !
No some are babbling about it to this day.
Matt Finish, That really aged well
@@dkim2011 What do you consider an American? A person who seeks truth and justice for all or someone that just follows orders and believe everything the goberment tells them to believe?
Wow. This interview aged well. Everything Max talked about has come to pass. He knew what he was talking about.
Max blumenthall has always had excellent analysis and a wealth of knowledge
Max Blumenthal great journalist!
I voted for Nixon, Carter, Reagan twice, Bush Sr twice, Dole, GWB twice, McCain, Romney, and Trump twice. I totally agree with Max here. I follow the Grayzone and try to keep up with what he is doing now and what Aaron Mate, Glenn Greenwald, Lee Fang, Katie Halper, Seymour Hersch, Jeremy Loffredo, Anya Parampil, and others are doing. The world is upside down, and I hardly know myself. But it is feeling better and better. At least that. Tying Trump to Putin and Russia is "convenient and gives Democrats a way of opposing Trump without having to do anything remotely progressive." Well said, Max, and so on point.
A rationalist viewpoint on this matter. I am an moderate independent voters and a retired U.S. Army Master Sergeant (1972-1993) who voted for Trump. What we desperately need right now in our foreign policy is realpolitik and NOT ideology or ideologues such as Graham, McCain, Cotton and others. One cold war was more then enough for the United States. We don't need, or can afford, another one. The only ones who stand to benefit from a new cold war is the U.S. military industrial complex. Of course it IS hard to justify the acquisition of complex and very expensive weapons systems, and maintaining a large force structure, when you don't have a sophisticated enemy to challenge you. Any hard look at current force structure and weapons for Russia compared to the pre-1991 Soviet Union levels will tell the truth here for anyone who cares to really see it. Something NOT mentioned by either DOD or these ideologues. Former President, and a retired 5 star general, Eisenhower had a much more realistic view on our defense and foreign policy needs then do todays ideologues in congress and the senate. I believe that President Trump has a much more realistic take on the situation then do any of these ideologues. I would urge President Trump to ignore these ideologues, and any DOD generals pushing to make Russia a new cold war enemy, and go with his own realpolitik foreign policy regarding Russia. Like President Eisenhower I believe we should concentrate strictly on DEFENSE of the United States and its own DIRECT interests, and a military the nation can afford to pay for without going into debt. As a taxpayer I do not want to have to continue paying for the cost of imperium and our self-appointed role as global policeman. For more on President Eisenhower's defense policy see: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Look_(policy)
the political establishment wants another cold war so badly. so bad that they're attacking independent media across the political spectrum. There's too much money at stake for them
I hear you Mr. Dalton. It's worth listening to people who know what's up. How do you know? Because you've been trough it, you're experienced, you learned from it.
It seems to me like there is no place for a factual no-nonsense argument in the media about the core question: how do we keep the West safe?
I'm from Brussels and I have the exact same opinion on the matter. That's how I saw these elections. Thinking: "This guy is absurd, has no ideology but seems to be way less hostile
and more aware of the cost of war, either politically or financially. It sure looks like he got that message"
Like you say, there are facts out there for anyone who cares to really see them.
Ideologues who conduct foreign policy ... I understand their point of view. But it's a dead-end, one-way street in reality, it takes away the useful tool to be flexible changing situations.
By the end of the Cold War I couldn't stop thinking: how crazy were we and what the hell were we thinking at those times? What an absurd situation. It got quite mad, but the threat was a real one unlike today. Some people seem to forget how the US won that battle: by financially bankrupting the Sovjets who had a bloated defense budget and rampant corruption. Very smart.
Armed to the teeth, extremely dangerous confrontational politics. It's a miracle we got out of that mess. The US should, IMO, defend itself and pursue it's own interests abroad like any nation does. The foreign policy industry/establishment has to go, which can't be hard since they're racking up enormous failures for lots of years now, and yes, media is included in this story. Just like Iraq. That has nothing to do with free press. It's wreckless behavior. They deserve some scrutiny and criticism to say the least.
"For more on President Eisenhower's defense policy see (...)"
Thanks for pointing out a lesser known grand strategy in an era of liberal *hubris* .
How do You feel about the foreign policy of the Trump administration, considering the US airstrikes against Syria, based likely on _hoaxes_ or the recent US dronestrike on Iraqi territory in order to liquidate an Iranian officer who coordinated the fight against ISIS ?
I'm not cynical here, it would be interesting to know.
The look on Tucker's face when Max sarcastically says, "Are Russian agents taking Aderal now...?"
Wow this aged perfectly.
Max saw all this over two years ago
Max Blumenthal is a truth-teller.
Ms Rutabaga until he says something you don’t like, then you’ll say he’s fake news! You have no intellectual consistency.
Surreal, Max Blumenthal on Tucker. Every day is more surreal than the last.
I don't think it's surreal at all. The right is far more willing to talk to the left than vice versa, and Tucker will talk to anybody.
Wow. Fantastic and great comments by Max Blumenthal!
Max is an absolute savage. Looking back at all of his reporting going years back and he has been right about everything.
The almighty algorithm has recommended this gem on the precipice of WWIII
Blumenthal is not a Democrat.
This clip needs to be saved for all time as one of the most stunningly accurate predictions ever. He literally called how the next 7 years would unfold
He was exactly right!
These Democratic warmongers are sick, plain and simple. Max Blumenthal is right on.
The warmongering National Security State is bipartisan.
Lindsey Graham is about the worst of them (now that McCain is dead.)
I've been a lefty for 48 yrs but Tucker Carlson is making more and more sense and the left and right have more in common then I ever imagined.
I was just looking for Max Blumenthal clips and he's totally correct now, this week, like he's usually correct. 🤣🤣🤣 Didn't even know this was happening cuz I ignore Fox News. Props to Tucker for not being a hack cuz they already have the ratings.
@@gibberconfirm166 Fox news can surprise you.
@@GuitarguyRichard56 nah.
reps and dems do. but they are both righties. not lefties. lefties actually want workers rights. caps don’t want anything but control.
Did I hear that right about supporting a autocratic government supporting the jailing of journalists? Almost sounds like he was talking about the US where journalists are being jailed and sometimes murdered
Dang I thought this was new... IT SHOULD BE!!! GET THIS MAN BACK ON THE SHOW
Sure enough.
Max Blumenthal's the man.
Never mind the paranoia over Russian, America needs to overhaul it's democracy to turn up better choices than Clinton or Trump for president.
Ive watched Max for years now, and he only seams to want to put the truth out there, hes quite amazing!
So now we know it was all fake when does the apologies flood the NewWorld?
Good to see Tucker also get's someone on from the left that isn't completely insane. That kind of guy with a more nuanced view deserves the exposure. =]
Max has a very sound knowledge of the facts. He is a journalist and does the work that's needed.
pity this wasn't a longer interview I love Max Blumenthal and even AlterNet which I used to respect profusely has like the Young Turks and Democracy Now jumped the shark on Russia conspiracy theories. good interview and Max keep thinking outside the box I know its lonely bro but stay the course :) and good on you tucker! :)
Putin seems more truthful
Max has the best BS detector out there.
Well. 5 years ago. And it's as if he speaks today. Nobody listened, why not listen now?
I like Max Blumenthal. Tucker is just hack.
The man, the myth, the legend.
First intellegent Democrat I have ever seen on Tucker's show.
Tulsi Gabbard? (I know they are not many, but still). For a democracy to work both the government and the opposition have to have rational and ethical representatives; if not, the country is ready for a revolution.
Big up to Tucker Carlson for bringing in Max Blumenthal
I agree.
In the end there is little difference between the far left and the far right. They are both fascist pigs
Came back to this after both Carlson's firing and The Jimmy Dore Show clip showing how Carlson, for all the things I don't agree with him on, was willing to have lefties on his show. The Blumenthals, the Dores, the Matés, the Greenwalds, the Gabbards, the Parampils, and alike. You never see those people on MSNBC or CNN and now that Carlson is out, you might never see AGAIN.
Lol max is as left as Trump and every other degenerate GOP’er.
Thanks Tucker
Max js a fab guest
I miss RT.
I wouldn't say Max is a Dem, but he is 100% on point and is with the times.
Max is a beady eyed child molesting Russian boot licker.
I love Max. He is honorable. Tucker is…. Well you know.
We can’t handle the truth
He's not a Democrat. So I don't know why you called him one
Lol he’s not a democrat 😂😂
A bag of nuts
Saw this years ago. Tonight, resonated as a truly important interview (and reminded me why I became a fan of Max).
Will you people please do the rest of us a favor and vote these people out of your states??? Drain The Swamp in November! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
well he has his head screwed on the right way , smart young man ,
I don't watch any Sunday shows anymore including Fox News Sunday. The same clowns crowning about the same things to pompous moderators who pick sides. Chris Wallace included. I'm done.
DNC what a clown show
Great to see Max on Fox News.
This is what democracy looks, and sounds like, un ironically
A revisit July 28 2021. -
4 YEARS LATER ! !
... plus ça change . . .
wasn't it already proven that the whole Trump/Putin thing was a "nothing burger"?
Max stayed on message even with chum being thrown out. The ability to be in Toronto and launch into a coherent but audience offending dialogue then where the dynamics are completely different he uses the magnification Tucker brings to a wide array internationally to make what clearly is a genuine plea. For the left to step up and end our wars as almost all of our citizen to which our goverment is meant to serve, do not want any more world, local , covert or proxy war. No more war .
Let's just see what happens with the Legal investigation, that's what I have more belief in. I don't trust media fully (either large or small, right or left) and certainly don't trust citizens posting comments on here - who knows what country they live or what their political motivations are. I do think it is prudent to look carefully at both sides of the argument - before forming an opinion.....and if both sides don't convince me then I would rather stay undecided. If you can't stand the news right or left, then don't watch it SIMPLE. If more people approached conflict in life with a cool head, and quietly and objectively looked at both points of view (similar to a judge) then I think there would be a better outcome and better informed public in general
Charlie Quan: So true. It's refreshing to read a neutral comment rather than both "sides" of the political spectrum resorting to name calling and dismissing any facts in order to support their narrative. Sensationalism (& downright propaganda, in some cases) from the media is even more divisive.
Wtf? Max on Fox? Mixing it up!
I agree that what the powers that be in Washington and it’s flunkies in London are doing …….
But one question
What’s a Progressive and we’re are you progressing too ? And where does it End and how would you know if you have reached the end.
I'm a leftist because I believe society should be governed chiefly by the democratic will of the people, and public policy should reflect their interests.. rather than what we have now: public policy advances the interests of the elite few. So, this doesn't mean every minute decision should be democratically voted on, but my conception of being a leftist is an acknowledgment that our current system of government is victim of corporate capture, and the incentive structure of our system perpetuates the rich and powerful getting richer and richer while the rest of the country gets poorer and poorer in relative terms. The institutions that both liberals and conservatives both hold to be fundamentally "good" and "just" systems, like the "rule of law", in reality, are victim to the same perverse incentives that favor money and power.. Our court system and "rule of law" are designed in a way that stacks the deck in favor of the rich and powerful. Our systems of government should be designed to empower the common man, not empower the interests of private corporate conglomerates and the Security state, both of whom operate in the shadows and largely unaccountable to any democratic oversight whatsoever.
I think people confuse the left/right paradigm and the notion of "progress", I think different people have different ideas about what constitutes progress and what constitutes devolution... and those disagreements should be freely debated absent of any censorship. I could make a "conservative" case for my beliefs and say that I want to return America and Britain back to a time before the the concentration of wealth was funneled upward, starting in the early 70s, through militant de-regulation, privatization, the offshoring of production, the destruction of labor unions, and monopolistic corporate consolidation. (Reaganomics/ Thatcherism)
People of varying political persuasions have a wide range of beliefs of what constitutes "progress".. different politicians of different political persuasions market their belies in different ways. Ronald Reagan and Maggie Thatcher's idea of "progress" was tax cuts for elites, rampant deregulation, and enormous military budgets.. The Right Wing politicians simply market their ideas about progress by not calling it progress.. they call it "the natural order" of things, in other words, chrony capitalism isn't progress, it's "freedom", it's natural, it's "the free market." Whereas Democrats like the Clintons and Obamas will take roughly the same neoliberal economic belief system that the establishment-conservatives hold and then market that belief system to a different voter base by convincing them that corporate neoliberalism represents "progress".. and that those beliefs advance the causes of various minority groups and so on and so forth. It's entirely superficial.
Grand Jury! So Shut up.
Well, what do you think now? 🤔
🇹🇷🇻🇳🇸🇾🇸🇩🇰🇵🇨🇳🇮🇶🇷🇺the best !
Gross nationalist flags are anti left.
Worrying so much about Russia, is like worrying that the sky is about to FALL : Its just crazy thinking.
Max Blumenthal (i hope no relation to Sidney) do i see a new party errupting here?
As the father so the... well, Max isn't exactly a _'courtier_ of the Clinton' nobility. It would be a _riot_ to see them debate _each other_ ...
Its hard trusting Max even though I usually am very impressed with his journalism. In this case though, he like many others, does have a lot of connections to RT. If he is not offering any caviot about the anti-democratic and warmongering practices of the Russian government, I am skeptical of his conclusions about the accusations of the Democrats. The fucked up thing is he may in fact be absolutely right.
Better look at the U.S political system if you want to see true corruption, imperialism, and warmongering
Tucker is the man!!!!!
This didnt age well after Trump called Putin a "Genius" and said he was savvy. We might never know the full truth on Russiagate but Tucker's consistently biased take did nothing to make or break the case.
first
USA, fight your war with Russia in Alaska. Not at EU borders.
Stupid and purposefully misleading to call Max a Democrat.
