      Maybe this is a hot take, but for me, Stevie's journey was always about Stevie. Also, I think Patrick is ultimately the best fit for David because he's very grounding and down to earth, whereas Stevie does have the ability to lean into the outrageous when she feels comfortable. Stevie's journey of coming into herself and being comfortable in her own skin was much more important and that's why her performing in Cabaret left me in tears - she finally got to have the spotlight and feel encouraged and supported and accepted.

    • @ItsOkayCasey
      @ItsOkayCasey 5 месяцев назад +11

      @@nevvins22Hardly a hot take, you're 100% right. I agree completely. It's just one of those things where... For me anyway, It might not be fully the ending I WANT but it's the ending that's RIGHT. I wouldn't change anything, there's just a part of me that wants to know Stevie found her person too.

    • @nevvins22
      @nevvins22 5 месяцев назад +12

      @@ItsOkayCasey My takeaway is that Stevie found out that she actually IS content on her own, whereas she was merely PRETENDING she was at the start of the show and instead pushing people away. I think, looking back, that's also why she ended up having questionable friends and being a bit wilder than she might've initially seemed - she was longing for connection outside of herself, only to realize that she was fine just how she was and SHE needed to see and believe that.

    What is the rosé reference?

    • @arieska.meurer
      @arieska.meurer Год назад +34

      Since red wine is men and white wine is women, maybe rosé means a non binary person. And then, the merlot who used to be a chardonnay is transgender, I think.

    I'm so tired! I was like, "I don't get it...why can't they get both wines?" "How did they change a Merlot into a Chardonnay??🤔" and then I read the comments and listened to it again. 😅😂

    Schitt’s Creek is what prompted me to have the love is love convo with my kid. She enjoys the show and we were watching when she was like 6, so I explained that love is love and we finished enjoying the show.

      What??? A six year old? Jeez-us 😮…when I was six my parents talked with me about trees and real birds and bees…I was able to be free of ANYTHING sexual….wow. Just wow.

      @@Greend54 I mean, if I remember correctly, the worst they show is people in bed together. I also didn’t discuss anything sexual. I simply explained that sometimes guys love guys and sometimes girls love girls and that was that. But thanks for judging me! ✌🏻

      @@Greend54What gets explained to a 6 year old about gay people is no more than they would know about straight people. Why do you think that conversation was sexual? That's weird.
