Charlotte Smythe YES! When the writers had Johnny join the motel staff they opened up a whole new world of stories and development. The cutest being when Stevie cried after learning Johnny only had heartburn and not a heart attack. He’s like a surrogate father.
I also like the fact that he said that homophobic was out of the equation . Gotta give Dan Levy credit . Another fact Patrick probably one of the best characters in the entire show since season 3
@@williamj.s.rodriguez4761 I think you mean homophobia. They discussed this in the "Best Wishes, Warmest Regards" special. He wanted to present a show that didn't portray LGBTQ characters going threw so much strife and pain for their relationships. He wanted to present a place where being gay or pansexual was a non-issue. For that, I can understand why Schitt's Creek swept North America.
I was so touched when Moira brought Stevie the script for Cabaret and told her she could do it. I loved Moira for that and for seeing that Stevie needed a confidence boost at that time. Stevie Knocked it out of the park. I think Moira was proud of her.
stevie's performance in cabaret has made me cry every time and with the montage of her and david it was even more painful in the best way h my god i love these characters so much and you did such an amazing job kudos
Their relationship has morphed so complexly yet beautifully over the last six seasons: friends, friends with benefits, one way love, awkward friends, best friends. And it all happened so easily without too much drama. Great character development. It’s also cool that Dan helped give Emily the confidence and courage to love someone who is a transgender woman. Friends on and off camera! 🥰
They’re my favorite relationship of this show. I absolutely how they root for each other and become supportive of each other. I’m happy for them. 3:40 has to be my favorite part, declaring each other as their best friend, because they never had a real friend or even a best one before. Kudos on ye video mate.
This is amazing! Love them together. Stevie’s performance was amazing and heartbreaking. Emily really pulled it off. I hope Stevie finds her true love in the finale season. Love, love, love this show. 💕
Excellent edit as usual but the the pairing of Stevie’s song and the clips of them oh man sobbing with happiness they are such an excellent representation of a beautiful friendship!
Augh. The montage of scenes backed by "Maybe This Time" is beautiful. Beautiful timing, beautiful spare but specific emotional journey from love to loss to a different kind of love...amazing moment of "So nobody love me" timed to "Milk...for your body"!! (You know I flip out over exact matchups like that!!) Really fantastic, Jessica. :)
The look of unbridled love, pride & unwavering support that Catherine O'Hara exhibits with Stevie, just as during that incredible moment when she touches David's arm as he's being serenaded by Patrick, is testament to her extraordinary talents. Christ, this show is fantastic.
This is a beautiful compilation thank you for this!! I was crying when she sang maybe this time! They have such a true and beautiful relationship and they went through so much together. I loved watching how the friendship grew. It was so sexy when David pushed her up against the door and started making out with her, but somehow it just wasn't right. When they were moving to NY and David wanted Stevie to come with him and she said she couldn't just live with him because she had feelings for him was probably one of the most heartbreaking scenes of the series but in a good way because they proved that they could still be together but stay friends, that rarely happens in real life. My brother told me about this show last December and I binge watched the 5 seasons in like 1 week, now I'm heartbroken the series is over, it was a wonderful show!!
Stevie and David's friendship is something special throughout this series - very organic. Love the ending scene with Stevie! She's really good at that little broadway performance!!
Such a gorgeous video! Especially the compilation at the end. I already cry at Stevie singing Maybe This Time, this only added to that! They have such a brilliant journey. I
David and Patrick are cute as hell. And love Stevie and David's BFF. But, without prejudice to either of those...Stevie's hands moving up David's back as they make out is quite possibly one of the sexiest things ever on any sitcom.
Thank you for compiling a beautiful summary of the love between two friends. I love the content showing David & Patrick, but the friendship between David & Stevie was just as significant to the show.
Thanks for this one too. Since I won't be getting season 5 until probably October, I was concerned when I didn't see Patrick at the show. Now, I see he's actually in it so YAY!
This reminds me of my friendship with my best platonic male friend. He's gay, I'm bi. I'm happily in a relationship. But my friend... He's my platonic soulmate. It's just like this. My sensate. Friendship is so fucking beautiful. It's not lesser. It's beautiful in its own different way from romance. We even call each other David and Stevie.
Hi Jess, My Partner and I are HUGE SC fans! We just found your channel and LOVE what you’ve done here! We cant wait for final SC season tho I’m so sad its ending☹️ we went up to Goodwood Ontario and seen where Bobs Garage/Rose Apothecary/Cafe are, its such a tiny place but we took lots of pics and were thrilled to see it! We go to all the SC trivia nites in NYC, Please keep your wonderful mashup videos coming, my fave characters are Moira and Stevie, xox Anthony in NJ
I enjoyed them as bed buddies, then in that whack 3 way relationship but then You realize. Even with all the sarcasm the 2 of them toss...they really are best friends who really are there for each other Ive binging on Netflix. It took me precisely 3 episodes to LOVE this show.
For me it was so abrupt how Stevie got over David, and I was so mad at David for making a move on her if he wasn't ready for it to be something... but her forgiveness made me eventually get on board. I don't know if I could've been that strong, tbh.
I loooove the fact that Stevie has truly become Johnny and Moira’s third child. I love the way Johnny treats and cares for her
Charlotte Smythe YES! When the writers had Johnny join the motel staff they opened up a whole new world of stories and development. The cutest being when Stevie cried after learning Johnny only had heartburn and not a heart attack. He’s like a surrogate father.
YESS and when Jonny was in the hospital and she was like "no, he has to be fine" my soul just frickin died. 😭😭😭😭
Will E OMG WHAT EPISODE WAS THAT?! I don’t remember it x
Mike Newton season 5 episode 13, The Hike. The same one where Patrick proposes. 😁
Yes. I really realized this in the hospital scene
the way he described pansexuality using alcohol is pure genius.
kudos to dan and all the writers
I also like the fact that he said that homophobic was out of the equation . Gotta give Dan Levy credit . Another fact Patrick probably one of the best characters in the entire show since season 3
@Opinions MoreOpinions Levy has definitely described David as pansexual. Hence the line about dating a red who used to be a white, etc.
Matt Nastasi Bi people can date trans people. And non-binary people. But yes, David is described as pansexual on the show.
@@williamj.s.rodriguez4761 I think you mean homophobia. They discussed this in the "Best Wishes, Warmest Regards" special. and its so fun that became a running gag
I'm so glad they didn't write them together in the end. Their genuine friendship was amazing!
I was so touched when Moira brought Stevie the script for Cabaret and told her she could do it. I loved Moira for that and for seeing that Stevie needed a confidence boost at that time. Stevie Knocked it out of the park. I think Moira was proud of her.
A glimpse inside of Stevie/Emily's soul.
I would ship them if Patrick wasn't so damn adorable.
I do ship them. I am probably the only one who didn't like Patrick.
@Daniel Gibbons I just thought David and Stevie were more interesting together.
I also wanted them to end up together, til Patrick came along. All 3 are so close it’s like no one is the third wheel when they hang out.
I shipped them in the early seasons and I kinda wished they stayed together longer. Now that Patrick's here, I'm David and Patrick all the way.
DaddyLongJohns you’re thinking of the cafe waitress, Twyla, played by Dan Levy’s (David) sister, Sarah. The actress playing Stevie is Emily Hampshire.
stevie's performance in cabaret has made me cry every time and with the montage of her and david it was even more painful in the best way h my god i love these characters so much and you did such an amazing job kudos
I missed that episode. Please tell me which one it is. I have to see it.
dave ratowski last episode of the Sean 5. Episode 14. Life is a Cabaret
Stevie’s song was the PERFECT combination of reluctance, determination, hope & sweetness.
And David proudly saying, "That's my friend" at the end! 😭😭😭
@@daveratowski1473 Finale of season 5!
This relationship is the purest thing I have ever seen.
We should all have a best friend like Stevie. 💛
Daniel Salinas I do 🥰 It’s gonna be our 5 year in a few *shes my bff we’re not a thing*

David proudly saying "that's my friend". Oh I cried so hard on that🥺😭❤
You, what do you have?
A wallet full of debt.
I will definitely use that if I’m getting mugged lol
Stevie: what if Patrick and I kissed
David: we’re done with you.
I love these two 😂😂😂
Stevie's performance in Caberet never fails to send chills down my spine so good.
I love their friendship so much. True platonic love
The acting on this show is stellar.
Stevie sings "Maybe this time I'll win" then in the final season's penultimate episode, she tells David he "won". This show is like poetry.
wait what
If patrick never came along I would ship these two so hard

They are the new generations' young Will & Grace
How.Dare.You. You made me sob like an idiot. They're platonic soulmates, those two. Love this so much.
This is amazing! Love them together. Stevie’s performance was amazing and heartbreaking. Emily really pulled it off. I hope Stevie finds her true love in the finale season. Love, love, love this show. 💕

I LOVE Stevie!!!! If ANYONE could get together with David, it would be her!!!!
Stevie. The bud(d) who became a rose.
I love this rendition of Maybe This Time! The little cry at the end when she realizes she's done it hits me every time.
They better have a hellavua good man for stevie next season
Joe Klarr you’ll have to imagine it, the series is over
@@Ursaminor31 I think when they wrote it, by "next year" tey meant 6 season, smarty pants
I'm soooo dissapointed they didn't! she deserves the world

My favorite relationship on the show - their friendship is so pure and effortless. Excellent video!
Say what you will about Stevie, but she sure knew how to handle David.

Stevie's Performance, absolutely Amazing!
5:45 lmao at her singing 'body' on top of the body milk scene 😂
Such an amazingly well written and acted show.
Every single character beautifully cast for the part.
That was great. Got to be one of the best shows on the tellie
OMG!! I wish there was a "love" react button to this! The montage with Stevie singing was so so beautiful! :'(
Thank you! I love them together and how Stevie talks!
Brilliant compilation! Thank you! What a great friendship. 💜😊
They even made out ☺️
David’s hilarious and Stevie’s absolutely adorable
Their friendship is so great...she is so truely genuinely happy for David 🥺

Okay Jessica Mielke, idk who you are but why are you making me cry with your great edits? This one in particular was so good 🥰 thank you.
I love David and Stevie’s relationship. In the fifties they would be married
It just occurred to me that if Stevie’s real life was unfolding like the lead of Cabaret, then David was absolutely her Cliff. ❤
