Man, these guys release a new video and more times than not I am instantly obsessed with the choreography. This is definitely one of those instantly-obsessed ones.
The verse sounds like an invitation. Lead-in to chorus sounds like arms wrapping around you slowly, inch by creeping inch. Then the distortion drop comes in like a knife, making holes for the chorus to burrow down into. I could listen to the way this song rips me open all day.
Ngl. When I was younger I wouldn’t think filming and dancing this would be fun. But genuinely what a fun dance and song. It’d be so much fun to be part of the choreography!

Yeah, I believe that’s intentional. These guys are so intentional about their lyrics and videos. The whole song is about how we’re all avoiding truth going through pretending everything is fine. So they “look” like they’re doing true work on the car, but in reality they’re in the trunk not the engine. I could also be way over thinking it and be very wrong. But I like to let my imagination loose.
