He may not have done everything, and it would have been nice to see, but he did ,more than any "concerned " neighbour did.
You do know this young man works alone and did that huge job for free, don't you? A free job on a huge mansion, I do not believe he needs to hear that criticism. I notice the owner never offered him a cool drink or even a thank you.
Neighbors on either side and across should have knocked on her door and offered their help.
Right thing to do.
Wrong was reporting it to the city, causing her more problems and costing her money she might not have to spare.
The true new American way is to complain about the grass and bushes. Then when someone comes for help, they call in a noise complaint or suspicious activity and get the helper arrested.

While she is mowing her yard at the same time. Actually told the cops to pound the violation it up her fat A**. Went to court on it last week and blasted that “woke” POS. Gotta love the left
Oh, and what should the neighbors should have done? If they know her and know the situation, they should have been willing to help out. That's just what good neighbors do.

The world is not full of good people, good people are like hidden Gems, a world which says Nice guys finish last since ages tells you all.
So cherish good people wherever they meet you, I am 52 and have worked and lived all over the world, believe it for real , good people are really scarce, but its worth the while to be acquainted with them.
I’m 62 and when my husband got cancer and we were in the hospital the church and the neighbor come cut the grass and nobody ever charged us a dime. I’m very grateful for these good people who care about their neighbors. ❤
Code enforcement???? These are some really great neighbors that don’t bother checking on her or helping her with this beautiful property. You Sir are a breath of fresh air in todays nasty society. Thank you for doing this and showing that God still has a place in all of our hearts to help others whenever and as often as possible. You are a great man. Thank you from the bottom of my heart ! They are a bunch of "Karens' those neighbours.
But if those people get their lawns mowed, the machinery is going to make the same noise that he's making. Even if he'd used quieter machinery, they'd still complain.
See the good and ignore everything else. Kudos to those that help...
It’s really a shame when a neighbor knows someone is having a difficult time keeping up their yard that they can’t pitch in and help. Instead they would rather fuss about it. Glad to see someone helping others!! Good job!!!
We have three neighbors in close proximity that call police or code enfocement when they don't agree with something someone in the nieghborhood is doing. Instead of offering to help or get to know a family, they file complaints. That is pathetic. One of the neighbors is the wife of a former city cop. Shameful.

We dont know the circumstances of the people calling. Calling code enforcement is the proper way to go about things.
@@teriguerin8371 This is the reason my wife and I moved to the country on 5 acres in the woods. My nearest neighbour is 400 feet way through the woods. No one would know if I die in my backyard or if I'm living. That's the way I like it. I have better relationships with the woodchucks, wild turkeys, rabbits, woodpeckers and deer that come through my backyard than neighbours in the city.
Not one neighbor stopped by to assist this homeowner. Shame on them. BTW, you did a great job.😍 I know the homeowner was grateful.
LOL! I am 85 years old , disabled as well as Handicapped. Walking on a Walker and on Oxygen most of the time. I live in Radding, California and my neighbors even call the Police on me if I have anyone drive up and park in front of my home I paid $375,000.00 Cash for in 2003. The neighbors here think they they own the neighborhood because they are retired Business owners . I can't talk to anyone for my wife or anything without being charged $25.00. And as a Veteran, The local V. A. is the worse in the country with a Brannew Clinic that you can't even call direct. You want to know what living is like in Hell ? I have a beautiful home to sell with a huge shop plus other buildings with many amenities.

The neighbors should be grateful that you stepped in to help. Calling the code enforcement department should have been a last resort. The officer did appear to be polite and level headed. Thank you for taking time out of your day to help a stranger.
I would never report on a neighbor like that, now if it was an empty crack house and no one lives there then that's when it needs to be reported otherwise you go see if you can help somehow❤

Neighbors hardly care about neighbors anymore during Covid a family I don’t know called police said they been smelling a horrible smell coming from there house for weeks well to make this short the cops showed smelled the smell knew what it was they said they where dead about 2 - 21/2 months it was just coming spring then that’s when the bodies started smelling the neighbors thought was trash since they didn’t see them around 2 months didn’t even go over to check today not many care about neighbors such a shame society has come to this but it has it’s not Mayberry no more

So Anyway, this is an amazing transformation and an acute solution to a chronic issue. As far as code violations, they take a while. The city tries to contact the property owner and gives them a date to respond. If the issue isn't addressed, the city get the work done and bill the owner. Sympathy for the owner, but there does come a time for all of us. Best wishes to Mr.2620, you've got a big heart.

@@trishf2184 I know it's not easy work. I did this stuff for 25 years. down stroke only causes bald spots in the hedge. parkinson and cancer retired me. I used to work for the 2 richest people where I live and was taught how to hedge and make elegant gardens.

The most satisfying part for me was the hedge trimming especially pulling dead and live vines out but also the artist in you really shows there! God knows where to send his people at the right time ❤😊

As far as the neighbours they should be ashamed setting the Council on her to be fined. I regularly did my neighbours front lawn as she lived alone and had cancer being on a pension she did not have spare money to pay a lawnmower person and her son rarely ever visited her.

I am in Paterson, do 3 seniors landscaping, repairs and even though broke myself, get them little random groceries they can't afford. But yeah, NJ is the absolute worst state. I pray for a miracle to move. 99% people here are self centered,self entitled, morons, with little compassion, no basic common sense.I am older myself, struggle to continue helping seniors, while the strong, young men watch me struggling as they hang out drinking and smoking weed all day Children are a reflection of their parents, so this says what inept, useless parents we have in NJ. They think it's all normal. Please keep me in your prayers, I will keep you in mine ♥️🙏

I was born in 57. My Dad and Mom raised us kids to go to the neighbors and just start helping when we even “thought” there might be a problem. They taught us by practicing that very thing. But this is the NEW AMERICA where no-one is willing to put forth an effort to help ANYONE but THEMSELVES! They are narcissistic, self-involved, entitled, spoilt brats in which they are raisingTHEIR kids to be the same. This NEW AMERICA does not stand a chance. So very SAD! Good job you did there. Thats hard work!
That’s a big corner property I’m sure lawn care is pretty expensive. If the homeowner had kept it up and it suddenly stopped seems like someone would care enough to check on their well-being. Thank you for another awesome job and for helping the homeowner.

I've done work for older people over the years. One thing I have found that you never know what another going through. I wouldn't be surprised to find an older person unable to take care of the property, or afford to pay someone to do it. You probably saved someone from a fine and then other problems. You are a good man.

Hate to say it, but communication is becoming a lost skill, not only could they (neighbors) come out and asked if you know your neighbor call them. One day the police won't be available for someone because they were checking on the lawn guy😐

I’m a white lady and I would’ve came over and brought you water or lemonade and told you thank you , but unfortunately that is no longer the norm. My husband and I took turns for apprx 15 years cutting our elderly neighbors lawn and it never occured to us to complain. The nice thing also, when we were moving the new neighbors on the other side of our neighbor took over mowing the elderly ladies lawn. No one asked them, they just took over. I love the good your doing for people all over, not just your neighbor ❤❤
