    Izzy was getting a coffee from a place next to my house, he must have been heading to the airport to go fight Jan, he gave me his time to take a photo and I’m forever grateful for that, Izz is such a nice guy and polite and was so good about me stopping him that day. Love your work my bro

      that cringy persona you mention is all for show to promote the fights coz like he says he has a soft side to him and a big heart fighters like that need to project an almost caricature of them as a hard no fucks given fighter mainly to get in the correct headspace to beat up another human for 25 mins ...this interview shows his true self and to me hes a great human being a normal guy who has dedicated his life to MMA and just happened to become one of the GOATS, plus now hes older lost a couple fights and not the champ with a target on his back he can relax more emotionally and really enjoy life and fighting with zero pressure and BS

      It's his fault, for all the things people make fun of him for I first thought "That's so ridiculous it can't be true", and it was all true. Even destiny likes to make fun of him, in his interview talking about Alex, he says that Alex was going to be at a bar saying "I beat that guy one time" and years later, in the Might Mouse podcast, which is a bar setting, he came to the realization that the very fate he wished for Alex came true for him.

    Didn't like Israel when he first came out a bit cocky for my tastes but after watching his first episode on JRE and seen his human side, completely adore him and became a massive fan.     "I couldn't beat some nerd in pajamas." To be fair, Izzy is one of the few striking purists who made it to the top without a robust grappling background. That hole in his game wasn't really exposed until he fought Jan, largely because of the size discrepancy.
