I love that your videos remind me to be mindful. I’m working my way to have just linen and cotton in my fabric stash. My taste and values have changed in the past few years so I have a semi abundance of quilting cottons which I am trying to use up by giving some to friends to use and pass some on to others and by making quilts for project Linus. I put some of my tiniest linen and cotton scraps in our compost but I may start just burying them in my husband’s vegetable garden! It’ll make me feel like I’m actually feeding the little earth beings that live in my backyard ☺️ I love your idea for using grocery bags for mailers! I’ll have to remember that 👍🏼 Your aesthetic continues to inspire me 😍 with every video!
It was fun to hear my name when you were talking about people to whom you were sending orders out to.... Looking forward to receiving my order of linen scrapes. Working on a lap quilt with linen pieces so your fabric will be a nice addition to it! Merry Christmas!
How fun to watch a video of you preparing the scrap bundle I just received! I love them. I’ve taken a class with Emma Freeman but I didn’t know you were connected. I also buried a handmade book once - when I dug it up, every trace was gone. Honest! I guess I left it too long in the wet ground. Looking forward to using your scraps. Many thanks for your thoughtfulness and generosity.
There’s an entire community of people doing fabric books! You should take a look! I have only made two, but I love them. They are delightful. Different fabrics, different purposes. One of my books is a sample book from a workshop on ink to fabric techniques. I love that little book.
Where are you shipping from? Here in Canada we have a postal strike and currently only receiving courier parcels. Excellent idea of little books! Thanks for the link.
I wonder if Emma Freeman has thought about donating some of her linen books to an autistic child. I think they would be so enriching for them to hold, feel and see each different page.
So fun to hear my order mentioned!🥰. I love my scarves!!!!❤❤❤
I even use my linen dryer fuzz as stuffing for puppets!
