Hi Ryan Is it ok to have some vegan protein powder, i am losing about 300-500 gram per week i logg everything in my Lifesum app, which tells me that i dont reach my recomended protein per day. I dont worry to much about it but my whitings app which track my weight etc says Im losing muscel and that i dont like. Im a small woman trying to reach 60kg Im now at 70kg iv lost 4.5kg so far. I eat plantbased wholefood same food you recomend!
Congratulations first of all! Well done for all your progress so far! Great to hear. A fairly clean protein powder is absolutely acceptable in my book yes! Whether it’s necessary for you to get adequate protein, I would say “no”, not for most people. I very rarely have protein powder. It can be a very easy way to get a little bump of protein though.
Thanks for the video. I’m trying to cut down to upper 130 lbs at 5’10” and currently at 150 lbs so I can be at my target marathon race weight. I’ve been hitting macros of around 15-20% protein, 65-70% carbs and 10-15% fat.
Another awesome video Ryan and you have just debunked the myth that protein isn't available on a vegan plant based diet but there are plenty of sources of protein as you have shown. Yummy 😋 food and love 🥰 the video. Love ❤ Ryan.
Love the Vegan tips. I am trying to lose weight (according to NHS my BMI is healthy, but I want to tone as I have gained fat around my belly), and gain a little bit of muscle (when I say this I mean ''tone'' I don't want complete muscle on my legs or arms, just enough to tone it). I think it may be difficult to achieve this when losing weight and trying to gain muscle but I am going to up my protein intake along with the calorie deficit. ALSO - Lupin Flour is great calorie to protein, at 373 kcal to 46 grams of protein - I haven't used it for anything yet, but just thought i'd mention!
Ryan! Looking jacked, sir! Thank you for all your help.
thanks Mike

yes lupin beans are really rich in protein - great point thank you
I was under the impression that all plants are conplete proteins and contain all 9 essential amino acids in varying amounts
Yes - and the varying amounts is the discussion point. Some foods have such small amounts of some AAs that some people would consider them incomplete.
