This has been a great series. Really interesting to see all the details and behind-the-scenes work and learn why things happen the way they do. Keep it coming!
Any such detailed effort (in which LAFD would rarely be involved) typically takes place only with the express guidance and oversight of environmental experts, who generally do not introduce non-native species into our regional wildland areas. Though our Forest Service partners have many unique aspects to their rehabilitation efforts on Federal lands, we do believe the article linked below gives interesting insight into what work Burned Area Emergency Response (BAER) and Rehabilitation Teams may be directed to perform in some situations: www.fs.fed.us/naturalresources/watershed/burnedareas-background.shtml We look forward to Mother Nature bringing the footprint of the May 2021 #PalisadesFire back to balance.
