I'm talking of "This Calling" btw.. This song is more complicated ^^ But mostly because it is brilliant made up, seriously.. The double bass in the pre-chorus (I think) is so awesome and unique kinda..
The drums are simple.. Very indeed. But it's fast, yah.. The rolls, beats, fills and the whole song together is so easy to remember and so on ^^ But Death metal is more complicated to remember I guess.. I don't listen to Death Metal but rhythm changes are so freakin hard.. but this is more simple than death metal drumming IMO..
What is he cymbal is he hitting during the chorus? during the pre-chorus 1:35-1:51 i can kinda tell he's hitting a china cymbal. but during the chorus, it sounds like a china cymbal too, just lower pitched. Does Jason Costa have two china cymbals, or is he hitting like a kind of splash? Just asking cuz i play drums and wanna get the right cymbals to play this correctly.

@@snapascrew 😂😂 I get it now I must have read it wrong. One thing I can assure is that they did use a trigger like mentioned but like all of Jasons drumming they don’t entirely replace his stems with samples, just layered for effect. I use this same method when mixing drums. I love that though, Glenn. 😂😂😂😂 Too true!

I love this simple style of drumming.. Like This Calling is the MOST SIMPLE SONG ON DRUMS EVAAR! srsly.. I'm a drummer, and its so simple.. Just fast , and it sounds awesome.. Keep it simple
well i just googled " Rock Band Two Weeks download" then (i dont know in what page i downloaded it) i downloaded a programm like "OGG to MP3" then because this song is in Rock Band 2 or 1 it have a file called drums and with the programm i downloaded just converted the "drums.ogg" to drums.mp3

IMO Very underrated drummer. He uses double bass different then most that I have heard and he plays the old school way with his left drum stick held like a chop stick lol
Go to google and search for All that remains two weeks .mogg and look for a file with .mogg then after you download it open it in Audacity. Audacity is free.
