I am currently a MGFX Supervisor and compositor . What I experienced is we will not learn major things in institutes .That is just 5% of production knowledge which they teach.but For basic and a Start it is litlle important to learn basic things

Let me tell you the truth buddy i think you have not applied for any company and to be honest just check any companies job description of any designation related to vfx
You’ll see a experience certificate as well as graduation degree written on it
I’m working in a vfx company from past 1 year with specialist in cg compositing just because i have degree as well as good portfolio i got this job and about the all software part
In 3 years in my Uni they taught several software by the learning curve means from traditional painting to cg compositing
But at the end of the year we have to choose our elective as well as specialisation which leads to the designation we are trying to achieve
The process of learning every software is to learn the full pipeline in and out as well as getting comfortable in a software which is going to be chosen for the specialisation
As a zero knowledge-guy people can learn from several youtubers like you but they can’t add a single project as there portfolio/showreel as those things are also checked by the companies that the portfolio is original or made by watching tutorials
Bro try to get more info about industry then conclude your thoughts dont miss lead people here…

There is no worthy institute in india, i am in this industry since 2001 that's why i can say so confidently. All are waste of time and money. Best is to learn online with foreign vfx sites.
