Really enjoyed you and Kippy "working" together. May she rest in peace. Love your portrait of her too. I'm rewatching this episode while taking notes because this old 'farmboy' lost even his patio as he had his black cat Jinx just moved.
Hi Summer! Thank you for doing a video with Kippee. 🐓 I always enjoy seeing her. The repotting was fun to watch, too. It's nice that you film your whole process and don't cut out "problems" that you come across. Thank you for sharing! And please, more videos with Kippee.
Great video Summer :) I really like that you show the process and thinking behind a particular repotting. And show where you're putting it and why, how you worked combining the two same plants, the real nitty gritty. I think it's a mistake to leave that stuff out of a video repot, at least all the time. It's great to see the little problems/issues that come up during a repot, etc. Also, very relaxing to watch you repot, you're so calm, thanks!
Kippee you be as ornery as you want pretty girl! Adjusting for proportions I say that if I had to pass a grapefruit out my other end I'd be pretty cranky too. 🐔😊💕
Thanks Summer this was a relaxing video to watch. Kippee is just so fun, I am amazed at how she just runs around your place and your patience with her is neat to watch. I love your videos, filled with so much useful information. See you in your next video, bye for now.
For a pot to put a plant in I found a very nice tissue holder. Turn it upside down put a plastic water catcher in the bottom where the hole is and used it for a plant. Very nice.
This made my morning potting alot more fun and wow that glazed saucer is a great tip. I'll keep my eye out for them. Thank you Summer I love watching you pot away in your home :)
Omg I LOVE Kippee! So cute how she picks at the perlite. 💚 I will be in NYC on 6/9-6/10 and would absolutely love to meet you and film a video for my RUclips channel if you’re interested!? (Or is that weird? Lol) I just love your channel and would love to do a little mini interview with you on houseplants. Let me know... or tell me to get lost.... whichever is more appropriate. 😊
I would live to join your plant swap. I went to one of my nursery asking if they know of any plant swaps in our area. They said they would ask around. Which u was excited about. I don't have Facebook either. I love your plants. What a peaceful looking atmosphere. Thanks
*She is so connected to nature. Keeping over 800+ plants already with a chicken...Most People can not even take care of 1 single plant while keeping a pet*
Hey Summer! What is your favorite brand of soil when you repot? I’ve heard gnarly things about miracle grow but don’t have a lot of other options where I live. Do you buy yours online?
Summer, What do you do with your plastic pots once you have repotted your plants into terracotta or ceramic pots? In my area in N H, we cannot recycle the plastic pots, even though they have the recycle logo.
Seeing you slip pot instead of changing out the soil entirely stresses me out. Nooo, the compacted old soil is going to cause issues eventually! I am speaking as a succulent person, though, so my view on slip potting may not apply to plants that are less from arid environments. For succulents it's an absolute must to bare root them when you buy them, as they're usually sold in just peat with maybe a touch of perlite, and that'll either hold too much water and rot out your plant, or if it's old, it'll get super hydrophobic and compacted and dehydrate your plant.
Could you give me some help on stag horn plants. Mine are drying out. I have them in very little soil in a pot with burlap around them. I really enjoy watching your vlogs
I'm new to them myself so take my advice with a grain of salt, but the one I've had for a few months is growing and thriving. How often are you watering? Unlike most ferns, they like to dry out. I have mine mounted on cork bark with moss packed around the roots and the bit of original soil I left on, and I water once a week. There are some at my work (in a greenhouse) that get watered a couple times a week and are in moss in a pot with no drainage, so they stay very moist, and they're all miserable.
@@cooperolm9687 at first I sprayed it with water every few days. Then I tried dipping the leaves in water every few days. Then one of the plants was sitting on my fish tank which one reef dip down in the water all the time. That plan seems to be doing good so far. Does have a few leaves I need to remove. The other two I have are not doing very well at all.
She made a whole video about it, but basically she has a spreadsheet she uses to keep track of where they all are and the last time she fertilized them, etc
I have my plants separated around the house depending on their lighting needs and watering schedule. This group gets water twice a week that group gets watered once a week etc. With over 50 plants it was getting confusing until I separated them according to watering needs
Every video I've seen of her chicken indoors, I think the same thing! It's a cute chicken but I keep mine outside because chickenshit all over your house is nasty!
Aren't begonias poisonous for animals? I would never dare to put them near my cats. (Even though they never munch my plants.) Either chickens are different or Kippee must have a gut of steel. I really love how you two live together. But sometimes I am sorry for Kippee, as she has to live a life without other chickens.
Yes that's something that she rarely addresses is the poisonousneds of some house plants. Fiddle plants put poison into the air every night and yet so many people have them and allergies, they take a pill instead of figuring out why. Hardly any house plant channels on RUclips go over the dangers of the plants because some of them are poisonous, if not to adults then certainly to animals and children.

I really love your videos but I have to say that I particularly enjoy Kippee. I would very quickly like+subscribe to a channel called "Plants with Kippee feat. Summer Rayne"
Thanks to your camera person for showing lots of Kippie. What a little cutie she is. 🐓 🥚
I think this is my fave video of Summer to date haha. It's just so calming and reminds me of simpler times.

Omg Kippee is just like my dogs. They are always under and around my feet, curious as to what I’m doing and constantly wanting to help.
I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who can get a little sidetracked while repotting!

This is a really good video. I watched it twice already. Would you consider a video on the plant box you have with the trellis?
Oh the patience you poses Summer! Are those eggs on the counter from Kippee? These videos are always an inspiration to continue my hobby. Thank you!
Omg I LOVE Kippee! So cute how she picks at the perlite. 💚

Im jealous of your pots! Arghh 🙀
Hi Kippee!!! :)
Hi Summer. You mentioned plant swaps in a previous video. As I recall, there was one in California? Can you tell me where? It is an annual event?
*She is so connected to nature. Keeping over 800+ plants already with a chicken...Most People can not even take care of 1 single plant while keeping a pet*
You'd be surprised what you're able to do if you're willing to put in the effort, clearly some people aren't willing to put in the effort!
My cat loved Kippee
That chicken is funny.
Very nice
Cool .

I m having only 70 and tough to watering them in summers
How u r managing

Chicken here in philipines eat the foliage of the plant...😅
I'm a little disturbed that the opening ad to this video was for KFC 😳😳😳

Appalled is watching The Beautician and the Beast, she feeds her pet chicken - chicken!
Woo first I have never clicked so fast in my life 😂
Do you have problems with Kippie chewing up your plants?
Yes. Sometimes she'll go on a rampage... She mows over Maidenhair in seconds; as well as Marantaceae...epipremnum
How old are your euphorbia millii
Don t you get the roots loose first🤔👵🏼🍀
Can you combine some of your plants and have less little pots!
How does your chicken not poop everywhere!?
Every video I've seen of her chicken indoors, I think the same thing! It's a cute chicken but I keep mine outside because chickenshit all over your house is nasty!
that filming area is so dark!
for a second i thought it was the last episode of game of thrones

Mine Line she hangs out with other chickens at the retirement home coop

I am repeating myself..you need a potting bench
for real, my back hurts.
Yes I can imagine
does kippee poop everywhere or is she potty trained?
Ellen Yan probably poops where she wants

Kippee wants earthworms!
