That was the relevance of this video, Shaw Brothers was the "Stepping stone" for practically everyone in the industry, So these actors doing it without them is amazing. RESPECT!
Bruce Lee might fit this topic. In a book I have on martial arts movies, it's mentioned that he was supposedly making a deal with SB to shoot a period piece, and that promo stills existed. This is likely a reference to "The Rebellious Reign, which he was going to be doing when he died. There does exist one photo of him which is featured on the cover of one DVD release of the 1980 film.
Yeah this list fits very well. Billy chong and alexander lou where probaly too late to become actors in a shaw movie. Thanks god all of the ten in this list have made classic movies with other companys.
A thing that I admire from all these men and women of old school wuxia movies is they all are TRUE kungfu / wushu artists ! At the very least, they trained properly in the martial arts. Their moves are fluid, powerful, and believable. Action stars of modern era can, and shall learn a lot from the way they conduct and shoot fighting scenes
Was surprised to see Chan sing,Cliff Lok,Meng Fei,Chang I even Li yi min in shaw productions. These were well Known names on the independent scene!
