I have followed the Turkey women's team since the start of this year mainly to see Gunes play. Vargas is a beast. Some players will probably have all the qualities that she has. But she beats all of them in her ability to twist and move her hand direction wherever she likes. That's a very difficult trait to perfect. That makes her able to find insane angles and hit it there. I say this because I am a volleyball player.

Idk but vargas is like bosko and egonu combined. Bosko for great angles and power and consistency, egonu for height/reach, and accuracy placing with power. She rarely gets checked nor error.

Which makes it very difficult to defend., especially when she switches direction at the last second. Wow,. She reminds me of the Cuban Womens Team from the 90's. It was a whole team of them like her. Mireya Luis was the mentor of Vargas, according to an interview Vargas did when she was 15 or 16. Apparently Mireya Luis helped to train them, Vargas lists her as her idol. You look at Vargas, you see a lot of Mireya Luis in her. The difference is that Vargas is 6'4, where as Mireya Luis was 5'9
