Lmao Taeil doesn't give old vibes since he's soft and cute and approachable and doesn't do a lot of disciplining. Johnny is that young, sometimes cringy, bit overall lovable dad. Taeyoung is definitely parent material but also has some baby tendencies, not to mention he's more of a chill leader and nanny than parent a lot of times. Yuta is the coolest uncle you could ever have and sometimes you wonder what it would be like to have him as a dad. Doyoung is also very parental but loves to diss everyone and talks about being lazy. Ten, the maknae of the parent line (7th oldest out of the 21) is well... you already know 😂. Everyone from Jaehyun to Jaemin are pretty much older brother material who know how to handle and befriend kids but still have a ways to go before they can feel like parents. YangYang, Chenle, and Jisung being very chaotic maknaes who have been maturing a lot but haven't had the chance to really take care of someone younger.
But Kun, my god. Who else gives you the vibe that they are utterly dependable, capable and reliable to a fault? That they would let you off even if you do something wrong because, as it has been quoted many times, they have the patience of a saint? That they could fix anything that goes wrong? (He did save a building by putting out Haechan's fire lol) That they would intervene and help you with something if they saw you struggling? That they would raise you with every fiber of their being, with every sacrifice it would take along the way, without a word of complaint or ever deliberately making you feel bad about how much trouble you've been to them? That they are predictable, but in a way that reassures you that everything will be okay? (Admittedly a lot of the parent line and the more responsible seeming hyungs have a few of those qualities, NCT raises A-class young men with personalities that you wouldn't fear introducing to your friends and family 👌)
Kun is the epitome of an ideal parent. Consistent, caring, patient, reliable Kun is someone who deserves every good thing in the world but goddamn the one thing he keeps missing out on is respect from his team mates. Not in the sense that they don't look up to him or regard him well, but that they all have no problem making fun of him and he makes it so easy for all of them anyway. They know how he'll react, and they know that this guy doesn't make good comebacks (I'm sorry Kun, I will hype you up forever but I will not lie about this), and he's just a sweetheart who endures a lot from everyone. He deserves so much better but he's just so much fun to make fun of that the cheekier ones can't resist taking every opportunity they get to make fun of him and it was just his luck to constantly get saddled with ones who are the most likely to make a jab at him. From the 96 line to the Dreamies to WayV, they guy can't ever catch a break 😂 It's like SM goes out of its way to keep him separated from the chill ones. It feels like the last time he successfully made fun of someone was when he and the rest gave Mark an awkward silence during the foreign line special 😂
