The SK270SRLC-7, a perfect addition to DM Groundworks' existing Kobelco fleet, stands out with its compact tail swing design, superior production, and lifting figures. The introduction of the EU stage V compliant 4-cylinder Yanmar engine ensures smoother power delivery, reduced engine noise, and lower fuel consumption, contributing to extended replacement times of the DPF and reduced downtime costs.
Karl Reilly, the skilled operator entrusted with the SK270SRLC-7, has been amazed by the excavator's performance. The quieter cab now features a user-friendly jog dial, enhancing ease of navigation and attachment settings. Additional storage compartments, a DAB radio, and a revised switch layout add to the comfort and convenience for the operator. Karl has highlighted the exceptional control, thanks to Kobelco's Independent Travel function, allowing smooth and constant movement even during simultaneous use of multiple functions.
During a recent project near Stamullen, north of Dublin, Karl experienced the increased torque of the SK270SRLC-7, effortlessly excavating stubborn materials. The excavator's stability, especially with the additional counterweight, impressed Karl during full-stretch operations. The precise controls facilitated easy topsoil grading, leaving a perfectly leveled surface.
