Bleach is back with another banger episode Ichigo vs Byakuya fight seems to have finally started and Ichigo uses his Bankai for the first time against Byakuya. As always it was fun reacting to Bleach Anime.

Not at all. Kuchiki very much wanted Ichigo to save Rukia, so he obviously held back. Both kuchiki and kenpachi could annihilate Ichigo actually going serious. He only surpasses them deep into the arrancar arc where he eventually uses final getsuga tensho.

Byakuya refuses to believe that Tensa Zangetsu is indeed a bankai, because it looks no different from a regular zampakto that other shinigamis have. Normally bankai is supposed to be an upgraded version of the zampakto, hence look different too. But there is nothing "normal" when it comes to Ichigo in the first place. He was not supposed to be a shinigami. He's someone who goes against all the laws and rules. That's why his original sword form is huge, and bankai looks like an ordinary sword. As if ichigo just straight up saying "I'm here to break all rules and change the norms. Fight me."

Zangetsu is not even his shinigami power/part. The current Tensa Zangetsu or his bankai is only a fraction of this real power which Zangetsu is intentionally suppressing......

In TYBW it is revealed that this is just his Quincy powers (the old man) releasing a larger portion of his powers than his "shikai" form. His shinigami half isn't even active right now, and so he's basically running on his Quincy and hollow powers, pretending to be shinigami powers. If his full powers were awakened and he were using his true bankai, Byakuya would have been instantly killed. He can take out beings like Yhwach and the Soul King in one hit--Byakuya at this point barely registers on the power scale compared to them.

@@ammaribrahim7902 He uses Blut in the Kenpachi fight, but Zangetsu limits his powers because he doesn't want Ichigo to use those powers and make himself a target.
Ichigo's first *BANKAI* hits way different 🔥
The whole thing about Ichigo is that he can't control his own Spiritual Pressure (kinda like Kenpachi). What his sword does in both it's stages is simply wield that immense power.
His shikai uses that power to land stronger blows and blast off the Getsugatensho. Meanwhile his Bankai improves that effect while also distributing that power through his own body, giving him more fighting prowess.
It's a very simplistic power, because Ichigo is a very simplistic person, and in the end all Zanpakutos are an extension of their owner's soul.
I dont think you realize Ichigo's Bankai is literally Drip. He gets a whole new sword and new shihakusho (outfit) that condenses his spiritual pressure and gives him an explosive edge.
That's dope if you ask me.

thats actually not a bankai, its a miniscule level of his complete bankai and same goes for Renji, his is also an incomplete version of his bankai
You can describe Ichigo Bankai as "less is more". And it looks soo COOL! Bankai state doesnt mean the person who use it is gonna get a huge armor or something like that (it depends of the power from borh the Soul Reaper and zampakutou).

Among anime moments, this was definitely an example of an opponent that could have wrecked the MC if he didn't give time to charge up.
Byakuya didn't fight at full strength because he underestimated Ichigo.
Ichigo is my favorite but even I'm mad that he took on Byakuya's bankai with his shikai. He took a lot of unnecessary damage by doing that. I know it's in his character to do things like this but he is already patched up form training.

The thing on Ichigos Bankai is not a swastika, I think its called Bon and it a Religious symbol in Buddhism, very disrespectful comparison to its warped German/Nazi counterpart.

Swastika and a german hooked cross are different things. Swastika is a symbol from Hinduism and the word itself comes form Sanskrit, so technically it makes sense to call that thing in the show with it’s correct terminology. Also, if you saw German’s hooked cross you know that it has a big difference in how it’s angle a bit shifted in the comparison to the original symbols.
@@skyrider11910 The hooked cross is a swastika; it's just the German version of it. The swastika appears in almost every human culture around the world. The symbol is extremely old; even appearing in pre-historic petroglyphs, it likely predates civilization.
That's not a swastika, it is called manji. 卍 it is a buddhist symbol. The swastika is reversed and on an angle.
Byakuya's Bankai is just Part 1 Gaara mode. Stands there and lets the sand/petals do all the work for him
Ichigo's first bankai reveal was the most hype moment of Bleach for me. The twist of his bankai being this compressed, small sword compared to the other big bankais was so unexpected
Ichigo really does just make a bad habit of spitting on millennia of tradition within the Soul Society early on.
He steals a Soul Reaper's powers, loses them, awakens his own Soul Reaper powers, infiltrates the main HQ of Soul Reapers, Goes toe to toe with a Lieutenant, give one of the strongest captains such a good fight they become allies/friends, reaches Bankai in three days, and ALL OF THAT happens in less than a single fucking year.
Man is literally breaking molds, and he hasn't even reached his final form. It's ridiculous, and it's why I personally think he's the best protag out of the Big Three.

just to state, in case you dont already know, byakuya is a fighter leages above ichigo at this point. Its a mix of his own confused feelings about whats happening, underestimating ichigo and what ichigos bankai does that allow ichgio to close the gap. Ichigos greatly enhances all phyciacal attriputes that he has, while most other bankai dont

The reason Ichigo´s Tensa Zanmgetsu guard looks like a Nazi symbol is because the Kanji for Bankai in Japonese starts with that symbol
Except, it's not the nazi symbol, it's a swastika and comes from buddhism.
the biggest reason is actually that symbol true meaning being from Buddism

in this normal version. the true bankai is when he fights with a bunch of swords

It is only explained in the extra data books, but the chain is actually invisible and is connected to his shihakusho, hence they are both the bankai. That is why when he turns into the horned Vasto Lorde form he "pulls" Tensa Zangetsu from meters away into his hand. It is always connected to the robe. You can get a clue about this when he goes into bankai, as the bandage of the sword wraps his arm.

The swastika was an Indian thing too before it was used by the Germans for the wrong reasons, and had a completely different meaning.
