Been RR3 racing for a few years. Recently noticed how the bots as you are passing tend to dive at you. Is this new? Or did I just not see it before? Thanks for all your videos over the years!
It really depends on the track. COTA for example, is a really strange track. Definitely a place where you can have bots taking you out, doing weird things. It’s not that they’re actually trying to take you out. It’s that the race line they are programmed to take is just really dumb (to be honest). When I’m in traffic there, I have to drive it very strange to avoid getting hit. There are turns like that on other tracks, but COTA is by far the worst. Another oddity is endurance races. If you pass a car just as it’s entering a braking zone, it will release off the brakes and coast until it disappears. Sometimes that means taking a corner at a very high speed and causing some carnage. They had to fix endurance races several times through the years and this is about as good as it’s been since update 8.0. Going back about four or five years ago, bot programming was actually a lot more aggressive. Say you’re passing a bit on the outside and there’s a wall there. In the old programming, the bot would smash you into the wall. Now, for the most part, the bot will recognize you’re there and alter its line to leave you alone. I’ve noticed this behaviour even when entering corners. That is at the majority of tracks and corners. Not all of course.
I know exactly what you’re talking about. I talked about it in the video a bit. That’s when you’re hitting them too hard. You need to be pretty close to them, brake just a little bit too late to gently shove them out of the race line. It works best if you’re just a a few lengths away at the most. If you’re quite far back and you hit them with a lot of speed, it’s basically like hitting a wall. Especially if they’ve already slowed down a substantial amount.
ME7: I know Melbourne is a fictional track in the game, but if it were a real life racing track on the streets of Melbourne, Australia with the exact same route and road width as in the game, what type of cars racing would be allowed in it, bearing in mind all the real life rules on driver safety and everything else? I don't think Formula 1 would be allowed as they are too fast and it would be far too dangerous having F1 cars attempt to pass each other at speed. Maybe Formula E?
That’s an interesting thought! I think Formula One would be okay. Marina Bay has some longer high speed sections. It gets very narrow at Anderson bridge. They’d have to add more safety features like they do on some street circuits. I guess it is narrow for the most part though. Well I don’t know about F1. Formula E for sure would be fine.
@@ME7_RR3I said no to Formula 1 because of towards the end of the lap, you got a straight, then about 20 yds sharp to the left and another small straight and after 2 left turns at the beginning of the lap and you got the squeeze through the narrow gap where many in-game races smash both all the walls. Imagine Max Verstappen, Lando Norris, Lance Stroll, Charles Leclerc, Lewis Hamilton and others with their racing history all on the track trying to pass each other? We get safety cars each race week on Formula 1 already. And the closest track to this for me would be Monaco rather then Marina Bay. Monaco is like a pinball machine with magnet walls for me
It got shut down a couple of years ago now. Unfortunately there were way too many people that were hacking and cheating. Honest teams would put in 8 to 10 hours only to have that count for very little because a hacker would do it in 5 minutes. Unlike time trials, it was incredibly difficult to figure out who was hacking and who was putting in huge amounts of time. They tried bringing it back with different cheating and hacking detections, but it didn’t work. I’m pretty sure we’ll never see it return.
you just seem like you have the ability to make races more fun by showing and telling us how to have some fun by....violently crashing into random people? anyways, i really appreciate that!👍
Hi ME7... I still think the garnage you did at Bathhurst with the other Koenigsegg with no brakes and the throttle on full made me laugh more than this one.. The boss of Koenigsegg would like to see you in his office again.. Re.. this little goingins on here 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂..
@Msfiona69 LOL, that was a really crazy one. You actually can’t do that at most tracks. Like at Melbourne, I’d get stuck at the chicanes and at multiple corners. It was fun though.
@@Msfiona69 i think mine is worse at Spa. i crashed my Koenigsegg countless of times, reckless driving and pit manuever and the car hits the rest of the pack. all of that because i got a little too bored.

I do a lot less crashing than I used to. However, when they stick a hypercar in a tight street circuit… it’s kind of a recipe for disaster.😅
