I was given TS-SBI, SI & SCI - wonder if the other layers beyond TS involved more background checking?

I had some debt over the last few years. Trying to get a secret clearance for the Navy. I hope this doesn’t affect anything…

I’m a third generation American but with Middle Eastern roots. I’ve even lived over there as a kid with people who despised America. I love my country and would never betray it but would those two factors potentially hamper my chances of obtaining a secret clearance to become a drone pilot in the Army?

I’m a naturalized citizen. But I lived in India for a bit for high school and I used to travel there often. Would that affect my chances of getting a secret clearance?

If you're still wondering this, short answer, as long as you are open & honest about it then it should not. What really hampers your chances is if you knowingly lie because they will see that you did in the background checks.

Can you get a Top Secret if at some point you took an antidepressant? No suicidal thoughts or anything. Just having that on record, as well as not having contact with many people like family or any friends. Not much contact info. Would that disqualify someone?

Hello is it normal for security clearance to take over 12 months? And is that is another way to find out if I’m approved other than the hiring company?

Yes they can I’ve been under investigation for over 6 months. They even pulled a parking ticket from 2010.

Do you think providing the areas if concern information to socialist, radicals and terrorist are assisting them to circumvent Adjudicative Guidelines and Federal Investigative Standards? Just asking for all Adjudicators out there.

The government itself is transparent about what criteria result in security clearance denial. Awareness isn't more likely to result in a spy or radical infiltrating the process, I'm afraid. But hopefully the Trusted Workforce 2.0 effort and continuous vetting programs are a step in the right direction.
