    I just found your Insta and then RUclips channel by chance on the internet and I'm so happy I did! I'm transitioning from the Japanese strengthening back to my curly hair again...well, "curly" I said but it was mostly freeze hair and this is why I did the Japanese treatment which I'm so regretting right now...sniff..sniff. I was thinking about chopping it off but now that I saw one of your videos about how you struggled with the same problem, I'm optimist that I can bring my beautiful curls back. I'll do my best, wish me luck - I LOVE your hair, you're so beautiful! Greetings from Texas -USA

      Hi Grisel! Nice to see you here! Please note that chemically treated hair does NOT go back to their original texture. You will need to cut them off slowly (or quickly via the 'Big Chop') and learn to groom your new curls better. I've explained better here- thecuriousjalebi.com/2017/02/22/how-to-get-back-your-curls-after-chemical-straightening-heat-damage/

    Hey.. Thanks for making videos on curly routine and it really helping me out.
    Want to ask you question
    1. Hair mask and deep Conditioning is same, then how to apply hair mask I saw your DIY u have shampoo ur hairs n then u applied hair mask. And while following ur deep Conditioning videos u washed it with water. So which steps should I follow?
    2. I have already started using Cg friendly shampoo I haven't used pantene lively clean shampoo before following curly routine. Will it b okay?

    • @TheCuriousJalebi
      @TheCuriousJalebi  4 года назад

      Hair mask/ Deep conditioner/hair spa usually mean the same.
      1. Either shampoo, rinse, hair mask/deep conditioner, comb, rinse, style
      OR
      2. wet hair, hair mask/deep conditooner, comb, rinse, apply little shampoo, rinse, style
      Some people prefer second way if their hair is loose curly or more wavy but most prefer first as shampoo cleanses hair well and gets it ready for the deep conditioner to penetrate better.

    • @TheCuriousJalebi
      @TheCuriousJalebi  4 года назад

      No, best to not apply on the scalp. And yes you can use coconut oil for SOTC but be very cautious with the amount. Too much and it will leave your curls greasy. I usually prefer lighter oils like almond, jojoba to SOTC

    • @TheCuriousJalebi
      @TheCuriousJalebi  4 года назад +1

      Rinse with normal water, because you shampooed before deep conditioning. Some wavies prefer to deep condition first and then shampoo, since their hair can get weighed down. Try both and see what results you like better if you're unsure.

    • @TheCuriousJalebi
      @TheCuriousJalebi  5 лет назад

      Layers usually go well with curls. Take reference pics with you when you go for a hair cut, try to go to a good salon and choose a senior hairstylist. They are less likely to trick you into chemical treatments. Also, Understand how much your curls shrink after drying so when they do cut it wet (most salons in India don't know how to Dry Cut), you can incorporate how short it will actually look when it dries.

    Hi I have a very long frizzy and curly hair. Can I just use shampoo and then use a conditioner (for 30mins) and rinse off with water. Is it important to use a leave in conditioner or curl cream? I want to reduce the frizz and somewhat defined curls. Can you suggest me some good conditioners for deep conditioning my hair without using a leave in?

    • @TheCuriousJalebi
      @TheCuriousJalebi  3 года назад +1

      See, using conditioner like this will reduce frizz but you need some sort of leave in (if you have very curly hair) that keeps hair moisturised for the 2-3 days you don't wash it and leave it dry. I find using some sort of leave in (you can just DIY it, mix 1 part conditioner in a spray bottle and add 3 parts water and use that, make DIY Flaxseed gel at home) really helps to create more definition and reduce frizz.
