You are in your stride. There is a lot of ground you cover without it dragging in a well-constructed arc. The only thing you didn't cover that I was looking for was audio rate signals going into the fold amount. But as you said, the video could go on for an hour but you gotta call it at some point.
It would be great to see a detailed use of the soft sync in this module.....a potential video idea could be to go into the distinctions of hard and soft sync? ;)
Hey man! I have a dumb question. I am a current owner and lover of the csl but I'm wondering what I'd be missing other than the internal routing if I replaced it with two of these bad boys. There's so much packed into 6hp I might be able to save some space. What are your thoughts?
Hello Amazing video as usual Ben 😉 I need your help ! Here is my problem : I currently have a Make Noise O'coast in my rack but i need to save space so im thinking to sell it... I really love the sound of the O'coast specially the (VCO/multiply/overdrive) part. Before selling it i try to find the best way to reproduce this sound with a less hp VCO. I have also a Make Noise STO but i dont obtain the same spirit with him... Hearing your Instruo Tsl démo remind me the O'coast 😳 maybe im wrong but can be the solution im looking for. - Do you think my hears are right ? - Do you think the tsl is better than the Make Noise STO ? I know for sure than the waveshape part is way better and complex on the instruo. Thanks in advance.
this looks really cool i just wish it was bigger. vcos like original dixie/dixie2 where the only onboard waveshaper is PWM seem perfectly usable in 4-6hp because there arent really any parameters that u might wanna control in real time, u can just plug in a v/oct and affect the signal externally, but id love to manually manipulate those fold/symmetry/pw/triangle knobs manually in performance and just cant see myself doing it. i guess u could get around this by mixing it externally but then those extra controls feel redundant to me.
I guess that's why they're mini pots. With the idea that CV would be the main animation. Having a controller based module would be good to help with that. Lightstrips from Soundmachines are very very cheap and work well for that sort of thing. Rather than this be 4HP bigger I prefer to add 4HP with a lights trip next to it. I guess Tona (video will be live in a matter of minutes) would maybe be more suited. Hard to get everything right for a designer though, many people seem to like how many of these features are packed into a smaller space.
Now i think i want 4x of these. :D Imagine that ! Crazy !
4 would. indeed be amazing
Wow, that one is even nicer than I thought!
yeah Jason really engineers for sound and the feature set here adds a lot to a great sounding oscillator.
You are truly the master of module demos!
Thanks Robert, appreciate that. I'm just doing my thing as usual :)

Thanks so much Ben, I've learnt so much from you. This video helped me start exploring dynamic fm.
Great video as always dude. Man it sounds good! Reminds me a bit of STO but with the wavefolding instead of just varishape.
Yeah the bottom two animated waves and -1/-2 options for the sub take it up a gear.
man that thing sounds aggressive- love it
yeah its great
Hooray! Same day mine shipped out there's a DivKid video about it.
nice one Christopher :)
I'm in the market for a new Oscillator, this thing sounds dope.
I think you'd really like it, and Tona and the new Cs-L. Troika is great too to be fair.
Complex Osc sounds in so few hp!!’ AMAZING
yep then the new Cs-L looks crazy good!
Great vid (as usual)! This is one seriously awesome module. Oh boy I'm about to be out $300!
haha enjoy the module.

Awesome module and demo, thanks!
thanks Bart.
What an amazing oscillator! Just two could destroy a galaxy!!
yeah Jason is on fine form, great module.
Yeah. Well. I been looking to upgrade my cheap VCOs, and I think I'm done. Just gonna have a look at the Cs-L before I pull the trigger...
"Or we could drench it in reverb and make a drone.....I'm gonna drench it reverb" =P ....loool, love me some drones!
Yep, I’m sold.
This is definitely going to make an appearance in my case!
Robin Rimbaud-Scanner it's 6hp of pure Scottish BRILLIANCE!
Now that's a headline!!!!!!!
"6hp of pure Scottish BRILLIANCE" haha
@Robin haha, Oh, what case will that be?!! ;-)
time for a new case :-)
Yep it's a purchase. Great demo - What LPG were you using for the plucked sounds? They sounded pretty damn plucky!
That was the Rabid Elephant Natural Gate.

Your best shot is to try them both, see which you prefer. The website vcv rack is pretty good for testing modules you don't have.
Any advantage of having the CS-L vs 2 Ts-L's?? Thanks! W
ACE!
cheers
A stepped pyramid is called a mastaba...let's call it a Mastaba Wave.
Hahaha amazing. My go to name now.
Been wanting to know the price for a while, sounds good, cheers.
Orders are direct only still I believe. Although I think shops will have some soon.
I'm calling it the AZTEC wave
YES that's the name. Pharaoh wave, Aztec wave whole new world of synthesis is opening up here :)
Maybe it's the Lara Croft wave ;)
which cp3 mixer did you use or can you recommend?
When/where will this be available for purchase?
instruomodular.com direct at the minute
Thank you.
