NO DOUBT! I have the GT for several months. NOTHING beats the battery power! Nothing! My wife has the latest apple watch and has constant stress about the battery power. The GT put me up for almost 14 days with power!!!! And now I can even look at my blood oxygen. SpO. Fantastic feature! Nothing beats the Huawei GT2. Together with my Motorola G8, best Friends 🙂

I have a Huawei GT2 46mm with Amazon it Cost 340 CAD. I live in Vancouver, BC. I do alot of cayak, hiking and swimming, i use silicon for sports and leather for dating. I loove the design and battery life.

But if you have set a reminder on your phone and turn on notification for that reminder then you get the notification on your watch and it can vibrate or play a sound for that notification from the built in speaker of the watch. Yea as I said huawei are the best in terms of battery life and I have reviewed their watches too and to this date I havent found a watch that would beat huawei in battery life. The battery life is good about 3+ day. the battery is drained faster with GPS while outdoor running, wifi always on also drains battery and always on display is the killer with always only you will get max a day. Not so much with on wrist call or browsing. I'm very much a Samsung Person with the whole Samsung Eco system. I have the GW46mm which is an awesome watch and has served me well and still does but Black Friday Sales i was looking at both the GW3 & Huawei GT 2 and wait for it i chose the Huawei GT 2 ,,,,, why,,,, one thing,,,,, Battery Life, I care for that more than WiFi, NFC, Samsung Pay, Images, Music, 3rd Party Apps etc etc, ive never been one to keep Music, images or 3rd party apps on any smart watch either. My Main thing is all your daily Stats, Fitness, Sleep, BPM, Steps etc etc and the Huawei GT 2 has all that & for me its been AMAZING to date, even Huawei's Health App on my Note 20 Ultra has so far been flawless. To not have to charge my watch every 24 hours is Gold ;-) Im on my 5th day with the Huawei GT 2 and still at 60 % battery life,,,, WOW. This is the thing, in certain Galaxy Watch Groups im in, one thing people complain about is battery life and so many people will say turn this off, turn that off, turn AOD off lol, just to get an extra day of battery life on any GW, so in essence this is stupid why have all these features on a watch if you have to turn them all off just to get 2 max 3 days on a watch ?? It dont make sense lol. To me its all gimmicky. In Australia the GW3 costs $649 yep you read correct and it was NOT even on sale for the Black Friday Sales where in fact the Huawei GT 2 was $299 on Sale so for me its a no brainer ;-) in all fairness to the Huawei GT2 it has to be compared to a "like for like" Smart Watch, comparing it to an Apple Watch or Samsung Watch for its Features of coarse they will win hands down lol ;-) great Video none the less Cheers ;-)

Good video and comparison. However, like your other videos I have seen, you seem to not know where all the workout options are on the Samsung. There are way more than on the Huawei, including ones for individual weight lifting exercises, etc. The ones you showed in this video are only the auto-detection activities. I don’t mean to criticize. I just think it’s important for people watching and making a decision on which one to buy. Otherwise, great video.

The point I was trying to make over here was It does not auto detect gym based exercises, like if I were to just start doing an arm & back workout both the watches will not detect each moves, I have to manually select the moves; if you use fossil gen 5 it actually detects the movement like the difference between a lat pull down & a bench press. Nonetheless I haven't miss led any one, just informed that in terms of auto detection of exercise moves they won't self detect each moves. Thanks & I appreciate your input.

love your in depth reviews, you talk about more features than any other reviews i have watched. however i still cant decide between the 2, i have the samsung gear sport and its a great watch, however i think its time for an upgrade, im more drawn to the huawei watch as i have always had samsung smartwatches, though ive never seen the point in downloading apps for it, i just like using it for fitness and notifications, however i do like reading my messages on my watch too when my phone isnt near or i cannot be bothered lifting the phone. On the GT2 does the music app sync with the music from your phone (i use spotify on my phone) or can it only be used for downloaded music onto the watch?

Amazing video, just one question, is Huawei Watch GT2 compatible with other smartphones as well? I have a Huawei phone now, but in a year or two I will change it and move to something else because huawei doesn't support Google apps anymore. So can I use the watch with phones like OnePlus or Sony? Edit: also, I would pick Huawei watch any time because all the premium features on the Galaxy Watch like watching RUclips or twitter are pretty much useless. Like, who would use a watch to look at RUclips... I just need an amazing battery life and a good training, sleep, heart rate, and stress tracking. Your video helped me so much tho, thank you!

Garmins are great at fitness tracking but it does not have a built in speaker like active 2 bjt you can connect bluetooth speaker they both are same price but I would go with active 2 for the apps, built in speaker, LTE option more options with watchfaces etc.

Based on my experience after almost half a year of using active I am able to get 2 days which is way less compare to my huawei watch which is 2 weeks but Samsung actives battery is far better than other wear OS watch. I would say if you want to stick with Samsung active 2 is good. Also Samsung announced the active 3 which has a bigger battery than active 2 to be launched in Aug so you can wait & get active 3. From active 2 & GT 2 in terms of fitness tracking you will have more options with active 2 vs the GT 2 and I even like active 2 battery life with exercise tracking compared to other watches & active 2 has awesome apps & watchfaces so you can add other workout apps too. No other Smartwatch goes more than a week in terms of battery life. I already take the active 2 is overall a good smart watch for Samsung phones. But still Huawei watch GT 2 kills every watch in terms of battery life. On top of that it gets all the basic features like ability to see notifications, Fitness tracking options like heart rate spo2 and a ton of workout options. It also has a microphone and speaker to take Bluetooth audio calls directly from the watch, had 4gb of on board music storage and looks good and is cheaper than active 2. But important is, the 42 mm have No mic and No speaker.... Specialy for Woman is this a No Go. AND ... the RAM of the GT 2 is Not 2gb the Watch has only 32MB of RAM ... Samsungs 40mm have all specs Like the 44mm and this makes the active 2 in all the better smartwatch But the GT 2 ist also an amazing smartwatch, the battery Life is awsome. I Hope the GT 3 have all the Features Like the active 2 or Galaxy watch.

Why has no one picked up on the fact that Samsung misleads on the display size? They publish 1.4 inch, but it is at best 1.35 inches. Samsung lists it at 34 mm in metric which is only 1.33 inches, so I’m not even sure you could argue rounding. Sorry, but on such a small display size, two decimal point accuracy is the minimum that should be presented.

NO DOUBT! I have the GT for several months. NOTHING beats the battery power! Nothing! My wife has the latest apple watch and has constant stress about the battery power. The GT put me up for almost 14 days with power!!!! And now I can even look at my blood oxygen. SpO. Fantastic feature! Nothing beats the Huawei GT2. Together with my Motorola G8, best Friends 🙂

I have a Huawei GT2 46mm with Amazon it Cost 340 CAD. I live in Vancouver, BC. I do alot of cayak, hiking and swimming, i use silicon for sports and leather for dating. I loove the design and battery life.

But if you have set a reminder on your phone and turn on notification for that reminder then you get the notification on your watch and it can vibrate or play a sound for that notification from the built in speaker of the watch. Yea as I said huawei are the best in terms of battery life and I have reviewed their watches too and to this date I havent found a watch that would beat huawei in battery life. Hi I am new to your channel and you did a great comparison, I am planning to buy galaxy watch active 2 but my only concern is battery life can you help me out I want to know below points:
1. Its screen on time.
2. If I watch videos or browse the internet on the watch then how long the battery will last.
3. On call with watch speaker how long the battery last.

The battery life is good about 3+ day. the battery is drained faster with GPS while outdoor running, wifi always on also drains battery and always on display is the killer with always only you will get max a day. Not so much with on wrist call or browsing. I'm very much a Samsung Person with the whole Samsung Eco system. I have the GW46mm which is an awesome watch and has served me well and still does but Black Friday Sales i was looking at both the GW3 & Huawei GT 2 and wait for it i chose the Huawei GT 2 ,,,,, why,,,, one thing,,,,, Battery Life, I care for that more than WiFi, NFC, Samsung Pay, Images, Music, 3rd Party Apps etc etc, ive never been one to keep Music, images or 3rd party apps on any smart watch either. My Main thing is all your daily Stats, Fitness, Sleep, BPM, Steps etc etc and the Huawei GT 2 has all that & for me its been AMAZING to date, even Huawei's Health App on my Note 20 Ultra has so far been flawless. To not have to charge my watch every 24 hours is Gold ;-) Im on my 5th day with the Huawei GT 2 and still at 60 % battery life,,,, WOW. This is the thing, in certain Galaxy Watch Groups im in, one thing people complain about is battery life and so many people will say turn this off, turn that off, turn AOD off lol, just to get an extra day of battery life on any GW, so in essence this is stupid why have all these features on a watch if you have to turn them all off just to get 2 max 3 days on a watch ?? It dont make sense lol. To me its all gimmicky. In Australia the GW3 costs $649 yep you read correct and it was NOT even on sale for the Black Friday Sales where in fact the Huawei GT 2 was $299 on Sale so for me its a no brainer ;-) in all fairness to the Huawei GT2 it has to be compared to a "like for like" Smart Watch, comparing it to an Apple Watch or Samsung Watch for its Features of coarse they will win hands down lol ;-) great Video none the less Cheers ;-)

Good video and comparison. However, like your other videos I have seen, you seem to not know where all the workout options are on the Samsung. There are way more than on the Huawei, including ones for individual weight lifting exercises, etc. The ones you showed in this video are only the auto-detection activities. I don’t mean to criticize. I just think it’s important for people watching and making a decision on which one to buy. Otherwise, great video.

The point I was trying to make over here was It does not auto detect gym based exercises, like if I were to just start doing an arm & back workout both the watches will not detect each moves, I have to manually select the moves; if you use fossil gen 5 it actually detects the movement like the difference between a lat pull down & a bench press. Nonetheless I haven't miss led any one, just informed that in terms of auto detection of exercise moves they won't self detect each moves. Thanks & I appreciate your input.

love your in depth reviews, you talk about more features than any other reviews i have watched. however i still cant decide between the 2, i have the samsung gear sport and its a great watch, however i think its time for an upgrade, im more drawn to the huawei watch as i have always had samsung smartwatches, though ive never seen the point in downloading apps for it, i just like using it for fitness and notifications, however i do like reading my messages on my watch too when my phone isnt near or i cannot be bothered lifting the phone. On the GT2 does the music app sync with the music from your phone (i use spotify on my phone) or can it only be used for downloaded music onto the watch?

Amazing video, just one question, is Huawei Watch GT2 compatible with other smartphones as well?
I have a Huawei phone now, but in a year or two I will change it and move to something else because huawei doesn't support Google apps anymore. So can I use the watch with phones like OnePlus or Sony?
Edit: also, I would pick Huawei watch any time because all the premium features on the Galaxy Watch like watching RUclips or twitter are pretty much useless. Like, who would use a watch to look at RUclips... I just need an amazing battery life and a good training, sleep, heart rate, and stress tracking.

Garmins are great at fitness tracking but it does not have a built in speaker like active 2 bjt you can connect bluetooth speaker they both are same price but I would go with active 2 for the apps, built in speaker, LTE option more options with watchfaces etc.

Based on my experience after almost half a year of using active I am able to get 2 days which is way less compare to my huawei watch which is 2 weeks but Samsung actives battery is far better than other wear OS watch. I would say if you want to stick with Samsung active 2 is good. Also Samsung announced the active 3 which has a bigger battery than active 2 to be launched in Aug so you can wait & get active 3. The price for Huawei watch gt 2 in india is around 14k and Samsung Galaxy watch active 2 is around 32 k. That is a hefty amount of price difference.

May I know the reason
No other Smartwatch goes more than a week in terms of battery life. I already take the active 2 is overall a good smart watch for Samsung phones. But still Huawei watch GT 2 kills every watch in terms of battery life. On top of that it gets all the basic features like ability to see notifications, Fitness tracking options like heart rate spo2 and a ton of workout options. It also has a microphone and speaker to take Bluetooth audio calls directly from the watch, had 4gb of on board music storage and looks good and is cheaper than active 2. But important is, the 42 mm have No mic and No speaker.... Specialy for Woman is this a No Go.
AND ... the RAM of the GT 2 is Not 2gb the Watch has only 32MB of RAM ...
Samsungs 40mm have all specs Like the 44mm and this makes the active 2 in all the better smartwatch
But the GT 2 ist also an amazing smartwatch, the battery Life is awsome.

Why has no one picked up on the fact that Samsung misleads on the display size? They publish 1.4 inch, but it is at best 1.35 inches. Samsung lists it at 34 mm in metric which is only 1.33 inches, so I’m not even sure you could argue rounding.
Sorry, but on such a small display size, two decimal point accuracy is the minimum that should be presented.

I dont have one+ phone but I have heard from some of my subscribers that with one + they are not able to install premium paid app due to lack of galaxy app store but no major complaints so far. I don't think gt2 specs are correct as it has only 32mb ram but the rest of the review is helpful.
