    Whats funny to me here is the Police car did not follow the Highway Code.
    Rule 155 of the highway code says:
    Give way to road users coming uphill whenever you can. If necessary, reverse until you reach a passing place to let the other vehicle pass.
    This said the Police Car may have argued he didn't feel it was safe to reverse... but either way you did a good job to sort this out. 🙂

    • @AntMan-b8l
      @AntMan-b8l 3 месяца назад +4

      Highway rule 155 is just another example of arse about face highway code rules then.
      A much, much better rule, would be to give way to road users on the descent.
      I'll let you work out why.
      Ps, it's got something to do with the clutch.

    • @rovingrods
      @rovingrods 3 месяца назад +1

      Because reverse gear is a lower ratio traditionally and that makes it easier to travel uphill.
      Although a 4x4, the police vehicle will almost certainly have a heavy duty grill in the rear to stop equipment from encroaching on the cockpit area. Also, there may be a matrix sign which can restrict the view slightly. Even so, a little polite communication from the police driver might have helped.
