- It's been awhile since I covered something from childhood fan favorite Banjo-Kazooie! This cover was not easy at all to be honest, but it sure was fun when I got the hang of it! I know I haven't uploaded much recently, I have been pretty busy. My Majora's Mask covers aren't ready yet, but I'm making progress. I might start doing more Banjo-Kazooie on the side since the music is so much fun!
Did you know almost the whole Banjo-Kazooie OST is in the key of C? I find Grant Kirkhope's Rare compositions fascinating, with his modal twists and turns around the circle of 5ths. Pure childhood bliss.

This song still gets randomly stuck in my head, to this day, haha. Especially the part where the ants "sing along" to it in the ant hill.

Great cover, I love this one too! Grant did a great interview about how he felt the tritone embodied the character and worked it into his motifs in different ways. Legendary soundtrack!
Seems like a lot of video game music is in C, is that probably because it's simpler when sequencing?
Like 99% of Banjo-Kazooie is in C and I don’t know if that was a creative decision or another reason 🤔

Im over here just trying to gain hand independence by playing a chord in one hand and arpeggio in the other... its even more impressive now that I've been ATTEMPTING to play for a couple months.
Funny thing the hand independence requirements for this cover is soooo demanding!
