As a continuation of my last flight from Dallas, i got right back onto 961 to DFW again to return to Atlanta. This flight however, was very empty unlike my last flight. Only 30 people were on board this flight and so i moved from 27A to 31A with the permission of the Flight Attendants during the safety demonstration which was very nice of them. During our taxi however, we had an older gentleman get up during taxi and use the lavatory. The F/A's just let him go and told the flight deck to wait until he returned to his seat which only took about 15 minutes. As always, the JT8D engines were phenomenal and the flight was terrific. Thumbs up to the crew not going back to the gate and making a fuss about having the passenger removed from the flight unlike the same scenario on a Delta MD88 where the crew returned to the gate and removed the passenger.

This is my favorite plane in the world! Love the AA MD-80. So sad to see it dwindle away.

Woah, I love how the strobe and landing lights immediately lit up the clouds after takeoff! I've sat in 31A many times. Great video! Also one of the best, clear audio JT8D-219 startups I've ever heard

I love watching inflight videos. I watch for service level concerns, safety, factoring, other forms of data pooling. The information helps me to best understand how to forecast customer concerns, while working in the travel industry. I watch for time factors, taxing takes a while and there is a lot of safety to adhere to during safety operation of handling the airplane, stability of crew and passengers, and comfort level Thank you for posting the video! _Mikey Patterson, Travel Counselor :)... After all that taxi time, open up a refreshing soft drink :)! Enjoy! Always, American Airlines :)

I may be one of very few, but I personally despise flying these MDs. The reason being that I am 6’4” and find the seats extremely uncomfortable without a proper headrest. I equate the seats on these things to be like the old bench-style seating in old cars, where the seat stops at the base of the neck. Thanks for the upload, but as far as I am concerned, I am happy their time is coming to an end with the airlines.

Parking at DFW next to an A321--a vast difference in technology! If you care to,view my AA IAH-DFW flight on my channel--unlike yours, mine is broken up into segments--was filmed before the electronics ban was lifted

I don’t think this one is N961TW... that bird has the dark blue headrests in coach and there isn’t a window in 27A on 961
