    Great video.
    I really enjoyed this one.
    As always i have an unrelated question..
    Sorry, but you are my go to source for trusted wine answers, lol.
    I just placed my first online wine order the other day and it got me to thinking about heat damage..
    I live in SE Texas,in this case it is fine, its not terribly hot yet and the travel time for my wine is less than 24 hours.
    At what point does it become a problem?
    How hot is too hot?
    How long in the back of a hot truck is too long?
    Will a 2 to 3 day trek in the back of a hot truck affect the wine in a noticeable way?
    The company (i used WTSO) says they will replace any damaged wine, that is great for Obviously heat damaged bottles but what if the change is small? Unless it is a wine that i know well,i most likely would not even realize it..
    Is this something that i should be worried about or are the effects negligible?

      A rule of thumb I heard about buying wine online is not to order after Memorial Day or before Columbus Day.

      You are right to be concerned about heat damage I live in south florida so I have my wine held in storage until I say ok Most online places will do this for free More than 2 days in 90 degree temps will degrade the wine quality especially if the cork is pushed up or there is seepage around the cork If you can get delivery within 24 hrs you may be ok

    Wine is too concentrated in flavor for me. It tastes way better when I water it down 1:3 with water and add a bunch of sugar. I can still taste all the same flavors, but in a much more pleasant lower alcohol format. An amazing drink I came up with is 1 part Bumbu Original Rum, 3 Parts Red Wine, 6 parts milk, a bunch of sugar to taste, and a tiny amount of salt. Mixing Wine to make less concentrated drinks is far more enjoyable for me than drinking straight wine and makes the wine go way further and cost way less.

    Brunello for hard Napa fans ? Woooah!! I am a very big fan of Napa cabs and I really dislike brunellos, I mean, they almost dead last on my preferences. If you are a big Napa cab guy there are many other options, maybe a big bold malbec or shiraz from Australia, but....brunello ????

      The acidity of Sangiovese does not seem like a good match for Napa fans. Big styles of Sagrantino or Ribera Tempranillo seems more for the Napa fans

    • @hocheye
      @hocheye Месяц назад

      Lol! If your stuck on big Napa cabs I get it. Brunello would be foreign to you. I just returned from Spain and Portugal, some wines I believe you would love. Big tannic acidic Italian reds are my fave. Great comment it's personal choice.
